Yeah, I used to be real big on making fanon too, but I'm pretty reserved about it now. The problem with fanon is that sometimes it becomes so well accepted that then when the creators replace it, it feels like a retcon.

Well that wouldn't happen. Techinically, Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms should have their own time zones... How is it daytime on both continents at the same time? :P

But on the other hand, if you're going to make fanon about it, keep it in the fanon and out of RPs.

I'm not saying it would happen. I'm saying I wouldn't mind and that it would be nice.
It would. I don't think they really have so much a passage of days there, save maybe in Nagrand, but everywhere else seems in perpetual night or day. Maybe it's dictated by other pieces of land which just happen to orbit around it, blocking out the sun for however many hours in certain places.

Name: Tovuni
Species: Draenei
Class: Paladin
Family:
Megelon
(younger brother),
Dornaa
(niece),
Jheel
(nephew), unnamed older brother (deceased)
Like most Draenei, Tovuni was a Paladin serving beneath the Vindicators in the Hand of Argus. And was among the many that sought to wrestle control of the Exodar from the Blood Elves. She and her Shamanistic brother Megelon pursued after the Blood Elves as they attempted to fight them for control over the dimensional ship before it was sabotaged in jump. Tovuni threw up a protective barrier around Megelon just before the Exodar crashed into Azuremyst, where their section was thrown into Ammen Vale in the crash, placing Tovuni in a month-long coma while her brother slowly healed her, a practical difficulty since both his arms were broken in the resulting crash itself. Due to the damage Tovuni recieved, she couldn't be moved else run the risk of killing her and had to leave her at the location she was at when Proenitus and the others found her at. When she awoke, she noted concern for her brothers arms as both of them were broken. Only for Megelon to dismiss his sisters concern for him at the moment and focus on reaching Proenitus at the base of the Crash Site, a statement which Tovuni stubbornly refused and prompted to actually carry her larger brother down to the site as well despite her injuries and his protests for the strain on her still-healing body at the time.
Eventually, it came time for Tovuni to leave Ammen Vale to make the journey to the Azure Watch in order to pursue the signal. Only for Megelon to intervene and say that he would not allow her to leave at any cost, not until everyone in the Vale was situated and ready for travel itself. It was at this moment which Tovuni rebuttled to him and said that there was no way she would be able to face her niece and nephew and tell them that their father decided to stay behind and feel bad about himself over a few broken arms instead of taking up arms and fighting the legion in order to get back to his own two children still stranded in Outland all on their own. It was at this moment that Megelon took up his older brothers old armor and joined Tovuni on thher journey beyond Ammen Vale to reach Outland and become a true family once again.
This is where the story of Tovuni and Megelons' adventures begin...

Okay, here's a new one from me,
Reila Darkspire
Race: Orc.
Gender: Female.
Class: Rogue.
:A Orc rogue, trained as all other up and coming warriors of the Horde. But Reila is now semi-famous among her kind for ditching the Horde in Outland. Unlike many others or her race, Reila dislikes the al fresco/semi-barbarian lifestyle of many in her faction, prefers fine clothing and jems to armor and leather, Fine wine over beer, and a generally prefers a much more civilized lifestyle. That is, of course, along with the very dangerous lifestyle of a professional rogue (which is her primary way of making money). She does not worship the elements, but instead actually savy's the light a little.
A highly skilled rogue, she briefly returned to the Horde at Thrall's request during the war in Northrend, but left again once Arthas fell, after a very heated argument with Garrosh Hellscream. A decision she sees as correct after watching what he has done to the Horde since becoming Warchief. Her primary home is in Shattrath city in Terokar forest. She had a home in Dalaran, but sold it after Rhonin's murder, correctly getting the feeling that things where no longer quite safe for Horde races anymore there.
She has considered returning to Azeroth to help take down Garrosh, though her general unpopularness among those who know here could make that troublesome. As such, she will more than likely leave this to those who still live on Azeroth.

The rest is fine. In fact, it's a rather good backstory, imo. However, the quoted part bugs me. Thrall himself asked her to rejoin the Horde? She's THAT good?
And she got into an argument with Garrosh, the War Leader of Northrend who has been known to kill his underlings? I dunno about that.

Is it that bad? Well, let's just assume that Thrall knew about several highly skilled ex-horde within Outland, and made an open invitation for them to rejoin the Horde for the war in Northrend. Reila was among them (not all said yes).
I don't see anything wrong with the Garrosh part. Garrosh was only the leader of the Warsong Offensive at the time, and she could have more than likely gotten away with it.

For the most part, people dislike characters that have had interactions with major lore characters. The open ended invitation works pretty well, though.

Character Name: Teralan Baast
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 67 (When last I RPed him)
Class: Paladin
View on Faction: Teralan believes that the Alliance is the greatest force currently organized, and fights for it whenever he can. He has some disdain for it, however, for what he believes was an arrogant ignorance to the plight of the Scarlet Crusade when he still served them.
View on "Bad Guys": He recognizes Kael'thas as a good leader doing only what he thought was best. Illidan was similiar, but had terrible luck. The Lich King is a tragedy, and must be obliterated in the name of the Light.
Personality: A veteran Paladin of the Silver Hand and Scarlet Crusade (Once upon a time), Teralan has always been known as a bold, courageous, and honorable man. While in public, he behaves as you would expect most Paladins to, his every action condoned by the Light itself, but in his social circles and in battle, he unleashes his true self: A furious battle-scarred warrior with a limited sense of mercy and a fragile mind.
Family: He has alot, having been around for a while and sleeping with many women. His eldest son is Beytran, a half-elven Ranger of the Alliance. He also has a brother, also a Paladin, named Kildaroy, who continues his legacy.
Description: A behemoth of a man, standing at a solid 6'4", Teralan would have been perfectly suited as a normal Warrior, but his faith gave him the life of a Paladin, and so one often finds him wearing heavy plate and a massive two handed weapon. Back in his youth he was often compared to Arthas Menethil, for they both shared striking similarities such as their long, blonde hair, and charming voices. Women liked him alot, especially the Dwarves.
History: Born and raised in the glory days of Lordaeron, Teralan grew to be an exemplary Paladin of the Silver Hand, befriending Alexandros Mograine and falling under the tutelage of Saiden Dathrohan. He fought in several wars, but came into fame during the Second, where he fought alongside Anduin Lothar and Turalyon against the Horde. When the Third War came around, Teralan followed his friend Alexandros, and his mentor Saiden to help form the Scarlet Crusade, where he served until he was alienated by Dathrohan, which showed Teralan that the Crusade was corrupt and no longer an army of Light like it once was. He then left to serve Stormwind in the new Silver Hand, becoming one of the Alliance's foremost champions, especially during the Burning Crusade where he and his brother found many victories against the lieutenants of the Burning Legion. This was where he eventually lost sight of his ideals, however. After defeating a powerful Dreadlord named Zarathorn, and trapping his spirit inside his own blade, Lan'tarrel, Teralan was forced to grapple with the Demon inside his mind, driving him mad by the time of the Cataclysm. He would eventually die at the hands of his guild-mates after an attempt to kill his own brother in a fit of rage.
