Why would you replace Greatness with Plea? I would replace Resurgence with Plea.
Greatness gives 90 + (300/4) = 165 INT on average per minute.
Talisman gives 128 INT on average per minute with an SP use ability.
Plea gives 108 INT with a SP proc.
Clearly to me, Greatness and Plea are a better combo, but I usually roll as Shadow.

I cureently do use Plea and the Talisman of resurgence and i think it is a great combo. Im probably gonna stick with these two trinkets untill all our other healers have the TotC ones simply because atm im loving my intellect (29k mana unbuffed ftw).

As you can see, the notion of "BiS" depends on what you need. I don't like int trinkets; I have plenty of mana from other sources. Prior to 3.2 I had
Dragon Soul
and
Broodmother
as BiS. Now it's hard to keep
Solace
off any BiS list.
For 3.2, you can pair up the Solace trinkets (regular + heroic) or use one Solace with...well, pick your favorite. I'm keeping Broodmother.
And I never liked Pandora's Plea. I passed on it twice. I won't buy Talisman or Greatness either...so, to each their own!

Not just what you need, but what roll do you fill as disc, tank or raid heals? For tank heals, Paolo's answer is correct.
But I'm seeing more and more raids take two holy pallys, one specced cookie-cutter holy/ret, the other specced into
Divine Sacrifice
and
Divine Guardian
. Their disc priests gear for all out shield spamming, meaning high sp, int, and mp5.
Solace
definitely still fits into this playstyle, and I see them equipping int/regen trinkets and gemming int and int/sp hybrids.
The best guild on my server got their Anub'arak kill (world 12th, server 1st) tonight with this setup.

I switch my trinkets depending on the fight. Some fights don't require much output from me to heal the tank but require me to support the group heavily. Ignis would be a good example.
Other fights like patch work i use no int rinkets at all since what i really need is shear spell power and haste.
The greatness is a good trinket for those endurance fights like Lord Jarax. Pooping Fiend and HOH with that proc is always remarkable. I got to thank Surran for that trick

He's justified his mana pool before...it's a work of art. More to prove what's possible than to accomplish something in particular, if his raiding situation supports it, frak yeah.
I live on the opposite side of the tracks myself, but am still in awe of that kind of commitment.

What I really meant to say was
I'm a girl with scary-big biceps. Sorry I wasn't clear the first time.
And "fat" is not the only word that opposes "skinny."
