High end feral dps....ArP need advice

Good Morning,
I will state this disclaimer right off the bat: I am old and my brain refuses to wrap itself around rawr/toskk properly.
I've been hearing many conflicting reports of when/if ArP is better than agility. Some say don't bother until you get a grim toll or mjlonir runestone. Others say regem once you are over 400 passive ArP from gear.
Last night I decided to regem and just eyeball the meters (yes im an old man, get off my lawn). I was putting out 8k+ in most fights in heroic ToC 10 man and spiking up past 11k on twins. This isn't an attempt to brag. I can get smoked quite easily by one of our DK dps. I'm trying to maximize my total possible output.
I'm sitting at 890 ArP currently and 930 with ArP food (75+%)
Would executioner be a better weapon enchant replacement for Berserking? The proc would take me up to 1050 ArP.
Any obvious gear upgrades I should be shooting for? I couldn't set up RawR correctly to help me out. It kept saying stick with the 8.5 shoulders and helm....is this right?
Anyone bored enough to look up my profile and do some spreadsheet number crunching or mess with rawr/toskk and help my slow self out?
Do I want to go for even more ArP for 3.2.2?
Should I just regem full Agi and go for a crazy crit/AP rate?
Why do kids walk on my lawn!
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I appreciate any advice/comments.

Sounds like you could actually use mongoose for your weap enchant. With high arp, the speed boost on top of the agil works out better than berserking.
As for anything else, you'll just have to feel it out(you're higher in PvE than the vast majority of players). It's your gear and we can't tell you what you can or can not use because it's up to what's available to you.

Ok Sorrows, I plugged your info into Toskk's calculator (since you're not using a Runestone or Grim Toll, I'd consider it to be pretty accurate). I had to guess a little at your unbuffed AP in Cat Form, I went with 8100 (hopefully that's close). Here's what I got for your summary assuming a fully stacked raid:
DPS = 7886.9923
AP:DPS = 0.5859
FAP:DPS = 0.7031
Str:DPS = 1.392
Agi:DPS =
1.4662
Crit Rating:DPS = 1.1767
Hit Rating:DPS = 0
Expertise Rating:DPS = 1.2799
Haste Rating:DPS = 1.2727
Armor Pen. Rating:DPS =
1.5336
Mongoose came out higher (these numbers are shown using mongoose), Executioner resulted in a DPS of 7844 -- however, I'm still not convinced that Toskk's method accurately portrays ArP proc effects.
It should be noted that Toskk has already updated his calculator to reflect the Nerf to ArP, so this is still valid post 3.2.2. It would seem that the magical "Breakpoint" is somewhere around 900 ArP, and you're over it. Also, he's added a "should I gem for ArP?" calculation, and you came up "Yes."
EDIT
: I also checked the box for "Hearty Rhino" -- Crazily enough, without this 40ArP the calculator recommends gemming for Agility, so you're barely over the "breakpoint" and it's ONLY because of the food. So if you're willing to accept Toskk's calculator as gospel, ArP becomes the "stat to stack" when you'll clear ~900 ArP with the gems. That's pretty high. (Post 3.2.2 remember).
EDIT2:
: Just to stir this pot again -- If you don't have a 20% armor reduction on the boss, Agi comes out on top. (Switching to full Agi Gems results in 91 more DPS without a 20% armor reduction)
I'd say go with Mongoose, and I'll also say your gear makes me want to cry with envy =)

Thank you very much for taking the time to number crunch!
So I'm guessing I should go for a mongoose then....gah so many choices hehe.
I can swap out a few more pieces of gear for more ArP. I'm hoping once we farm some toc 25 heroic I can see if I can hit the hard cap.
Thanks again for your input everyone.
edit: OH! any idea if swapping out the 8.5 head and shoulders for 9 or 9.25 would actually be a downgrade like rawr was saying?
And here's a fun theroycrafting question....
How about replacing the 8.5 shoulders and helm with the 245 badge gear? I'd lose some expertise and the 2pc set bonus but net an increase in agi and over 80+ ArP. Would it be worth dropping the badges on this gear to shoot for a 1000+ ArP?...heck with executioner enchant proccing that could get me close to the hard cap.

How about a low-end question? If I were to, say, equip a new 80 druid with
gear almost exclusively from ToC and heroic ToC
(Darkheart Chestguard, Titanium Impact Band, and Meteoric Whetstone outsourced), I would arrive at a base ArPen of 458. Would it be worth gemming for ArPen then?
While some people may tell you yes, I would say no. And after Patch 3.2.2 it's a definite No. Without a Runestone or Grim Toll you have to get HUGE amounts of passive ArP (after gemming) (Like 700ish pre-3.2.2, 900ish after -- these are "educated" guesses btw.) before it becomes "better."
You should probably just stick to Agi.

Why do kids walk on my lawn!
Because the sidewalk is on fire?

Nah, they are trying not to kill the worms on the sidewalk.(I miss Dr. Demento....)
Edit- On topic, I would swap out the shoulders, yes. I wouldn't swap out the head tho. Find another piece for set bonus matching IMO.

Mongoose has always been better then beserking. Personally i find executioner to my liking more then mongoose but its all personal preferences.
Either way all I have to say is don't use beserking. Its slightly worst dps wise and in the end it loses survivability. As long as you have enough ArP gemming for it is recomended. Even after the ArP nerf I have a feeling Feral Druids will be still pushing over ArP cap without a trinket to aid them. I can't be 100% Certain but we shall see once it happens. In game performance is where the real decisions come from.

I got destroyed last night on Hodir. The raid leaders girlfriend on her warlock put out 13.5k dps.
I cried myself to sleep.

Why would you cry yourself to sleep over a fight with massive +magic dmg debuffs for the boss? :P

I was merely poking fun at myself about no matter how much research and prep work you do to make your toon perform the best possible you can totally get beaten by simple mechanics.
In my guild we have a pretty good natured competition between some folks who reguarly top the meters. The reason I was "crying" is because in BC I raided as a warlock and was usually in the top spot. Now im trying to beat the same casters as a melee. It's all in good fun.
To quote the evil coach in the first Mighty Ducks movie
"It's not worth winning if you don't win big"

Well, hard mode Hodir turns melee into beeches for the ranged, so I usually just ignore my DPS on that fight and make fun of casters who can't break 10k.
