I wonder if it would be impossible to change the skin/model of the Night Elves to the High Elves. Since they are the same race, more or less, and the
Shen'dralar
are actually a group of High Elves, but with a Night Elf skin/model.
Correct me if I'm wrong! :)

we don't need yet another Elf race, even if they would suddenly decide to unite under Windrunner and form the empire of High Elves. Seriously, there's just no point.
This. I've played EQ2, where it feels like there are 20 different 'races' of Elf.
We.
Don't.
Need.
More.
Elves.
Each faction has an elf. That's plenty. And don't say I don't love Blood Elves, all but one of my Hordies are Blood Elves. And you say 'it's kinda a lore thing'. From what youve said, and many others have stated, YOUR lore is based on an archaic pen and paper RPG. MY lore is based on the game as it stands, and anything I can get my hands on. Besides, if you're going for old 'canon' lore, the WoW website says that everything in Quel'Thalas was wiped out :
Quoted from the History section of to World of Warcraft website:
"By the time Arthas and his army of the dead turned southward, not one living elf remained in Quel'Thalas. The glorious homeland of the high elves, which had stood for more than nine thousand years, was no more."
So yeah, all that were left were the elves that weren't in Quel'Thalas going by that. And what was left was barely enough to justify Blood Elves as a playable race. To what's left of THAT makes HighElves as a playable race laughable.
No more elves
/end thread
Edit: Bad grammar and spelling fairy strikes again

anybody wanna argue with me?but please with arguments not just yell NO MORE ELESThis is a message board, not a chatroom. It has not even been an hour since you first posted in this topic, not to mention that it is very late at night. Please do not clutter the topic with posts that do not contribute to the topic, and be patient; you're not going to get replies instantaneously.
Anyway, in response to your plea for the addition of High Elves to the Alliance: If you read the topic, most of your arguments have already been proven invalid. They are not the same as Blood Elves technically, but neither are they currently significant or relevant enough to be added as a playable race. Almost all of the High Elves became Blood Elves, and whatever few are left are very scattered and emaciated. There are several notable High Elf NPCs in the game, almost all of which serve great purpose, but they are not united nor strong enough as a race to be playable.
As for gameplay purposes, their model is identical to the Blood Elf one save for the eyes. The Draenei serve as an excellent counterpart for the Blood Elves; they worship the Light and the Naaru whereas Blood Elves connive and feed off arcane magic, and even imprisoned M'uru. There are already two Elf races, and before you bring up the "There are 3 human races!" argument, keep in mind that Worgen players will be in their Worgen state almost all of the time. You are automatically transformed into the Worgen state when you enter combat, and while you have the option to pick and choose which form you'd like while you're out of combat, I would be willing to bet that most players would pick their Worgen form over their Human form, simply because it is something new and refreshing.
Also, the Forsaken do not really count as a "Human" race, IMO, for obvious reasons. If you really want to look at the Forsaken as a "Human" race, then you might as well say that all Elf races are actually Troll races, as it has been highly speculated and believe by many that the Elves descended from the Trolls.
As a final note, welcome to Wowhead. In the future, you may wish to refrain from "reviving" old topics unless you are contributing new and relevant information. Enjoy your stay!
