well yeah I guess some of them mightve, but having nails nailed between your arm bones (those 2 in your forearm) and then hanging there until you died would suck
offtopic is fun sometimes but...
I dont judge on peoples sexual preference, they can do whatever they like
and what part of genesis you refer to? Sodom and such? and if so which parts?

It just isn't natural 2 men or 2 females cannot create a child, because it isn't natural.
you dont see any homosexual animals in nature cause if you did they'd be extinct soon afterwards. It's not even included in religion if you belive in it but I won't get into that here.
here
is an article from National Geographic, about bisexual and homosexual activities amongst the animal kingdom.
I guess you do see them. Woops.
Also; The bible says marriage should be between a man and a woman, and I personally belive this whole gay fad will pass in 20 years or so and they'll start declining
The bible says alot of things. Most of them are dead wrong.

I'm going to restate my view, for those who have yet to hear it:
I don't think government should be allowed to tell people they should or should not be allowed to get married. Doing so wouldn't serve the purposes of defending our borders, keeping law and order, or stabilizing government. So, government has no business regulating marriage.
Therefore, my answer is neither. Homosexuals should not be lawfully permitted to get married, and neither should they be denied. Neither should heterosexuals be allowed to get married, neither should they be denied. To do so increases government's power to regulate religous ceremonies.

Can we all agree that the rights are not granted by government. I'd rather marriage was not a legal matter. Kind of like breathing. I think the right to breath is not granted by government. Life... one of those inaliable rights. Much like other liberties.

I've been trying to argue that rights are intrinsic to human nature since page...uh, whenever I joined :P

You are trying to equate breathing with marriage? That's quite a stretch.
Marriage is not an inalienable right. The only reason to go through a legal ceremony for marriage is to get the legal benefits, which are granted by the government. You want the benefit that government grants to married couples? Go through the legal hoops to be "married" in the eyes of the government.
If you take government out of the picture, then it is a non-issue. Anyone can live together, have a wedding, call themselves married, etc. Everyone has the right to live however they please. THAT is an inalienable right. (as long as you don't ingringe on other people's right, etc, etc .. but that doesn't play into this debate at all).
Why should there be extra rights when you get married? What rights? After you list those rights, think to yourself if those rights should be granted by the government. Ask yourself if you think government should be able to take those things away.
I think you'll find that marriage, and the things that come with it, should belong to people, and government should have no reason to take them away.

Where did I say the government granted rights in relation to marriage? I said benefits. I don't know of anything off the top of my head that the government grants to married people other than the tax benefits.
I'd certainly be curious what "rights" you are so set on though.
Again, why is it within government's power to grant benefits to married people? That means, that it is within government's power to deny those benefits. Now list a 'benefit' you think it would be ok for government to grant to a marriage.
