Anduin grandfather would be Llane Dark, Adament would be his great grandfather.

No, Irinida thought it was, but it was the Varian vs Jiana thread that got locked due to.... heated discussion. This one just fell back to page 6.

Heh, I randomly scan back every once in a while to re-read threads, seeing if I can find more information for my lore starved brain.

Okay...so yes this is back from the end of 2009, but as we've seen in MoP, Anduin is back and working hard to help fix things, it's time for a little rez of this thread.
So game time wise, it's been a months and we've seen a lot of evolution of Anduin. Starting in the Shattering, where he made an ally of Baine, and the things he did during the Dwarf revolution in Ironforge was nice to see. Since then, he's been training alongside the Draenei and Velen, and was instrumental in two of the leader stories: In Velen's he helped stop the riot between the Draenei forces and the refugees who had gone to Azuremyst, and in Varian's he was able to help protect his father from an assassination.
Once he get's to MoP, he ends up learning about the Sha, and rather then runs from it, he wants to help the Pandaren in dealing with it. He's steadily going down a path where he will end up as one of the best kings of Stormwind we've ever seen.

Hopefully this won't turn him into the living plot point/messiah that Thrall has lately become. It's nice to see him doing things but when Anduin becomes king, I hope they don't simply shuffle Varian off to the side with some random assassination or a thinly veiled and pointless demise which only served to speed up the succession.
