You're making it sound like without Earthen Power, Enh Shamans are nothing but a cripple class for stingy people who won't leave the shaman class because it was their first character they got to 80 and are lazy to make another class.
I really don't mind the change. Yeah it really sucks the 5 second immunity is gone now, but did we really need the 5 second immunity? Yeah it helps ALOT, but right now by your tone you are talking as if Earthen Power got nerfed so hard it's not even worth speccing for.
We have numerous other ways to escape snares anyways. Re-adapt and learn
But if you really wanna know why...
You're basically immune to every slow effect except roots. If we include cooldowns, technically you will only be snareable every 10 seconds, but you can't even say 10 seconds because of ghostwolf and spirit wolf

Immunity is lame. It's a good change. It still removes snares each 'tick'.

If you can't understand why complete immunity to snares on 3-5 people at the same time is a pretty overpowered ability, then I don't know what to say.
The thing pulses each 3 seconds?
So you want the counter to be them killing your totem and then waiting for the immunity to wear off. Maybe you're not a great shaman, but a decent shaman will drop his earthbind out of line of sight so that it is a bit harder to kill.
I just find 'unconterable' abilities annoying in pvp, and am happy to see them being limited. You can't tell me ret bubble+wings+hammer wasn't annoying.

Good feedback. Thanks. Oh, any idea where you got this info on removing snare each "tick"? How many secs between "tics"?
Why are you complaining about people's knowledge on Enhance PVP if you yourself don't even know how your totems work?
Just an FYI, our Totems have a 3-second "Tick". Meaning, every 3 seconds, it will pulse and remove snares. In the case of the Earthen Power bonus prior to 3.2.2, it overlapped with the 5-second timer and gave you immunity for an extended duration.
All of our totems are dispellable. This totem has 5 health I believe (correct me if I'm wrong), which means its dispellable by ANY class. It seems like more people who don't play enhance pvp are giving opinions on this. So far I have gotten absolutely no valid feedback on how this talent has been a gamebreaker for any combo other than Beast Cleave teams.
I'll search elsewhere. Thanks for your time.
Cheers
What the hell are you talking about? Because we're repeating what Blizzard themselves said were the reasons these changes were made? Yea, we're annoyed...but we're used to it. Cue "%Class% gets no love" whining here.

For redundancy sake, the post itself from GC:
We think Earthen Power and the Ghost Wolf change were trying to solve the same problem. Together they felt like overkill to us, and we thought the Ghost Wolf change was more interesting so we kept that one. Your mileage may vary and I would be surprised if many shaman agreed since they were the target of the nerf.
Players in general make too much of Arena representation, and especially the SK-100. Those numbers can be very valuable if analyzed correctly, but they are not a measurement of Arena balance the way a thermometer measures the temperature. Besides, abilities or strategies can be annoying or overpowered even if that doesn't translate to comp dominance.
To address the (frankly overblown) RMP "bias", we're seeing a lot more comps this season so far, which is cool. We just want to make sure those comps are doing something besides just blowing someone up. We certainly think the Arena can support more than RMP, which is why we have made so many changes for other classes. But the reason a lot of players like the RMP playstyle, and why some consider it the only legit team (though that is emphatically not our viewpoint) is because it requires a lot of coordination and layering of abilities. That's not to say RMP can't go for the blow someone up strategy on occasion, and there is nothing fundamentally wrong with that strategy existing, as long as it's not the only one. When every match feels like the same match, Arena gets a lot less interesting.

if the new ghost wolf is whats doing this kind of a nerf then thats blizzard not thinking when they implement a change, druids can dance through all of thier forms and break everything, roots still effect us in gw and as a more resto based player atm we cant heal in gw, will tree druids can and are immune to polys. and if the waere to look at druid dk ms warr, cyclone healer nom dps cyclone nom, that cycle is very mean to my 3s team

One hypothesis behind the beast cleave nerf is the MLG tourney, where a beast cleave beat a RMP and won. Which is just unacceptable to blizzard because RMP is the "sacred" yet "balanced(in blizzard's eyes)" comp that should just not lose, especially to a shaman team. This theory actually has a lot of believability. As far as I've seen, I haven't seen a RMP nerf other than the penance nerf, despite the fact that RMPs have dominated 3s throughout WotLK and even in tourneys RMPs whined up fighting other RMPs in finals.
But that's just one persons biased opinion. So, feel free to pick at it
