Gift of Naaur is totally useless at 80. you will receive healing spell much more powerful. GON BTW has a CD of 3mins. Roll a human: Every man for himself in PVP is the best choice.

GoN on my draenai WARRIOR is awesome for lvling, it gives a class that had no in combat heal, a hot that was fairly decent.
for a priest though...not exciting at all. roll N elf (i rolled dwarf just cause)

It's not the best racial talent for a Priest, no...but if you are a Draenei, make sure you
use
Gift though. Sure it's a bit situational, but it doesn't trigger GCD (and costs no mana, LoL), so you can hit it and then immediately use something else in a pinch.
Also, as a Shadowpriest, it can be fun to macro it to Dispersion (no GCD so it fires at the same time if you put it first), then click to change back into Shadowform (Gift will pull you out, but you can switch back to Sform
while
Dispersed...and thus protected. It does eat mana, though). I find it a useful oh-crud button when I need health and to run away, but don't necessarily need a lot of mana, or need just
enough
mana, but also health. Healing without losing Shadowform's protection is nice.
Its CD no longer synchs with Dispersion (and didn't before with the Glyph), but if they're both up it can be a fun trick. I got a nice "WTF?" out of someone when dueling, once, LoL.
I use this:
#showtooltip Dispersion
/cast Dispersion; Gift of the Naaru(racial)
/cast Dispersion
Left click = Dispersion alone, Right click = Gift + Dispersion.
Often I want to save Gift's CD, and when dispersing for mana you don't really want Gift to force you to re-enter Shadowform.
This is great for mages with Iceblock, too.... In fact it was a mage who gave me the idea!
But again...there are much better racials for a Priest. If the racials are a big factor for you, NE or Human are far superior.

Shadowmeld for PvP i feel is good if your with someone. Ususally two people attack one person, they freak when i show up lol. That said, as a healer, you will be focused on in PvP. So having that racial allows you to use something like Essence of Grossemer, which is a very nice amount of health.
