oooh thats rough.
Makes me wonder just how much of Stormwind is gonna get thrashed, seeing as how close it is to the point where Deathwing crashes his way back into Azeroth with his massive chin...
errr...... none?
deathwing (as far as I know) emerges is from grimbatol, he has been hiding on deepholme (wich is near stormwind) but when he finnaly re-emerges, he does so from grim-batol, and for that, the entire wetlands are tottaly devastated, and I mean the entire zone is being ripped up and reworked from top to bottom, expect that zone to be irrecognizable when cataclysm hits.
deepholme is an UNDERGROUND zone, so even if it's near stormwind, on the surface nothing dire will happen, if anything, gnomer is an underground city, and it's also near deepholme, I could see that place in more danger than stormwind.
what I don't get is why orgrimmar get's hit being in a diferent continent.........
getting back on topic, I am also hoping cairne won't die, at least not at the hands of garrosh, blizz should be smart enough to know that if they make garrosh kill cairne, then every single horde player will hate garrosh, 100%.
no room for forgiveness here, heck if he kills silvannas or lothemar I may not even care, but vol'jin, and cairne are UNTOUCHABLE, if garrosh get's his brown hands on either of them, I'm gonna hate him for good.
so far it's still unconfirmed wheter or not garrosh kills cairne. or if cairne even dies at all, me, I'm hoping that after thrall packs his stuff and goes to save the world (leaving the worst candidate ever for warchief) cairne will join him as his trusty side-kick, ala-starky and hutch.

I dont think Orgimmar is being affected by the Cataclysm. After Thrall leaves to stop Ragnaros, Garrosh remodels the city to look more like Warsong Hold.

Everyone hates Garrosh now, but like they did with Varian in ICC, Garrosh will most likely turn around and change his warmongering ways.
lothemar
Does this guy even do anything? I want undead Kael'Thas for leader of the Blood Elves.

This is what will most likely happen. Though i hope they make Vol'jin do something instead of sitting in a tent outside of Ogrimmar since he isnt allowed inside :P.

But yeah, I can see Cairne working with everyone else in Hyjal.

I'm very skeptical about anything and everything that comes from a source that isn't official. MMO-Champion isn't an official Blizzard website, so unless I see it, I won't believe it.
Blizzard does tell us, I think, that Garrosh still has some character development left for him before Cataclysm and that we won't hate him as much as we do now.
Well, considering Varian will be showing Saurfang Sr. some compassion with the death of Saurfang Jr., which is a huge stretch for the guy since Varian hates Orcs, I won't rule out the fact that it's possible for Garrosh to move himself out of my Eternal Hatred list.
If Garrosh where to have Cairne, who is easily one of the most respected faction leaders ever, killed for whatever reason, that's very counter-intuitive to what Blizzard has been telling us; he'd be hated by nearly the entire Hoard, even more so then he is now, and probably irredeemable.
Now, we know that Cairne, bless his heart, is getting to be an old Tauren, so it's not beyond reason to say that he steps down due to old age. At the same time, we also have that image of Thrall and Cairne saving little kids from rubble, so my hope is that whatever Thrall is going to be doing in Cataclysm, Cairne is gonna be with him, helping him out. Because the two of them really are "so badass". =)
^ THIS!
It SO does not make sense for the Horde to let Cairne die. Specially by Garrosh who butts heads with Thrall all the time. I'd imagine Vol'jin, one of Thrall's right hand men would not stand for Garrosh to kill the Tauren leader after hearing about some "treachery" especially if it comes from a Grimtotem.
Also, why would Cairne be accused of allying with Night Elves of the Alliance when the Tauren and Night Elves of the Cenarian Circle and such already have ties. I don't see Cairne being a traitor unless he was framed, but if so he better not die. He's been one of the Horde leaders for too long to die.

Lol Starsky-ee and Hutchy-ee. Wow, I can see Thrall and Cairne in that get up with pistols out and thrashing through the streets in their get away car. xD 'Scuse me, a two-seater Mammoth.

do new users purposely seek out old threads to necro? cus im starting to notice that trend.
Regarding Cairne: what you're replying to--the traitor part--is old news (seven months to be exact). The new rumor going around is that Cairne will challenge Garrosh in non-fatal combat for the <Warchief of the Horde> position. However, due to the Grimtotems' poisoning of Cairne, the tauren leader will falter at the wrong moment as Garrosh swings his axe causing a fatal blow. Garrosh will become devastated by this, since he actually looked up to Cairne and never meant to kill him. But then he gets his balls back and go apesh*t on the Grimtotems.

I love your optimism my friend. Keep onto that, since we're bound to see what an asshat garrosh is.

You know regardless of how he put it, what reason does he not have to bring this thread up again? Its a related subject to events that are about to transpire in wow, so instead of making a new thread he found this one more related to what he wanted to talk about.

You know regardless of how he put it, what reason does he not have to bring this thread up again?
because is based on outdated information, the original rumor was that orgrimmar gets destroyed, and garrosh rebuilds it as the monstrosity we know now.
the original rumor was that garrosh kills cairne by acusing him of treason.
the original rumor was that thrall was coordinating alliance and horde forces in hyjal.
the original rumor was that stormwind was hit by the cataclysm, not by Deathwing directly.
all of this has been scraped.
New Info, is that Thrall makes no apereance whatsoever in Hyjal, a gazillion screenshots of quests in hyjal show that is malfurion calling the shots there, futhermore, Ogrimmar never gets hit by neither deathwing nor the cataclysm, Garrosh remodels it simply because he likes big spikes (hummm is he compensating for something pointy that's smaller?)
there's also this part wich has already been confirmed in the latest press release at june 8, that stormwind gets atacked by Deathwing personally, because in the comics, varian killed onyxia, and displayed her head as a trophy, so, he goes to SW to enact revenge, and to reclaim his daugther's head to rebuild her as the zombie onyxia we've seen in the leaked pics.
last but not least, the rumor of Garrosh Killing Cairne for treason has now been replaced by an even more wild rumor (tied to that other wild rumor of varian killing moira) in wich Cairne, upset by all the facist changes garrosh brings to the horde, challenges him to a duel.
Unknown to both cairne and garrosh however, is that the grimtotems had been slowly poisoning Cairne over the years, and this causes cairne (who's already 95 years old believe it or not) to die during the duel.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
as a result this thread is obsolete, and unnecesary to revive, as the whole base of this is an outdated RUMOR that 1 year later has STILL not being confirmed, and in fact multiple parts of that MMOchamp+PCgamer sponsored crap rumor has been confirmed FALSE.
Lol Starsky-ee and Hutchy-ee. Wow, I can see Thrall and Cairne in that get up with pistols out and thrashing through the streets in their get away car. xD 'Scuse me, a two-seater Mammoth.
boo, who needs 2 pistols when you can shoot lightning from your eyes? and who needs a fat mammoth when you can do more badass show-off stunts in a mechano-hog? Cairne driving, Thrall shooting lightning from the side-car.
:P
being serius now, bro' I know u're new, but DO NOT revive old threads, they are old because their info is outdated (for a reason nobody has talked about them in almost 1 full year)

How can they expect people who play as Tauren (Tauren druid here for my horde character) to accept this. We know damn well Cairne isn't a traitor. If Garrosh kills him, like an idiot, what makes him think loyal Tauren like myself are going to follow him? I'm not playing horde anymore if they do this. I'm not following a bloodthirsty loser like Garrosh.

I'd like to say the same thing, but what I'm hoping for is a rebellion, those opposed to garrosh to fight back. Heres the thing, even if Garrosh isn't completely responsible for Cairnes death (the grimtotem being the ones poisoning him) by the fact Garrosh would mark Cairne, one of the hordes heroes as a traitor, that itself is worthy of rebelling against that asshat.
And Rank well the thread was started on other rumors is now changing and adapting to the new info released, and thus extending the information throughout. Its still better then starting a new thread.

I've had enough of this.
Cairne fell on Garrosh's axe. Garrosh didn't even want to duel Cairne.
When they dueled, Garrosh tried to disarm Cairne. He tripped, he died.
I don't see a link anywhere.

Was in that information about the new 'rumour'; same one that has Varian supposedly invading Ironforge.
