wild quiver. Until you are ArP capped Imp. steady shot is one of the biggest wastes of a talent point.
You don't need to be capped, but you do need a fairly large amount of it. It's most effectively used after dropping Arcane Shot because you get a nice rotation of CS > AS > SS x 4-5, and your ISS procs are then almost always used on CS which is obviously the desired result.
I also don't buy into the notion that you need to be able to hit the ArP cap with trinket proc to drop Arcane from your rotation. Both the spreadsheet and my DPS parses point to that being false as I have 500 passive ArP with no trinket, and i come out ahead with 3/3 in ISS and dropping Arcane from my rotation.
You also have some additional value in the fact that Arcane Shot will always be off cooldown and ready to use when you have to move. Things like that can't be modeled into a sim, but are valuable none-the-less.

With no points in Improved Arcane or Hunter's Mark (somebody else covers that), i almost have more points than i know what to do with.
I went with 2/2 Rapid Recup even though i often don't need it, and i've been trying to keep my hit rating at 230 or below so i can get something out of FA.
FWIW, i lose 53 dps in the spreadsheet if i disable the 3 pts in ISS and do not reassign them... dunno where i would put them anyway. However, if i go 1/2 Rapid Recup and then drop the 3 pts in ISS it's 80 dps b/c i start to lose hawk uptime and the mana savings from ISS become a factor.
As for Wild Quiver... 3/3 is worth 211 dps for me.
For comparison 3/3 in Improved Barrage yields 85 DPS, and 3/3 Improved Arcane Shot is only 62 DPS when putting Arcane Shot back into my rotation.
I'm pretty sure that justifies the need to always include Wild Quiver in your MM build.
I'm running these numbers with 500 passive armor pen.
