And now, the stupidest (or greatest?) of my ideas: the ability to become a merchant, organize a shop and shipments, employees, or caravans, etc. If you stay on task with your business, you get a steady profit stream. They could work in dailies, too (someone robbed your store- find and kill him; bandits attacking your caravans, etc.) to keep things interesting, and give you profit bonuses based on your professions (a Master Alchemist would get a 5% profit bonus to a potion shop, a Leatherworker would get the same for a leather armor store, etc.) You could also put items you craft yourself into your shop's stock as specialty items (this would be a good way to make a bit more than vendor price for items that won't sell on AH). Obviously this market would be NPC-based. Lets just say that a well-run business would net you 300g/week, a mediocre manger would rake in about 150g/week, and a poorly run business would only get you 50g/week. Run your business poorly for too long and you'll have to give it up, sell it to someone else (so that they can expand), or sink your own gold into it to revive it. Of course they could expand it so that after several months of successful business you could expand your shop to other cities, or get innkeepers and merchants in smaller towns like Hammerfall and Kargath to carry your goods. To balance the expansion, the demands on your business would get heavier (more dailies, more intricate business, etc.) so you would have to put considerable time and effort into it. I know, I know, Warcraft is about killing people and having orgies in their blood and mangled organs, but this is just an idea to provide an "alternate lifestyle" to WoW, or a consistent, manageable money-making system.
Thoughts?
azeroth is not great enough to get player merchants

A guild hang-out where you can play cards, trade loot, etc.
Edit: By "loot" I mean buff food and potions and similar items.

I'm going to have to say add some more low level dungeons like lvl 15-60 cause we are stuck with the same old dungeons and there are never new ones.

- 'Learning' tabards like learning pets and mounts.
- acces to list of completed quests (per zone). I usually go for rep as one of the last aspects of a zone. So I've done some rep-quests, but for lore's or leveling sake. It is so frustrating trying to figure out where you are in the rep-quests. Why not simply have a list per zone that tells you what quests you've done?
- An arrow pointing to the givers of the last 1, 5 or 10% quests (per zone). Hunting down that last questgiver, hiding out in the middle of nowhere, is so annoying. Especially when after finally finding one of these sods you discover you've already done his quests, but forgot (see previous point) or he turns out not to be for your class.

it's been mentioned already but i'd do something with languages. be able to learn from books or buy lessons from a faction you have rep with, the higher the rep the better you can speak it. i never understood the purpose of having bars for languages on your skills tab. everyone speaks Horde or Ally Common. ok. lookee here, i'm an Orc and can speak in a language only known to Orcs. neat. i'm a dwarf and speak in drunken dwarfy ways, oooooh. why do i need a tab saying that i can do that? i hope Blizz expands on languages someday.
