Problem with a macro (Yes, I read the sticky...)

So I decided to try out the macro from the Hunter Macro sticky that lets you use modifiers to get multiple abilites on one slot, the one that looks like this:
#showtooltip
/cast Aimed Shot
/cast Arcane Shot
It looked like it would work great; it showed Aimed Shot on the toolbar and then switched icons and tooltips when I held shift. I have it on the 1 slot on my action bar, so I hit 1 and it shoots Aimed Shot fine. But when I hold down shift and hit 1, nothing happens. It shows the tooltip/icon and everything, but it does not shoot Arcane Shot unless I go over and actually CLICK the icon when holding down shift, which I'd very much prefer not to do.
Anyone have any insight as to why this is happening?

OH that makes a lot of sense, thanks you guys, I got the BindPad addon which works like a charm but I'll keep that in mind for any computers that I use that don't have the addon.

Or otherwise get rid of the binding for shift key.
This.
I've found that modifiers in macros only work when clicking macros.
Not at all, I have ExS, Kill Shot, BA, SrpS, Steady Shot, AiS, and Multi-shot bound from 2-5, just push shift to change them. I have even more bound on MM spec.

Dude, you dont really need a addon or macro for this, if you can handle having them in diffrent spots in your action bars all you have to do i to into Esc > Keybingings. From here you can bind any ability to what you want, just hold Shift and press one.
Thats it:)
