Is it really worth going back to WoW?

Recently I quit World of Warcraft, although it isn't the first time I left but this time I was really upset with it. Reason being is most of the time I'm always alone and I'm surrounded by nasties and annoying noobs but mainly nasties, like if you ask something on their general or trade channel you will be either flamed or ignored, even WoW's Forums is nothing more than big flame war and I have a character who a lot of people there think I'm an attention seeking Troll while really I'm someone who wants to make friends and finding friends is too hard in that game.
The levelling itself is too long, I don't want to play the game alone knowing that it's an MMO and a lot of the low level instance partying is absent, well that maybe due to it being a 5 year old game and by being old means there's a lack of good new players. I know the biggest majority of WoW's players say just get to the cap but I don't like being a lone wolf and I know for sure playing WoW alone isn't fun and only getting friends at the level cap would be a frigging bore-fest
I've even been in guilds where I ask something and the thing is they never do help you out and usually when you talk to them, too many times what you say never gets replied back and for some reason a lot of people are not using voice chat.
Look, there should be no excuse to why people shouldn't socialise with each other, if people like me are not allowed to have their says then what is the point of playing if everyone else is going to be a jerk. So it begs the question of whether it really is worth going back to WoW?
But with a new expansion coming that will change not only the environment but also the new race/class combos as well as the new races, it probably won't be worth going back until Cataclysm comes out but by that time would it still be worth going back to it?

WoW is notorious for its bad community. If you want a more mature one, look into other mmos such as EQ2.

I thought you say that, either that or wait for Star Wars The Old Republic which looks like it's going to be awesome.

Try a different guild and server. It could work wonders. There will be "nasties" as you say no matter what you do in WoW or in real life. It is how you deal with it that makes the difference.
Finding a decent server and guild is no easy task for me unfortunately. =(

It's really based on opinion. I say get a trial account, level a new character on a new realm, while playing nice and slow. I always loved WoW. All my friends jumped right into WotLK content, and are furious with it. I stayed in BC a bit longer, and then leveled slow, capping off at 80 in May. I'm loving every last minute of it.
So pretty much, just join a medium population server, where there aren't too many scrubs, or too many people thinking they're too good for you since you're low level. Go either a new race, class, faction, or all three. Then finally, make some new friends. Just start off clean, take it slow, enjoy the lore and quests, and you'll be fine.
EDIT: To your post above mine, try asking the "Starting Off" forum on the WoW forums what a good server is. I was recommended Terrokar for a Horde character, and I've met plenty of great people who are low levels. Garrosh is my main server, and despite whom it's named after, the community is relatively good.

I'm not religious but for someone who is religious will depend on themselves. Difference is God is always with you, in WoW before level cap, no-one is with you most of the time.

Is this US or Europe? Because I'm from England after all.

I know for sure playing WoW alone isn't fun
Not true, I love playing solo.
Not being sarcastic, I just prefer it.

But why would you want to do that, this is an MMO so it should one period.

Um... wrong...
Playing by yourself until the level cap can be plenty of fun, it's just like any other game you'd play on a console. Plus, it doesn't take to long to get to 80.
Once there, just start running instances. When you meet people in PUGs who are nice, just talk to them a bit, and maybe ask about their guild. Then you may get to join.
