PvP oddities...

Hrm, someone told me that Rogues cannot stealth in combat and that the "Shadowmeld ---> Stealth" combo requires a 4 second wait in PvP...
I just tried it in PvE and I could re-stealth right after I Meld, is that because PvP is different? Or the person who told me that Meld -> Stealth requires 4 second is just wrong?

It might take 4 seconds for you to get out of combat, but mostly they are wrong.
That's what the guy meant... During combat, if you Meld, it will take you 4 seconds to get out of "combat status", then you can stealth.
However, I find that in practice I could simply Meld -> Stealth while there's like 5 creeps attacking me

silly nightelves with ur BS shadowmeld. why does blizzard torture me so with the nightelf druids and the shadowmeld fly away combo. Why not give us tauren druids that as well. Why not give us a vanish stealth while ur at it as well.
dont complain about it bugging out, it shouldn't be there in the first place.

It is not bugging out. The only time you can shadowmeld to get out of combat is when you're the only one there. If you have a partner there still in combat you will also stay in combat even if you shadowmeld.

The only two things I've seen really useful with shadow meld is if you start casting something while melded, it bugs and doesn't show the cast bar or animation(good for res races in 2's when it's healer vs healer left....). The other is interupting ranged casts before they are on the way. You can't "shadowmeld immune" a cast, but you can interupt a potentially incoming harmful cast with it so long as it's still being cast.
IDK why taurens complain. I've seen tauren shams and druids save their hide by stomping 4 people and squeezing off a heal un molested, or popping off a CC when they get too low.
For PvP Stomp>>>>>>>meld, so go QQ elsewhere. Stomp is uesful. Meld is a gimmick that doesn't work for anything consistantly other than ditching pets.

Combat takes 5 seconds to fade in a PvP enviroment after you make a hostile action.
Stomp<Meld. Why? Stomp has a cast time and can't be used to negate CD's.
Wait a minute... People just said that I COULD Meld ---> Stealth directly from combat if I am by myself...
Does this PvP 5 second limit apply ONLY to PvP? Because I have not seen it apply in PvE yet... (I could always MeldStealth)

Try melding a heal... or melding a cc on your partner.. or a cast on your partner.
