I was wondering what the best skill set for me would be. I'm almost level 70, and me and a friend want to do arena, and BG. right now i'm SL/SL and not sure if its the best for doing PvP. Outside of PvP i am hoping to help people in my guild level, but also start doing some Raids. could someone suggest what i might want to respec to or am i good. thnx
SL/SL is an arena spec. It won't perform particularly well anywhere else.
Given what you're interested in doing, you may want to consider a felguard spec:

This tends to do very well in BGs, is a solid raiding and heroic spec, and will definitely help you to powerlevel people in your guild.

ok just wondering if im completely crazy or not is this just insane for a PvP build or am i just a noob and if so feel free to flame me

Nightfall/Backlash is a viable PvP build. You're squishy without the lower level demo talents and you burn mana like crazy, but it is very good at burst damage. You'll OOM a lot, die a lot, and freak out some rogues/hunters when you proc Nightfall and Backlash back-to-back and two or three shot them.
Some tweaks, though. Pyroclasm is a horrible talent, you don't need 5/5 suppression for PvP. So something like this would be superior:

I have a question about a new spec that i've tried. I've actually been a destro lock for most of my time and i like high burst damage but i was looking for something a little more spread out. I've tried most of the other specs and i recently respecced to this build 21/0/40
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IVzrVRbzZZxx0trbthuV
I wanted to be able to pvp and still pve at the same time without a lot of trouble. I've actually kinda reworked another spec and dont want to try it because i really dont want to waste the money respeccing.
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IE0bbofzZZxg0tr0thuV
My thought behind the changes was you get a little more DoT damage and since drain tanking doesnt really do that much damage in the first place, and your getting instant cast shadowbolts consistently, draining life seems like a waste. You do more damage just by shadowbolting and critting and with the amount you do shadowbolt it can get pretty sick. Remember this is just a pvp/pve spec for high burst damage.

You're running a variant on Nightfall/Backlash.
Take a look at the Nightfall description. It procs on corruption ticks... AND ON DRAIN LIFE. In PvP you'll be draining both to recover your mana (you're incredibly inefficient) and to get Nightfall procs for your shadow bolt bursts. Fel Concentration is critical when you need to do this under fire to avoid pushback, just as Intensity is critical.
This isn't a dotting spec. The whole purpose of the build is taking enemies down fast with your burst. Dots aren't going to be ticking away on your targets long enough to be worthwhile.
You've also passed on Shadowfury to pick up Siphon Life, which really doesn't fit the build

See my only problem with drain life is that you sit there and spam that instead of firing off shadowbolts. if you put corruption on 3 or 4 different people in pvp than thats still a good chance that it will proc. Besides if im getting beat on draining life isnt really going to save me hence not that much survivability anyways. I'm just looking at the dots as a way to get a little better damage over time, seeing as most battles take longer than a couple minutes. I dont know, I just read the patch notes for the new patch and they are buffing emberstorm i believe to increase your incinerate speed so i will prolly go back to being a fire build anyways lol.

Hows this for leveling
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IfMZbgczsid0tstVx0z
Not bad, but needs some work.
Felguard shouldn't be considered until you're in the mid-50s (which, from your armory, is where you are - so good!). There are a few talents in there that you're wasting.
Improved Enslave Demon - no. Just... no. It doesn't work on your normal pets, so it's so specialized that it really doesn't help. Drop those points into...
Mana Feed. You need 1-2 points here to keep your Felguard happily chopping away.
I'd also fill out Fel Stamina with the points you have in Improved Health Funnel. Then again, that's a talent which has some fans around here.
Something like this for demonology:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IZbxczIizzest
Cataclysm is a no-go. Improved Shadow Bolt is much better.
5/5 in Improved Corruption. Suppression isn't a good talent for a felguard build.
and... would this build be good for anything at all
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IfMZ0xIzcid0xoZEx0zr0h
I have only been playing for about 1.5 months so I would also very much like some pionters if u can
Oh and can some 1 plz tell me waht CoD is
No, that's not a good talent build. Most of the good talent builds for warlocks go at least 40 deep in one of the trees.
CoD = Curse of Doom.
...... yes.. yes i am a noob
Hi, Monkeyking666
Oh this is what I have now but i cant decide to go aff. or descto. im torrn inside >_<
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-talents.xml?r=Blackwater+Raiders&n=Jezzining
Plz be nice this is my first toon.Do you mean a full affliction or destro build, or do you mean in addition to your felguard?
I'll assume the latter. Affliction will help you more if you spend your time soloing. Destro will help you more if you like to group up for instances.

I was just curious... Which one work better as a PvP warlock?
I respecced at 65 as a SL/SL lock and it worked pretty well to me at 60-69 BGs, but when I got 70, with my horrible greenie gear, I was just bored cuz I couldn't do anything...
Since now my focus isn't anymore BGing, and it's arena, I would like to ask which one is better... SL/SL or UA?
Here goes the links, they don't seem anything besides a regular one, but just to give it a check >.<
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IE0MiRfzqtbobxZxx0z
for UA
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IA0MiRfzzZbxczIiz0xs
for SL/SL
Suppression caps out at 2/5 for PvP. Anything extra in that talent is waste.
In your UA build, this would free up three points for Improved Life Tap and 1/5 Shadow Embrace.
SL/SL is about survival, not doing damage. Demonic Resilience is more important to you than Demonic Knowledge. Empowered Corruption and Improved CoA are less important than Curse of Exhaustion, 1/5 Shadow Embrace, and Improved Life Tap.
Which is better in arena? It depends on your bracket and your teammates.

You're level 58. You'll be going into Outland soon. You'll be getting massive upgrades on several pieces of gear in short order. Granted, I'd search the AH for upgrades on your bracers, belt, and rings... but I'd have done that ages ago. The first two are ancient, and the rings just make no sense for you.
If you haven't already done them, do the Western Plaguelands quests involving the cauldrons (pick them up at the Bulwark). There's a brief lore chain at each of the first three farms that you can acquire from inside the buildings (watch for the ! on your minimap), one of which leads to a nice stamina ring.
Actually, I'd probably do all the Plaguelands stuff if I were you, as its your first toon. It's some of the most interesting lore in the game.
No, your avatar isn't working.
If you go deep affliction, you'll want destro for your secondary talents. 11 points in destro is huge for instance running, while demo is only valuable if you stay at the first tier talents or go deep.

Leveling in demonology before you get your felguard is slower than leveling as affliction. Here is a thread that explains early leveling in detail:
http://www.wowhead.com/?forums&topic=14370&p=160567
If you insist on leveling in demonology you'll have to use the voidwalker, as you lack the talents needed to be able to cast effectively while something is attacking you.
Once you get your felguard, the trees are fine with the single exception being that you need 1-2 points in Mana Feed to keep your pet choping away.

You'd have three choices that seem reasonable to me.
from Improved Life Tap
from Demonic Resilience
from Demonic Knowledge

Are you doing strictly BGs right now? If so:
Suppression hits the hit cap against other players at 2/5
Grim Reach is a very useful PvP talent
Improved Drain Soul isn't a PvP talent
On your SL/SL build:
5/5 Fel Concentration is MANDATORY. You can't afford to have pushback on that spell
3/3 Demonic Resilience is MANDATORY. The point of the build is survival, not damage dealing
I'd tend toward an affliction build over SL/SL in BGs. Being able to do damage is more important in the chaos.
