Woho, wait, 40 bucks? For a damn livestream? That's a ripoff, in all due respect. I can watch all important events on
really
big and important conventions like the E³ live and for free, but I have to pay
40
bucks to watch lousy BlizzCon? Whoever pays this has lost his marbles, sorry. Blizzard is getting way to greedy and fond of themselves.
I could understand something like 5$, though I would still object it. But 40$ is just way over the top. Livestreams are by no means expensive, they are easily funded with some adds. And even without adds, I'm sure Blizzard wouldn't go bankrupt (or even lose much income) by offering the stream for free.
Its that, or pay for the plane tickets, food and drink, transportation, and the convention tickets themselves...

so? if you want to watch it you can who cares if you think its a ripoff, I would say the same thing about paying mroe for certain channels on tv. I would of bought the livestream (mainly for the pretty pet :P) but I was low on funds >.>. Oh well, guess I will end up spending a few dollars on ebay for it now :)

I didn't receive any information yet, but my login worked - although I havn't gotten it written down anyplace, or gotten an e-mail actually saying what the details were.
The login-system is at least working, although it only says this instead of the login-box:
Welcome Emil Hansen
You have successfully registered for the event
logout
All in all, it's probably changing very soon. At least before 6h14 min has passed, because that's when the stream starts, according to the site. :P

The thing is... DIRECTV is setting the price here, not Blizzard. I doubt they're going to see a ton of money from livestream people. Take a look at DIRECTV's prices - boxing ranges anywhere from $45-$55, wrestling is $40-$50. I see some porn for $6.99 if that's any consolation. $40 for two days of Blizzcon is pretty cheap by their standards. Still a bit too rich for me, but don't go blaming Blizzard for this particular pricing scheme.
