A few things i need help with:
1) The health deficit number - Is there anyway to make that a % of total health remaing rather then a delta?
2) The black portion of the bar that represents health deficit as well... where is the option to change its color? Not sure I like the black.
3) Is it possible to show Lifebloom duration in one of the corners as a number rather than a small box?

Isn't the bar that represents health a percentage indicator of health? Seems redundant.

There is no bar representing the deficit -- you're seeing the background of the base frame. I believe you can change this color.

Nope. The center is the only place you can display text in the current incarnation of Grid. Not sure if Grid2 has any plans to allow text in corners. There are several plugins for Grid that will allow you to use center text or text2 as a time remaining indicator for a variety of hots.
and no... not redundant when sometimes the 'deficit bar' is covered up by hot icons a number in the middle would be nice. But... whether its redundant or not isnt the issue... its either out there or not =)
GridStatusCornerText
background is set to 100% opacity, so thats incorrect.

Increase the size of the individual unit frames so the icon in the center doesn't obscure your vision. Personal preference I guess. I appreciate the conciseness that Grid offers in its display while still being informative, and my opinion is that providing a redundant piece of information is kind of silly. Your "solution" is one step further in that its a net loss of information (in that you lose absolute deficits).

Right. Its opaque. The opposite of transparent. That's why you're seeing it. Change its color.
GridStatusCornerText
neat.
you sir are being so much help its ridiculous. If i knew what the crap i was doing, I wouldnt be here asking for help. So give some real noncondecending help, or please dont try. and i could care less about 'an overall net loss of information' I didnt ask if iwould lose 1kb 500kb or 2 gigs of info. I just asked if it could be done and if so how. I dont need your opinion on how you think its not needed.
Anyways... changing the color does nothing...
its not the frame background
. /facepalm

2. It just takes whatever the colour is set to and lowers the brightness; I've gone through all the settings and can't find a way to change it.
thats still not correct. Youre thinking of the 'incoming heals' thats not what we're looking at. Link of grid as 5 layers:
top layer: Name and indicators
2nd layer: The health bar
3rd layer: Incoming Heals
4th layer: The layer im looking at changing
5th layer: The overall Frame background

This
is the video I watched when I was learning how to configure grid. I don't remember whether or not it shows how to change the background color, didn't feel like watching it again. I know there is at least a way to set it so that the background color is displayed as class color and whatnot though.
Give it a watch, if it helps then yay. If not, I'm sorry. I stopped using grid when I switched to pitbull raid frames.
