Disenchanting in heroics!

I quit! I'm tired of letting people roll on my disenchant mats that I get from greeding on rolls. Even if the 5-man pug agrees to let the enchanter greed for DE, they did ZERO work to level the profession. DE'ing epics is a perk and necessary to provide enchants. Why do we enchanters put up with others forcing rolls on our hard-earned shards?
I for one am done. If I win something on greed, I'm deing it, and keeping it. You (they) did not spend hours and countless gold leveling the most difficult profession and therefore should no longer profit from my (our) work. It's like telling an alchemist that you keep procs for a 10g tip. Yeah, right.
Just thought I'd let the other enchanters out there know they don't have to be walked all over by pugs in heroics. I inform my team that this is my intent at the start, and have had zero problems so far. I expected to meet more resistance to this movement than I initially expected. It seems people deep down in their hearts know that they were wrong to force rolls on disenchanted gear.
You don't:
1) Ask a miner to roll on ore/gems that drop from veins in an instance
2) Ask an engineer to roll on engy mats that drop from mobs
3) Ask an herbalist to roll on herbs that he picks in an instance
So why are people forcing rolls on DE'd gear? They aren't doing you a FAVOR by LETTING you disenchant said item. If it goes to greed, no one wants it. Therefore, if it's unwanted gear, and it can be disenchanted, it should be DEFAULTED to the 'chanter or to greed rolls by those who want/care fore the pittance of gold.

Or, you can all Greed on the items that drop. Then, you can do what you want with them, i.e. sell them, DE them, destroy them.

The problem is, occasionally, someone greeds with everyone else and immediately DEs (not waiting until they leave the instance) and everyone gets &*!@y and demands a roll.
I'm not sure if this is what the OP was referring to, but I've seen it happen quite often.
The thing is, most people cant be bothered to greed and sell blue items, they'll just let them rot on corpses (that I've seen). But should you try to scavenge those 'trashed' drops and DE, they get upset.
Either they want the drops, or they don't. If they do, you roll, it's easy- if they don't, they can't get upset because you made 20g off of it.

Stingy bastard.... I seriously hope you arent talking about the blues that drop off the bosses that you are QQing about
Every single heroic i run, i do greed all the blues because well yes, i am an enchanter and turn them into shards... in no way to i expect to keep every single shard or the abyss that drops in the end because well... it was a joint effort to kill that boss so everyone deserves a chance to get the shard from that boss! At the end of the instance, there is normally 1 crystal and 4 shards.... enough for everyone to get atleast something...

Vindeta:
Everyone deserves to get the loot from the boss. Only you deserve to get the shards.
If you want to share them, that is fine, but no one else deserves shards from loot. The deserve the 5g they will get from selling it.

so what your saying is, cuz your a DE if your group lets you DE the unwanted stuff you shouldn't share it?
if you dont wanna share the shards dont say you'll DE them, or that your a DE period.
all i see is that your mad cuz you have to share the mats, and you only get every mat cuz they let you greed and only you.
im pretty sure that if you dont state that you DE everyone in the pug would greed roll for it.
and like vindeta said its a group effort. so either find a pug that will let you keep everything or just greed for everything and DE what you get.
and hard earned shardes?... hard earned skill level yes.
If they let you roll on it to DE= not work, in fact rolling on them and wining them is just luck= not work.

Well, considering you can now trade "would-be" soulbound items, there really is no pressing reason, other than convenience, for the enchanter to d/e the items. If they want to d/e then great, otherwise, simply find a guildy or other friend to d/e the items.

Another day of running heroics. Another day of no QQ from me telling people I'm keeping shards if I win greed rolls. Very few people have greeded for the pittance of 5g vendor. (The few times they do when weapons drop, as those are like 12g). Made 13 abyss crystals yesterday.
I think it's time to change the perpsective that the general public gets to roll on the enchanter's hard work.

If you greed against other people in your group and win, loot is yours to keep. DE it, vendor it, delete it, do whatever you want. I'd recommend waiting until the instance is over to DE your winnings. It is not a requirement, but it helps avoid arguments with the rest of your group. It's plain confusing when nobody owns up to being an enchanter and then people see shards being looted - "So we do have an enchanter after all, awesome! Let's roll."
If loot is being passed to you for DE, then you owe your group a roll on shards. Common system is "need if you need, pass if you don't; enchanter always greeds for DE." This is different from winning a greed roll. Don't like it, don't offer to DE and take your chances against four other people.
And yes, my main is a 450 enchanter.
Edit: Spelling. Need more caffeine...

I completely disagree chizhik. Listen, there are 3 possible rolls on loot
*Need - Hey, I need that item
*Greed - Hey, if no one else wants it, i'll take it
*Pass - I don't care about it
If people are so willing to pass unwanted (passed?) items to the enchanter for DE, they are therefore passing on them. Plain and simple. You need to change your mentality when it comes to doing favors for others. Enchanters have pretty much been made everyone elses %^&*! as far as professions go. Stand up against the horde of greedy #$%^&s after your crystals.
