Yes we are; I don't have the same stance you do on abortion and I know people who went to Planned Parenthood and they helped them not get pregnant in the first place. So stalemate.
What does your example have to do with abortion?
That not everyone who uses Planned Parenthood gets an abortion?
No one said they did.
I said that Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in the US. It doesn't matter to me what else they did. If they provide abortions, then I find them intolerable. Even if they only provided one abortion, but everything else they did was terrific, I would be against them.

So then you should be able to understand why people are against both Chik-A-Fil and Focus on Family.

Yeah, of course.

They may do some good, but that good is only for those who believe as they do; seems like anyone with a different view can go hang themselves.
Not supporting gay marriage is equal to telling someone to go hang themselves now?
As discussed earlier, roughly 50% of Americans do not support gay marriage. So, it would be reasonable to assume that roughly 50% of all businesses in America have the exact same view as Chick-Fil-A, they just were not interviewed and asked the question.
So why boycott Chick-Fil-A? Just because they actually were given an opportunity to express their view, and did? Are they worse than other businesses that feel the same way, but just haven't been put on record?

I'm worried about the potential risk politicians pose to the internet. I'm looking forward to it advancing beyond their control.

Told you they'd start threatening her.
Told me? If you did it went over my head. I wasn't aware of who these people were until I stumbled across the article. I'll never understand people's obsession with fame, among other things I'll never understand about the majority of people around me.

I must've glazed over because I'm not aware of who these people are. Most conversations in RB go right over my head, I'm happy to say.

Like 77% of people think
abortion
should be legal under some circumstances.
But, if a place of business only has 3% of the population's support, and the ohter 97% is adamantly against it, that doesn't mean it should be uprooted by the government.
I think democracy should extend to economic matters.

So you think that there are no personal rights that shouldn't be up for a popular vote? Like if 80% of the population in a given area wanted to remove all Mosques, or burn all political books in a library, or prevent people from selling "green" products in there city limits, they should just go with the majority?
EDIT: Or, if you live in a town that has a predominantly capitalist attitude, and many people know you dislike capitalism, should the government be allowed to prevent you from finding employment or opening a business because people don't like you?

I'd rather see the bets on when all members of PETA finally end up eaten by lions myself. Seriously, if there is a more useless group of jackasses and morons, I've yet to see it.....

So this post actually made me have to do some thinking. And, IMHO, you have a point.
When MyTie said:
On the other hand, McDonalds gives money to Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the US. I'll never eat another McNugget in my life.
I, in principle, agreed with him. The concept is the same, if you don't agree with a company's policies or beliefs, then by all means, vote with your wallet and don't do business with them.
But, as we both pointed out, gays would have to boycott 50% of all businesses, and pro-life advocates would have to avoid 77% of them.
I guess the difference is, I will continue to focus my efforts against the actual abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, rather than divert my attention by worring about McDonalds. I would suggest that the gay rights activists protest Focus on the Family, and not be so concerned about Chick-Fil-A, unless you are committed enough to run a background check on every place you do business with, and are willing to avoid the other possible 50% of businesses that do not agree with you.
