The fact that I play a ret paladin and feral druid(2 classes hardest to snare) and am complaining about DK snares should tell you something.
Oh wait, you're narrow minded and don't think for yourself, nevermind.
So ur playing some of the best melee classes in the game and ur %^&*!ing about something u cant beat wow QQ me a river and go bubble
actually feral isnt "the best"...how many ferals do u see at high rating? we have what 4 on our server light? (one being light) cause its a class that takes skill over button mashing such as ret and dk. and yes he knows his ret pally is op. the only thing holding him down atm is his healer. thats not what hes saying. go back to the beginning of the forum. this is about how spammable dk's defensive cds are..
and again like i said ealier..dont post anything bout how dk's are fine or not op unless u have a dk near 2ks. (and even then i dont hold much stock in it if u do) and even if u go ahead and do...PLEASE have some kinda argument. not "ur class is op. you need to stop qq'ing. u need to l2 to pvp or personally attacking us. like some guy said ealier...he has a high rated dk alt and thinks they are super op..i played 2s last season and the middle of this season with a dk..and i think they are op. ill point to the fact again me and shiftwerx(lightrain) are 2k players playing an non cookie cutter comp. ...and i know light touched on it..but wut bilnynazispy said makes me laugh..and already not going to take u serious no matter what else u say..miss the part i said i was prot? that means i dont have holy shock..and yes i have aura mastery. and yes i use it..but it has a cd? so does my bubble. and u really dont understand what everyone is saying. see the part im 2k?i dont think im like holy cow amazing best pally in the world and i need to keep improving. but i know what im talking bout and i know how to play lil better than you. i didnt get up high brackets not knowing wut aura mastery or sacred shield was. and ive been an higher rated holy pally since starting in s3. so thanks and gig em:D

Death Knights
are
overpowered. This is an inescapable fact that Blizzard was aiming for when they first had the brain fart to make a hero class. Hero classes are supposed to be overpowered, but that doesn't mean a death knight can't look at himself and say, "gee, I was given very powerful tools in pretty much every specialty area. This must be the definition of overpowered."
Seriously, can't you stop your arrogance, theory crafting, and nerfbat fear for one second to just take an honest look at the death knight class?
P.S. before you try to discredit me by attacking my character: No, I do not have a level 80 DK. I do, however, have a ^&*!ing brain, which I tend to use, and the truth is so glaringly obvious to me, it's amazing that some people still say DKs are not overpowered.
/cheer. someone with a brain:D but one thing..bliz did say a hero class isnt suppose to be better than other classes..but the fact remains they are and have a tool for pretty much everything. not disagreeing with u though just saying

The "suppose" definition by Blizzard:
Accurately describes the way a determined spell, class or mechanic is meant to be created. Wether it works or not in practical game is beyond the realms of such word, and things are perfectly fine the way they're prospected; possible fixes may happen, but most is already done. Working as intended.

Completely off topic, but I never noticed that ability of paladins before. Handy to know when I charge them with arcane torrent on my priest.

and with scourge strikes amazingly low crit chance, the fact that nobody but destro locks, ele shams, and subltey rogues should hit 10ks in arena still makes it pretty unbeleiveable that a DK can pull out 2.8k dps (if you didnt heal... at all) in full pvp gear on a prot pally >_>
LOL LOL LOL LOL EVERYTIME you say something u make ur self sound like a retard. like light said. it doesnt make u immune to stuns. and if a holy pally is using holy light in arena(as prot its even worse) he fails. my fol's heal for 6k non crit 9-10kcrit(happens a lot) while a non crit holy light heals 11k and double cast time yes a crit holy light hits for like 26k..but i have low holy light crit chance. i have fol glyp and sacred shield which up the fol crit..a holy light cast time yells "INTERRUPT ME! IM A NEWB" yes u can use holy light sometimes(rarely). but if ur ever being hit on by anything u shouldnt or any chance ull be cc'd.
and about the damage..yeah dks dont nail u with %^&* ton of damage in one hit. u still are missing the point dude. if a dk was hitting on me with no stuns or interrupts i seriously doubt id die unless i got up and went to the door. its the dk's controls and cd's that this WHOLE THREAD IS OVER. and dude aura mastery doesnt last long..and has a cd...these interrupts dks have arent really cds..6 sec silence every 10? aura master is 10 seconds every 2 mins.. ghoul stun what every 30secs?
strang every 2 mins(this is wut have to use aura mastery on) but yeah dude..like light said dks damage is not the problem(they still do way too much though). its the amount of interrupt and control they have while doing that damage. every dps class "does too much damage" while geared..im not singling out dks cause of their burst..its their control and cd's. and if u dont think a dk can hit hard...u havent been hit on one in full furious. ...its whole different ball game at higher ratings than what ur 1ks? people still in quest gear that low?
and please dude really say something else so we can make fun of u. please. u're really showing me how newbish of a player you are.

its a 3 second stun that has a 20 second CD and suffers from DR... paladins get a 6 second stun, that talented (which DK ghoul stun is) has a 20 second CD, i dont see you QQing about them.
Come on, you need to be deep prot to have a 20sec cd on it. Usually 60sec, sometimes retri's talent it 40sec.

so i was doing twos on my druid today.
feral/priest.
we fought a dk/priest team at 1650~. their match ranking was almost 1700.
the priest has furious shoulders/helm couple deadly one hate.
the dk..wait for this...
has 3 epics.
thats right THREE epics
the axe from HeroHoL, pve bracers and hateful pants.(59 total res)
quest blues. green trinkets. green rings.
not only does he do enough damage and control on me trying to chase the priest that i have to go bear and get off priest he got me low more than once.
he goes into frost presence and my priest chases the furious priest for burns etc. we get him low and he spends the last half of the match attempting to drink etc.
all the while the dk does everything "right" and stays up. coi spam, ghoul stun/mind freeze casts such as cyclone, strangs my priest forces me bear.
any time hes low he can keep me at bay just long enough with coi and pet stun so his priest can get him back up
we end up winning. but winning because priest was oom(mine would of been too if we didnt have innervate)
and yes i know im not the best feral druid still learning how to be good at it..but i have no problem bringing down decently geared people. hell me and my partner ended the night beating a geared war with pally with furious weapon.
my point in this is.
a dk in @#$%ty fresh lvl 80 gear is in arena with a good partner and doing half "decent" no other dps class with gear like that could hope to win as many games as they did tonight...just armoried him again. 1417 rating. they started tonight under 900. and as i sated above were just bout 1700 match ranking when we played them.
even though we were in control of the majority of the fight..the fact he did enough control to me, forced me bear more than once, lasted as long with #$%^ty gear and a good healer without a doubt proves to me how op this class is.
btw the match lasted 4 mins. thats really long for any arena match now.
and the dks that keep posting and *!@#$ing have much better gear than this guy..you should whisper him and ask him how to play.

- CoI needs to be a SLOW, not a snare. Slower than 50% in any way, shape or form is OP for a melee dps, especially when you can cast it every 5 seconds and keep anyone under 50% speed. If they want to keep it the same, the cost needs to be increased to 2 Frost runes. Maybe a slow with it's current cost, glyphed to what it is now with the cost increased to 2 runes.
its being fixed in 3.2, its not going to be a 100% snare anymore.

This. Also remember, ret's stun is on our GCD, so eventhough it's a 6 second stun, it's really a 4.5 second span to kill a healer. You have 3 GCD's to get the job done, and wasted 1.5 seconds to stun the target. DK's get an off GCD stun that's 3 seconds, which gives them 2 GCD's to get the job done.
Oh wait, then can do it twice as often, since it's a 20 second CD, while ret's is a 40 second CD.
Pet stun>Ret Stun. I won't even get into the fact that ret stun is dispellable, groundable, and all that good stuff. The only advantage ret stun has over ANY other stun is that it's not avoidable assuming you are capped on hit, and some racials and talents will still make it miss sometimes.

I agree with that. Put it on a 15-20 second CD and it wouldn't be so stupid. The reason it's so retarded is because they are melee. It keeps players from having any chance of kiting them, while they can kite when they want without any setup other than a possible couple seconds during rune refreshes.

4)again, being changed in 3.2 no damage increase, just a snare about 10 yards in diameter, hop out of it.
5)are you kidding? a dispellable 15 second lasting disease that has to be refreshed by using an unholy or a frost rune, i dont see you QQing about rogues getting a 50% chance to apply a poison, wihtout using energy.
6)This game is not balanced around lower brackets, and at 80, they are not OP. they have no MS, good CC or reliable stun. stop QQing.
1) Contradiction is different tha stating all the facts. I wanted to keep the obvious response out of the thread because it's still a very stupid problem that is completely biased and unfair to all other classes.
2) I LoL'd. Pass.
3) LoL again. Pass since it's already been stated, and I stated it in the post above this.
4) As I said, it's not the damage(while the damage is retarded...). It's the fact that it's only removable by ONE class, for a short period of time. Why do DK's need an aoe slow? They are melee, with a 20 yard spammable snare/slow and a 30 yard fishing pole. It's overkill. Period.
5) This isn't about rogues. Rogues are at least squishy. While deadly brew is rather annoying, at least you can actually kill a rogue during burst.
6) I mentioned that as a statement of a fact. The mechanics make fighting any class retarded if they have a DK buddy(probably close to 1/3 of the population now) to help him with snares and burst. The problem stated here is the fact that any pants on head child can make a DK and annoy everyone in the 59-80 brackets in a really short amount of time.
The

that they are overpowered
and
are boarderline as or more annoying than a rogue while being able to survive longer than a rogue with minimal gear just adds to the pot. They should have been made so you have to level them from 1. Otherwise, don't give them every tool possible along with new tools.
Hero class doesn't mean "give it everything." Hero class means you get to take a short cut to level one to 80.
