I was browsing the ElitistJerks Warlock forum and thought I'd share what they've done with simulationcraft (a program that simulates damage on a boss fight in a more accurate way than recount and a training dummy) and the current highest damage specs for a Warlock.
The original thread is found
here
.
The image of all the comparisons is
here
.
The order is:
Pre-ulduar T7 gear
:
B,C,A
Ulduar T8 gear:
A,B,C
Without the Doomguard, Affliction slips to 4th place with Ulduar gear, and 5th place with pre-Ulduar gear (it drops behind a Demonology/Destruction hybrid spec of 00/41/30)
#A
- Destruction
- 7931 DPS with Ulduar gear
- 6891 DPS with pre-Ulduar gear
Talents:
00/13/58
Flasks/Buffs/Pet: Frost Wyrm, Tender Shoveltusk Steak, Fire stone, Fel armor, Imp
Spell order : Curse of doom, immolate, conflagrate, chaos bolt, incinerate, life tap
Glyphs: Conflagrate, Incinerate, Immolate
#B
- Affliction
- 7923 DPS with Ulduar gear
- 7009 DPS with pre-Ulduar gear
Talents:
53/00/18
Flasks/Buffs/Pet: Frost Wyrm, Tender Shoveltusk Steak, Spell stone, Fel armor,
**Doomguard**
Spell order : haunt, corruption, curse of agony, unstable affliction, haunt, shadow bolt, life tap. Drain soul at 25%
Glyphs: Haunt, Curse of Agony, Lifetap
#C
- Destruction with a different glyph
- 7868 DPS with Ulduar gear
- 6897 DPS with pre-Ulduar gear
Talents:
03/15/55
Flasks/Buffs/Pet: Frost Wyrm, Tender Shoveltusk Steak, Fire stone, Fel armor, Imp
Spell order : life_tap, curse of doom, immolate, conflagrate, chaos bolt, incinerate, life tap
Glyphs: Conflagrate, Incinerate, Lifetap
Sorry for linking MMO champion, I couldn't find how to do it on Wowhead.
The lowest damage spec was 7089 DPS and was demonology with 00/56/15.

The affliction numbers you linked are off, as if you go back to the original thread you will see DG beside the numbers. That's a doomguard, and as we all know isn't usable very often. Hence Destro>all :(
Thanks for pointing that out (I'll update it), without it Affliction is relegated to 4th or pre-ulduar gear, 5th.

rotation:
immo > curse > conflag > CB > incinerate spam
use cooldowns as soon as you can after they're available (get a good timer for this) and don't let immo drop.
the bosses aren't immune to conflag they're immune to the aftermath stun effect that goes with it so don't worry about those immunes you're seeing.

a little knowledge is a dangerous thing and to take the figures from EJ's simcraft thread without the context is just going to lead to inaccuracies.
i know you're trying to do a good thing here but, really, all the info is in the EJ post itself and laying it out like this only leads to people thinking "OMG! i just got an ulduar drop. i need to go destro!"
also, as others have said, the affliction sim that does well is WITH a doomguard and aff does considerably differently without.
...also, just noticed, your "#C" build isn't just "with a different glyph" - if that's what you think the important difference is between that and the other destro sim then you definitely shouldn't be posting stuff like this.
edit: a perfect example of what i'm saying. snazzyy (above) has seen these numbers and wondered why he can't hit them. numbers out of context are just numbers and become considerably less useful.

#1 skip it then. if you've got somewhere you want to put the point, go for it.
#2 healers really don't mind as long as you're sensible. using the glyph pushes players towards the better way of playing where you life tap little and often. every 20 seconds instead of not at all for two minutes then LT six times to refill your bar. if you're doing that then healers will have an issue.

Guys if you're going to incorporate a life tap into your spell rotation use the lowest rank - you get the same benefits of spirit increase but will stress the healers out much less lol.
and that got anything with this post to do+ like we not know already?
and if you stress you healer with Life tap, kick the healer for a new one because then he need training or you life tap to much (don't life tap to death is not needed when aoe or stuff in the air that do damage and die)
back to topic:
Desto > all
except in movement fight's then affliction can go over Desto
and Demonology is not that bad DPS....when you think what it boost for every other spell caster in SP, but the felguard can die...and when he do you lose DPS fast if you not get Fel Dom up
