So you're tired of the fact that you can't be one of the elitist few to see the end game content?
Why is it anytime someone was successful at completing Vanilla content they're automatically deemed elitist?
If not, try everything in WotLK before you go doing something that makes you look like an elitist pig trying to relive his glory days.Maybe he wishes to make his way through all tiers in the order they were released. Go do everything in Vanilla and TBC before you go making posts that make you look like a casualist pig trying to make himself feel big.
Anyway, wish I could do MC at 60 again, but I suspect a Novemberish release on 3.2 and Aion will be out by then so I will be long gone :)

Kinda a pointless but fun endeavor. :P
Uhh... that is every in WoW. I just finished doing a naxx 10 last night (which is god damn trivial these days, lol) and ran most of ulduar 10, and I know for a fact that the gear I got is entirely pointless since I could buy it or things better with badges in a month or two.

so what are you gona do if shaman/paladin* gear drops? pretend its not there? you cant loot it or disenchant it if it drops cause it shouldnt be dropping for you right?
* (shaman if your alliance and paladin if your horde)
I seem to remember this happening in Vanilla.
The only loot related thing more annoying was Nef dropping Nemesis/Stormrage chestpieces.
Over and over.

You DO realize that all the changes to the talent trees make it completely impossible to do that, right?
And there is also the fact that in those days, each class HAD to be a specific spec. So unless you plan to make only Warriors tank and not DPS, Paladins Heal and not DPS or tank, not allow Shamans to come ((Ally side)) or Paladins to come ((Horde side)), Priests can only heal, Mages MUST be Frost...you get the idea... You will still not be able to recreate what it was like to raid Vanilla content in the beginning. And BWL would probably kill your raid just as it did almost all raids. Also, you will never be able to run the old 40-man Naxx.
Why waste that time and effort, tick off that many people, when you can level to 80 and solo Ony, 2-man MC, 4-5-man BWL and take maybe 10 to AQ40?
Do YOU know 40 other people willing to put up with the strictest of raiding conditions that have ever existed in the game and destroyed more friendships and guilds than there are people playing WoW at this moment?
Ohh, that stings...
but sadly, it's true.
Playing old Vanilla WoW content would be fun but I have always "missed the bus" as far as endgame content. I started WoW shortly before BC came out, and hit 60 shortly after it came out. Aside from being an altaholic, I took a few big breaks, and ended up hitting 70 right after WotLK came out. I'm well on my way to hitting 80 pretty soon...so while I think Old World content would be fun, personally, I want to make it to the current endgame content first.

Yay for rose colored glasses. I for one would rather experience new content.
For some, lvl 60 content would be new.
And for pure recreation, thats not the point, its to experience the content and still have it be challenging
enough
. Talent changes do not make that impossible at all, it will be different however.

No, I've already done it, and you can NEVER bring back vanilla WoW unless there is a server for it. No more world PvP in hillsbrad, EPL etc. Vanilla was great, as much as anyone tries to bring it back, it won't truly be back. Once you guys come across an 80 you WILL get owned. All of you WILL get owned, and that is NOT fun at all. Once you do the 60 raids it will get boring and you will level up, face it, vanilla is gone unless blizzard opens up a vanilla server

You're an elitist who just now completed Naxx 10.
Amazing.

At all those trolls/flamers in this post; who the hell are you to tell anyone how they should play? It's their $15 a month, they'll play how they want and you have no say in it. Just because your OPINION is that it's stupid or pointless etc etc, doesn't make it so. I know I plan on doing this (though I doubt I'll be anywhere near as strict with the rules) but that doesn't change the fact that people still do like old world and BC content. Get over yourselves and play your own damn game without having to antagonize everyone about their choices that they can freely make with or without your opinion.

hmm im very tempted to make a char on your server and join as i would like to do that only issue i see is money as unless you have a 80 char you cant really make any money with the pre bc stuff.

No thanks, I played it at level 60 and it was awful then and it's only going to be slightly less awful in the future, thanks to slightly better tuned gear and talents.
I get my fun thundering through it with small groups of friends, hoping for various vanity items to drop and getting the rep I miss the on the character I rolled in the middle of TBC.
