Laihendi, you claim that being gay is uncontrollable by you and it is all determined by chemicals in your brain. This would suggest that physically, people are supposed to be gay.
It doesn't mean they're supposed to be gay, it means they are gay. Since you based your entire argument on that mistake, it makes the rest pretty much... wrong.
Uh. Why does your brain make you want men? What possible benefit is there? Obvious man on women desire produces offspring. So man on man... what does that produce?

Your brain doesn't make you want women because it knows there's a benefit in it.

There are numerous peer reviewed studies suggesting biological explanations for homosexuality, both genetic and environmental. Let's please not spit in the face of science and accept at least the possibility that it's not a choice.
I love this arguement. Can I try?
Ahem...
Lots of science says I'm right. If you disagree with me, your disagreeing with science. Are you too closed minded to see science? I'll get you references later.... just... it's science... ok... science... it says I'm right.

All I'm asking for is for people to accept the possibility. /rollseyes
Anything is possible. If you're actually right? /rollseyes

And all you say is "I'm right. I'm not basing my argument on anything at all, but at least that's better than basing it on science!".

Not anything is possible, a four sided triangle is logically impossible.
On the contrary. A four sided triangle is possible if parts of the universe do not follow the same laws of physics. Eienstien theorized this. I would say that a 4 sided triangle is possible, if not probable. This has more to do with the 4th dimention. More possible mathmatically than the possibility of a homosexual gene.

That may be, but there is one thing that shall never be possible, no matter where in the universe you are:
Coyote will never catch Roadrunner.

I think there was an implicit assumption there that we are using the ordinary 3d Cartesian coordinate space, rather than the theoretical 4d space postulated by Einstein. A triangle is defined by the system it exists in, and not taking that into account was a poor judgement.
You people arguing over who's gay and who's not and why they're that way missed out on the question. The answer to the question posed in the OP is a resounding "no", which is why each person is protected by the his or her State or Federal Constitution, quite specifically in the 14th Amendment, Section 1.
That said, democracy isn't fair, and neither is republicanism. Sometimes the people screw up, and so it takes a bit of wonkery to fix that. From what I can tell, the States are working to do so.

Why people even get to have a say of whether people do or do not have rights is just dumb.
Just give everyone the same rights, regardless of demographic group or sexual orientation and such.

I've heard that law is a process of balancing between the rights of a minority and the safety and privilege of the majority.
I think that is applicable in this case.

Happiness. The world if overpopulated as is, there is no need for mass reproduction right now. Logically speaking the human race is no longer fighting for a foothold to see if we will survive, we have advanced to the point now that our goals are to be happy for the most part, so why couldnt it be logical to be gay? Maybe its evolutions way of population control.
There is evidence that there were ancient Egyptians of the 25th and 24th centuries BC who were homosexual.
