I've never played vanilla so it might be interesting. Though...I'm not sure if it is a perfect idea.Anyway, oldschool hardcore players might be very pleased by this news haha :D (hope they are happy about it!)
Can't wait! Hope we'll get more information soon :)
Saurfang was in the movie, playing a central part.
I know it’ll be done when it’s done...I can’t wait for it to be done.
I was never big on legacy servers. I just feel new WoW could benefit from some of the immersion factors now missing that vanilla wow had lots of.
Well, this is the least interesting part of the future of the WoW :P
More than likely World of Warcraft: Classic will be a new Game Client on the Blizzard Bnet Launcher. Just like they did for Starcraft Remastered. That way it has it's own updates/engine with like 6 to 12 servers. I am really happy to see them bringing back all these classic games to the launcher. Would be fun if they add TBC in a year or so after the launch of Classic then maybe WotLK after that year. Could just do a drop down menu on the launcher for the 3 (V, TBC, WotLK) like they do for Live and PTR. This is also Blizzard trying to keep the Trademark of WoW. They have to actively go after classic servers that keep popping up to their Trademark intack. Giving this option of play will decrease the use of private servers. People want a safe & official place to play, where their characters will be safe from shutdowns and deletion. Hope they release WoW: Classic way after BoA cause it's gonna be rough playing both.
Hopefully its something completely out of current characters and can be used as a side thing and doesnt begin to divide the community. Also, hopefully its ONLY Classic, no expansions released on it.
I will admit, after getting to use a flying mount on Azeroth, going back to ground mounts only is going to feel painfully slow...
Best WoW News sind years. :)
Will be interesting to see how it pans out.
The idea of possibly getting legacy items for transmog, or old unobtainable mounts seems like an attractive proposition. Aside from that though, as someone who came from late vanilla, I'm not eager to grind out the old days all over again. =/
I hope it shares the same subscription as the current WoW, or atleast make it a buy once. Just don't want to pay sub for 2 different WoWs.
This should be fun
Might give it a chance :p Lets hope that blizzard will make their best.
I am soooooo excited for this! Didn't start playing til Cata, and I have always wanted to explore the Old World.
i doubt it
I hope that people aren't looking at Vanilla through "rose-tinted glasses", but I suspect that's the case. I remember playing in Vanilla and it was fun for a while, but I got tired of the massive grind to accomplish simple things and the general lack of polish, so I quit and came back once Wrath was out. I think Blizz will have a hard time delivering a "Blizzard-quality experience" while staying true to the original game.
