I think expecting a whole new class to appear in SoD, with It's own (brand new) 31 points talent trees is wishful thinking at best =/
This feels like they're beginning to put in the pieces to justify the retcons from Shadowlands. Yes, cosmic has always been in Warcraft. But the line in particular "need to be undying", hints at the Jailors plans. It's dumb, but not a whole lot you can do. Lore was inevitable going to change as the hands did. I just wish it could have been something better than blue nippled Thanos.
"cOsmIC stUfF haS aLwAys bEen pArT of WoW"Before WoD, cosmic stuff in WoW was handled like it was in Conan. Weird otherworldly things with origins in Lovecraft's mythos pop up all the time in Conan, but the barbarian swinging a sword never gets on a SPACESHIP, or works his way through the entire pantheon killing them all one by one. Don't bring spaceships into fantasy. Why would the Legion ever have bothered with infantry through portals when they could just use their spaceships going warpspeed to planets and laser the capital cities from orbit before anyone knew what was going on?
I have to wonder if this isn't going to play out that we as Paladins can play the Death Knight class as it was originally designed. You have to basically kill off your Paladin and be raised as a Death Knight. I personally do not care to delete my Paladin to become a Death Knight, but I am sure there are some would enjoy this. That or Blizzard is just sprinkling ideas of future expansions into Classic. The Tauren that gives you the totem for example as being a hinted at Sunwalker. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a new character or quest for Shaman that involved the Wildhammer Dwarves as they canonically have Shaman already.Still waiting for the day I can become a Broken Draenei. Don't care for squidfaces much, but their Broken form is one of my favorite character models.
