Just flew this entire zone, I have done all the quests, so things are "phased" into "finished" mode. There was not a single spawn of this flower. Not one. Going to make another run, but I doubt things will change. Not very many people are here in my "phasing".

2nd and 3rd pass, found 1 stack in total. So, they do exist, but now very very rare.

I have been through the highlands 3 times now and havent found a single node. I quested through and everything. Same thing with whiptail and uldam.

There's plenty of nodes in the area, phased completely (aka finished all quests in the zone) or not, it's just heavily farmed right now as Twilight Highlands is not only the only zone to acquire the herb from but it's also the requirement of a lot of current "high-demand" flasks such as Draconic Mind and Steelskin. If you're not finding any nodes at all, try back later or farm really early in the morning when no one is awake (which isn't much of an option for most of us obviously). I average maybe about 5-6 stacks an hour when there's very few other farmers in the zone.

I'm hopeful that in the next 2-3 weeks Blizzard will increase the spawn rate a bit more, once they feel the (general) economy burns through the millions that were farmed when the rate was extremely high.

Before the nerf to the amount of nodes spawned in Twilight Highlands I was able to farm up about 2500 of these and 200 Volatile Life within 3-4 hours. Makes me wish I didn't sell them for 1/10th of the price they're going for now.

Just went over there got me 3 Twilight Jasmine while covering the place 2x, sweet stuff.

Biggest fail atm is prob. when you find one and get near oeps gone, nice stuff phasing.

The are also very busy servers blizz!

I don't know how everyone missed this, but this herb awards more herb/node collected. 2-5 in comparison to normal 2-4.

Twilight Jasmine (Twilightus Jasminum) is a species of Jasmine common to Twilight Highlands.
It is an unimpressive plant with purple flowers. The plant requires a lot of open air and sunlight for a maximum growth. In fact it needs so much sunlight and open air that in its evolution process it discovered a way to grow out of open air in height higher than local canopy avoiding any soil altogether and thus eliminating the competition for sunlight from higher trees and receiving maximum air flow.

The plant also has a unique survival mechanism of rendering itself invisible just as someone approaches to gather it usually followed by a retreat to a high tree top. However few animals were able to adjust to this and have developed ways of helping them reach the plant. One of them that has become specialised in doing so is the Flying Tree-bear.

Blizzard has really gone overboard with the phasing, especially when it effects being able to pick herbs at 85. Quite frankly I wish they'd tone phasing down a lot through leveling zones. I am getting tired of getting up next to a herb only for it to disappear into a different phase.

For some reason, theres a node of this following me everywhere... literally. When i fly, it will fly next to me. It's creepy. Glitched herb? I wonder if other people can herb it off me, because my herbalism is too low to herb it.

I just experienced a strange bug - I cannot pick any of the Twilight Jasmines I see.
My hunter has a herbalism skill of 525, even though he is only lvl 80 (maxed out on Northrend plants to supply ink for my scribe, who had yet some Northrend Research to do when Cata came out), and he simply flew into the Twilight Highlands without doing any quest there or coming in by zeppelin from Orgrimmar.

He has seen quite a few Jasmines, has even received XP for picking them, but they did not show up in his bags, simply wouldn't come out of the earth, no matter how often I tried. (By contrast, I can pick Cinderbloom here, strangely enough.)

Has anyone experienced anything similar, or does anyone know a definite reason? Do I need to do the zeppelin quest or anything?

Edit: It definitely seems you need to have followed the quest taking you from Orgrimmar to the zone, because the same thing happened with Whiptails when I flew to Uldum to check things there. Again, Cinderbloom worked fine, but then again I have been picking Cinderbloom in Hyjal, and I did take the quest to get there.

(It would be interesting to know if a herbalist can pick Cinderblooms in Hyjal without having taken the quest from Stormwind or Orgrimmar.)

Edit 2: I am happy to report that it must have been a bug after all, because today my herbalist was able to pick Twilight Jasmines. I was flying over the Highlands, and when a Jasmine appeared on my minimap, I decided to give it another try. And lo and behold, today it worked!

The fact that unlike it's old Icethorn and Lichbloom counterparts, this herb cannot be reliably found along cliff edges and upon tree roots, and instead spawns similarly to Kingsblood (in that it appears in the middle of open areas) thus making farming the "walls" of terrain impossible, makes it a terribly hard herb to farm relative to most others. The terrain phasing furthermore restricts access to nodes between:

Bloodgulch and Firebeard's Patrol
Crushblow and Victor's Point

simple soloution to the phasing, quest to the end of the zone doesnt take that much time and it gives decent gold and rewards, also very good lore, and very good battles and scenes in this zone, so i would recomend all to just quest from start to end, sometimes you have to work for your herbs, luckly my server is filed with idiots and i have lots of nodes to my self

What is the deal with the twilight jasmine floating in the air at 47.1, 67.1 in Twilight Highlands? It is high up in the air and not possible to loot! Not cool!

Blizzard really, really needs to overlook the spawn points of not only this node, but most of the cataclysm herb nodes. I just flew around twilight highlands for about 90 minutes and came out with 1 stack... This is pathetic blizz... Heartblossom in Deepholm is the same story, fly around for hours and come out with only a couple of stacks. How are we meant to level proffessions without forking out thousands of gold?

Just for the info, the one in a tree branch can be gathered. If you look carefully there is a thicker branch that you can stand on and reach out for the herb.

20 mins of farming in vashj yielded me 10 stacks of azshara's veil and stormvine + 124 volatile life.

20 mins in Twilight highlands = 0.75 stack of twilight jasmine. It's more efficient and practical to farm other herbs, selling them to buy twilight jasmine.

i opened a ticket today, too. the twilight jasmine is the only herb that i have any trouble farming. it's impossible! meanwhile, every other high level herb is much more manageable.

i dont get it am i then so lucky? im lvl 75 maxed alchemy and herba im farming twilight highlands for herbs meanwhile unrested i get 5289 xp per herb i pick up......so i lvl up faster than anything i could do results are 2,5 stacks of twilight about the same in the fiery herb and bout 1 stack of volatile life in 30 mins and bout 175k xp now im grinding this till i max out my lvl ( i have not done 1cata quest )so must be server related i got no probs

Does anyone know which quests specifically to pass over to avoid any phasing issues?

I'm currently lvling an herbalist and would like to do the bare minimum to get friendly with the Wildhammer so that I can purchase a tabbard without screwing over my ability to farm the zone.

Just as a note to be recorded, as of 4.2.2 Twilight Jasmine are still not herbalist friendly and have not increased in spawn.

Does anyone else notice that the phasing of this zone drastically reduces spawn locations for this?

I have seen people mention they have farmed stacks of this leading up to GB but I have never seen a single one spawn up that road.

Other mention there are tons in the north, but I find one up there maybe every 10 minutes.

I find a couple victors point.

It's rather annoying.

I've been out in Twilight Highlands on and off all day. I was out at 1am, 4am, 2pm and now 7pm looking for Twilight Jasmine. I spent about a half hour circling the zone at a time, and I have never, ever, ever seen a single node of this herb. Just four Cinderbloom.

As of patch 4.3 i found this herb extremely hard to find in twilight highlands,I found about 6 of them in 30 minutes

i find this Easyest to farm this with a toon you never Quested with in that zone i find roughly about 6 stacks or more every 30mins i tried this with another toon who Completed the zone & it seems its more Rare wheen you'v done the zone . also note in other phases from a distant you can find nodes but when ya get near they can't be seen anymore this is a phasing issue i think as mining has this issue in other phased zones .

so be far warned its harder to find this if you'v got to the phasing part if ya never touched it just fly there & you'll find tons enless others are farming this route to as people are finding out its easyer to not do this zone for this herb. Faction Changing reset my Phasing so i fixed that XD.

thats another thing to be warned all your quest here reset when Changing faction.

I found a lot more nodes near Grim Batol. Maybe people start to give up on looking and never make it that far on the map. The further I went on the map the more I started to find. I found 8 nodes in 10 minutes once I went near Grim Batol

can some one explain the whole phasing thing. do i need to do EVERY quest in Twilight Highlands to fix it?

I didn't seem to have any of the trouble that a lot of people here are having. I managed to get:

Twilight Jasmine x112
Volatile Life x34
Lifegiving Seed x3

In ~half an hour, which was 2.50 - 3.20 server time. That's only having done 79 quests in the zone, according to my achievements. I followed the path that Thunderdrast posted before, so I recommend following it. I don't know how much that helps, but there you go :P
