In theory, if the effect stacked, you could bring up to and over 20 people with this to the same 25 man raid and achieve haste ratings of 6000+, which makes me think it will either be changed or won't stack.

Of course, there's a much larger difficulty in trying to get this to drop for over 20 people, but eventually it would be possible.

Ti'tahk is very close to Tick Tock, which essentially are the steps of time(the sound a clock makes.)

the proc from this staff could potentially put a well geared destro warlock above 49.9% (4951 rating) haste threshold for a third extra tick of immolate. pretty sure this and the heroic version of it are far better than any other weapon combination except a legendary.

Like the other weapons, it's a little boost to make further encounters easier, not necessarily a gamechanger. Very long time between procs as opposed to Maw of the Dragonlord, definitely suited more for DPS, but having a shammy with it in group + Kalecgos' buff made Ultraxion an interesting battle.

Honestly surprised there was only one Ke$ha reference on this page to make my brain hemorrhage.

Comparison with Visage of the Destroyer :

Ti'tahk gives 14 less intellect but 160 more spell power = 146 more spell power (a bit less with int modifier).

Assuming a 45 sec ICD the total proc is :

((1928 + 3 x 386) x 10 ) / 45 = 686 haste.

Visage of the Destroyer gives : 350 spirit + 246 mastery = 596 secondary stats.

It's a nice staff especially for warlocks and mages since there is no other staff available for them.

The proc seems a little random though, "up to 3 allies within 20 yards" means that it could be applied to tanks. Has anyone tested it ? Does it prioritize DPS/healers over tanks ?

Unfortunately, this staff really isn't plausible to use until you hit some caps. For Fire mages specifically:

17% hit
15% or 20% haste
Stack Crit

Since this staff provides no true "static" stats, Lightning Rod will be one of the BIS with 319 static haste and a red gem slot. Either way, still very cool, just requires you to make a sacrifice to use it.

The proc is 1928 haste according to the Blizzard website and tooltip in game, not the 1542 currently listed on wowhead.

Assuming the proc triggers instantly (which it will not) and an ICD of 45s, the average haste is 428 for the wielder and ~82 for the three lucky allies.

Having used this staff for nearly a week, I find the performance underwhelming compared to Lightning Rod. This is somewhat disappointing considering the ilvl and that this is from the final boss for the tier.

The buff has a pretty consistent uptime of 15%-17% in raid boss fights if constantly casting.

So this staff can be swapped after procing for another weapon with more promising stats. Interesting. Anyone know if you're able to gain multiple procs via multiple staves?

I.E.; i have two of these babies and i get one to proc and switch to the 2nd one.

So here is my question... Is this better than Runestaff of Nordrassil? I mean the amount of hit i had to reforge to even get me room to use this weapon was insane. losing 301 hit is hard to do. anyways it pans out to be 6 more into on the runestaff, 570 secondary stats on the runestaff vs 300 and some off SP and the haste buff which averages to 430 or something I think. However with my expeience the proc either hates me or loves me. there are times and fights where i can not get it to proc for the life of me and others where it is always on ICD. please help.

I have used this staff over the Lightning Rod for the last two weeks now. It appears that, as a shadow priest, this staff is not as good as it sounds. On Ultrax, basically a stand and burn fight, where I would expect to see the most up time of this proc, it was only a dismal 12% up time, supposedly ~ 353 haste buff overall. Even redotting after it procs, it really isn't providing that much of a dps upgrade to justify reforging other items into hit to make up for the loss from swapping out the Lightning Rod.

Perhaps if you were to reach the 32% haste plateau, giving you your next VT tick, either with a DI, or just with gear alone, this staff would prove more useful. But the way I see it, unless you have reached that plateau, you should not rely RNG to earn that extra tick.

Got this as a Resto Druid last night. It replaced my Scalpel of Unrelenting agony and the Raid Finder Ledger of Revolting Rituals.
As of this moment I'm not entirely sure if it's an upgrade or not. I heal a lot harder, but go oom quicker as well. I think that if you can take the haste hit, assuming you're well above the 2005 Haste soft cap, and take the Spirit hit then it's definitely a great option. I generally make it down to about 50% mana between innervates when I'm doing it with pubbies and about 70% when I'm with a guild. So I'm fine.

Just something to take into consideration, if you can take the spirit/haste hit then it's a fantastic staff for Resto's all over. If not then you're better off with Scalpel/Ledger or Maw/Ledger.

I may switch back to Scalpel/Ledger till I can get Maw. Still if I do my Boomkin LOVES this staff.

I have been using Ti'Tahk along with Seal of the Seven Signs . The haste rating procs happen fairly often for me and the 4k + haste rating bonus is a nice touch on my Disc Priest.

If you go Oom fast into a fight and like to conserve mana, you may want to wait to use this as haste increases increases mps used (although it also increases hps)
