I'm sure most raids will easily acquire this without trying but I'll post a strat anyway..

The main thing to keep in mind is that any damage the Mark of the Fallen Champion also builds more Blood Power, so each time it is cast, it will be faster until the next one. (I.E. if you get him to 50% and the first one is cast, even if you do everything else the same, he won't be dead before the next one.)

One option if you have high enough DPS, is to let the first person marked die, heal the boss for 5%, but not allow him to gain his blood power faster. (Our 25 used 4 healers, so we had him sub 50% at the first Mark, thus letting the first person die +Lust = dead before the second.)

Obviously the achievement isn't to get it before the second one, but we found that it was best for the healers to let the first marked player die as the 5% hp gain and DPS of one player lost is alot easier to compensate for than the extra healing required and the faster BP gain on the Deathbringer.

This achievement is like A Quick Shave - it's possible to kill the boss without getting it, but most farm kills are going to earn the achievement.

My guild got a total of 6 Marks with the "heal the Marked" strat (go-go Beacon of Light) on our (clean) first kill, so even a bit of luck for an average guild will get this achievement, no special strategies or crazy over-gearing required.

I haven't seen it written down here somewhere yet, but a good tactic for 25man is to let the first one or two people who get Mark of the Fallen Champion die as soon as possible.

Die? What did you say? Die?

Yes die!

For every person alive with Mark of the Fallen Champion on him, Saurfang gets one extra blood point. With 1 mark up, he gets 2 bloodpoints instead of 1 on each tick, with 2 marks up he gets 3 points each tick, etc. That's why marks keep coming in faster and faster during the fight, until your healers can't keep up anymore.

If you let the first one or two people who get marked die, the following marks will come in on normal rate (like the start of the fight).

When we figured this out, the fight became incredibly easy and we got the achievement I've Gone and Made a Mess (25 player) without any hassle and the 10 player version an hour or so later.

it should be noted, if the player runs out and mounts an cannon (in the ship behind) HE BECOMES COMPLETELY IMMUNE TO THE EFFECT.
He is like 'dead' but saurfang doesn't take 5% hp

I am surprised it isn't the other way around, beating him AFTER 5 marks are cast. Now that would actually have been a bit challenging.

In fact, is it actually anybody who have downed him and doesn't have this achivement? Cause' I have never seen anybody without it.
