3 posts and no one explained what exactly a system shutdown was.

I'm assuming it's no vehicles in the raid dying?

It can't be stun, as thats called something Overload.

system shutdown is the precursor to overload. basically to get this achievement, you cannot overload Flame Leviathan.

You get this achievement when his speed buff is not dispelled, meaning no one killed the turrets on top of him.

The boss has 4 turrets on him. People are shot up on top of him from one the demolisher.

Once up there you destroy a turret and a "switch" is uncovered, if you click this switch it slows the boss down, increase damage to the boss by 50% for about 10 seconds.

Basically to get this achievement you do not click the buttons.

This is very easily doable.

This achievement somehow seems harder then... well described.

This is due to the 2% speed buff that flame lev gains over time, which will ultimately cause a raid wipe.

Also, is it possible to kill the NPCs on Flame Lev, but NOT click the button?

My guild got this achievement much by accident as well (We didn't know about the turrents and causing the overload lol).

Flame Lev is so pitiful you never need to slow him down unless you are going for the Hard Modes.

Did this achievement without even realizing you could destroy the turrets then resulting in a Shutdown. Anywho, this achievement isn't difficult at all. Just kite better. :P

Easiest achievement you can possibly earn in the game. All you have to do is shoot down all the pyrite, and keep it stacked on FL. we 8man 25man FL weekly, not hard at all, free tank loot =]

Thanks to the simplicity of the Flame Leviathan encounter, you will be more likely to end the fight meeting the requirements for this achievement than not. Rarely will a group actually take the time to cause the Shutdown effect. In fact, most groups don't even know the effect exists. As such, I'll write a short guide on how not to get this achievement, because that is more difficult.

-Preparation: You'll need a DPS of some kind (melee, usually) to take the gunner position in a Demolisher. One ability of the Demolisher is to load the passenger into the catapult, and fire the passenger at Flame Leviathen. Aiming is entirely optional. There are ALWAYS more DPS players that you can reload with should you miss. Begin the encounter.

-Implementation: Once the encounter has begun, launch your DPS buddy in the general direction of Flame Leviathan. Common sense dictates you do this only after he has collected enough Pyrite for you to amuse yourself with once you've jettisoned him. The only acceptable deaths in this encounter are from boredom, asshattery, and general shenanigans. Around the third attempt at drunkenly launching comrades, when by chance someone lands on top (rather than crushed underneath) they can begin attacking the turrets that surround the top tier of the Flame Leviathan. Rinse and repeat until all turrets are down. Congratulations on not getting this achievement! (The bullet DPS who lands successfully will actually get an achievement... But what I can say? Casualty of war.)
