This achievement requires you to progress in the Necrolord campaign and infiltrate the House of Rituals (This should be Chapter 8, which is available around week 7 of the expansion, but not 100% sure on campaign gating times on Live) . Once you disguise yourself as an Acolyte, several additions can be added to your disguise, either from quests around the area, or rares. As you increase your disguise options, the toy Acolyte's Guise will gain increasing additions.

I'm unsure why this achievement is listed under exploration and not under "Expansion Features/Covenant" like other specific covenant achievements. Don't worry about how to unlock this one too much (if you are Maldraxxus). Most of the upgrades to your outfits come from quests with normal quest markers, that unlock as you level through the second-to-last Maldraxxus campaign quests. The Discarder Grimoire, Sorcerer's Blade, Amethystine Dye and Ritualist's Mantle are unlocked that way.

As the campaign questline progresses, more of the disguise side-quests unlock, and your route takes you past them. Some of the quests are group quests. The toy to take the shape at will comes at the end of the campaign quest in the area.

Small notes:
1. Sorcerer Vutral is one of the quest objectives. Right now, his respawn time is quite long.
2. Don't forget to use the awarded items in your inventory.
3. Once you've unlocked the Amesthystine Dye, there's a Mannequin near Moret the Vogue where you can apply or remove unlocked items. 71.5, 33

The location of the three other things may be random drops from specific mobs. This list is still subject to updates. They can also drop for your alts of other Covenants, as long as you've earned the toy:
-Ashen Ink may sometimes drop from Zargox the Reborn (Credit: bloody2)
-Mucosal Pigment seems to drop from Oozes in Maldraxxus (Credit: Oorlian and others)
-Jagged Bonesaw may sometimes drop from Collector Kash (Credit: Xaloulos and others)

Intended or not, once a character on your Account has unlocked the necessary Maldraxxus Covenant Toy, certain items (i.e. Mucosal Pigment) are able to drop for characters of other covenants, allowing non-Necrolord progress on this achievement.

Even if you can collect the customizations that aren't tied to the necrolord campaign on your covenant, you however won't be able to get the campaign customizations that necrolord can get during their campagin. I don't know if Crypt Couture supposed to be account-wide progress or if it's a bug that make the other customizations drop for other than necrolords right now. It can also be that you can get the necrolord campagin customizations from other sources that we don't know yet.

Completed this today. Had farmed Collector Kash for the Jagged bonesaw and Zargox for the Ashen Ink for a while without any drops.
Then I had an idea and activated the acolytes guise toy today. Both items dropped today!

There are covenant specific achievements currently in Shadowlands but they are NOT visible to the members of the other covenants and you don't have to complete them to reach 100% of all achievement done on that specific character. Crypt Couture is the only exception making me believe this is not intended. It would be weird if this is the only achievement in the game that forces you to be a certain covenant and it's placed in the exploration section of all places. Please report this as a bug so they can fix it. I mean at the end of the day we can bite the bullet and level a Necrolord alt, complete the whole campaign, get renown up and struggle with RNG for weeks before completing this achievement or we can just report it so they can remove it from the game or move it where it should be (in the Necrolord only category of achievements)!

I've been killing Zargox and Kash every single day for over a month now and I have yet to see anything drop. I really don't get why such irrelevant items have such a low droprate. What's even the point? Is this bugged or did they honestly think it would be okay if I got appearances for a feature nobody uses by farming a certain rare for a year?

How hard can it be for Blizzard to place this achievement where it belongs?
It should be Expansion Features -> Covenant Sanctums + active only for Necrolords (since you can't complete it with other covenants)
Instead it's randomly under exploration and active for every covenant... What is this, and why has it not been fixed in 5 months in the expansion? I really don't get it. Reported it 3 times now as a bug.

Once you've unlocked the Amethystine Dye, there's a Mannequin at 71.56 32.83 near Moret the Vogue where you can apply or remove unlocked items.

So the only RNG heavy items are Ashen Ink and Jagged Bonesaw.

So i received Ashen Ink after 30-35 kills but i am still missing the Bonesaw. I got the Bonesaw on my alt and now i am paranoid that it can't drop on the alt i need it on. Can somebody confirm getting this item twice on two different characters on the same account.

Edit: 9/5/2021 finally got the Bonesaw on the correct alt confirming that you can get it on multiple characters per account. I got it after 45-50 kills of Collector Cash so i assume it isn't bugged like people think it is, it's just extremely rare somewhere in the range from 1% to 3% i would assume.

For people that are waiting for Blizzard to remove this achievement from the exploration tab i just want to point out that the "Prestige" achievement is still in the game after 3 years since the prestige system has been removed from the game, i would recommend leveling an alt and joining the Necrolord covenant, doing the campaign for 3-4 hours to reach 8/9 progress on the main story so you can start farming this achievement out.

Moral of the story, don't give up, keep on grinding and you will get this item.

To earn Crypt Couture after completing all required quests, there are several drops and quests around Maldraxxus

Ashen Ink drops from Zargox the Reborn at /way 28.8 51.6

Mucosal Pigment drops from any slimes, droplets, oozes, including rares and the giants near the House of Plagues and Plaguefall.

Jagged Bonesaw drops from Collector Kash at /way 49.6 23.6

Discarded Grimoire is a reward from A Fatal Failure picked up from Captain Prateq located at /way 70.4 27.8

Sorcerer's Blade is a reward from Casting Doubt which starts by picking up Sorcerer's Note on the ground in the Vault of Souls, on a small bookcase. Entrance to the Vault at /way 71.0 28.5

Amethystine Dye is a reward from Regalia de Rigueur picked up from Moret the Vogue at /way 71.6 32.8

Ritualist's Mantle is a reward from Mantle of Mastery picked up from Ton'hamil at /way 67.8 30.6(##RESPBREAK##)258##DELIM##Anshlun##DELIM##

Now, that free covenant switches are a thing, you can switch to necro, (almost) finish the campaign in a couple of evenings for necro only stuff, and proceed with farming other items in your own covenant. The only catch is that the boss for ashen ink can only be summoned by a necro.
I've been farming this for about a week, and now only need one last item.

I recently got this achievement. I did the whole campaign for necrolord and then switched to night fae. I needed the Jagged Bonesaw from Collector Kash and Ashen Ink from Zargox the Reborn when I switched to Nightfae. It took me about a month to get both drops. I also used the item Scroll of Teleport: Theater of Pain which is sold by One-Eyed Joby just outside the Theater of Pain area which saved sooooo much travel time. It can be annoying if you play on a heavy populated realm but I found having warmode on more successful as the rares were up pretty much all the time.

Something broke with patch 10.1.5, because it completely reset my progess on this achiev.I missed only one item to finish it (Jagged Bonesaw) and now its completely reseted. I dont have nice words for this crazy rng achiev and now this. I realy hope, they can solve this very soon.
