To earn this trophy you need to kill 100 common or elite assassins The Jailer sends for you through your journey across the Maw.

You have to reach Tier 3/4 of The Eye of the Jailer to make the assassins hunt for you.
There's a mark Hunted will be applied on your character randomly.
An assassin will ambush when you start fight at any mob while the mark is active.
Killing an assasin increases The Jailer attention to you so the The Eye of the Jailer keeps grow.
You cant kill 100 assassins during a single session as after reaching tier 5 The Eye of the Jailer you'll start losing hp rapidly and cant progress through the Maw until the buff resets.

Good to know this achievement exists before buying the permanent upgrade from Venari that immunes you from getting Assassins.

Killing other people assassins works too, here is the easiest way to do it :

you can farm this once you have threat level 3 to 5 :
-go into the maw
-wait for the 'red eye' -
-aggro a random mob on the left
-kill assassin
-take portal to oribos and repeat

Seen some confusion about this. The Maw upgrade "Sigil of the Unseen" makes you immune for The Jailer's Mark.
That is a DoT that also increases your Eye of the Jailer. You will still get assassins they will simply be less powerful as they lack the debuff.

So this upgrade is worth getting as it won't conflict with your achievement.

I finished the achievement super quickly using this method:
What you need
* Have Tier 3 or 4 of The Eye of the Jailer
What is useful
* The Maw upgrade Sigil of the Unseen sold by Ve'nari (Gives you immunity to the debuff assassin's give you)
* The Maw upgrade Animated Levitating Chain sold by Ve'nari (Let's you use grapple points all around The Maw)

1. Enter the Maw
2. Hunted Will be added to your character in few moments.
3. Leave Ve'Nari's Refuge, walk past the Waystone to Oribos and jump down where lava is (or you know, walk down the hill)
4. There are bunch of bugs called Slagshell Hatcling's who can be one shot and killing one of those sends assassin after you.
5. After killing assassin, you can easily use Grapple Point above you from where you jumped down next to the Waystone to Oribos to get back up.
6. Enter Oribos.
Repeat from step 1

Hey folks, some extra information for those wanting to farm this:

- You must reach Eye of the Jailer level 3/5 in order to spawn assassins;
- Assassins will appear only after you enter combat with the Hunted debuff (look for the red eyes over your character's head);
- The Hunted debuff appears approximately every 2.5 minutes from the time you killed your last assassin;
- You get credit for killing both yours and others assassins!

So the fastest way to do this is probably to just grab a few friends at EotJ 3/5, stand around and dodge tower bombardments until Hunted shows up, pull random mobs and kill the assassins that show up. ;) Happy hunting!

Just as a test, I plopped down my Turnip Punching Bag; entering combat with it also spawned an assassin. No more effective or efficient than the other methods already mentioned in the comments, but I found it amusing!

As a druid, once you have The Eye of the Jailer level 3/5, you can can quickly bounce in and out of the zone using Dreamwalk.

Hang out in Zovaal's Cauldron /way 41.18 41.48
Dreamwalk out of The Maw
Immediately Dreamwalk back into The Maw
Wait for the Hunted debuff
One shot a Slagshell Hatchling
Kill your your Assassin

The entire loop takes just under 60 seconds with load screens and waiting for the debuff. I'm not sure if it's really any faster than zoning back to either Oribos or Torghast but it's definitely less running and that's a win in my book.

9.1.5 - new mob added that counts for this achievement - Mawsworn Blackguard

Hmm, with the removal of the Eye of the Jailer in 9.1 after some questing, will this achievement no longer be possible?

Either way should probably get it done before 9.1 if you want it just to be safe.

A relatively quick way to farm this achievement at Ve'nari's Refuge

Reach 3/5 for eye of the jailer
Walk into the rested zone (Just at the edge of the entrance is enough, as long as you get into a rested state and is able to log out immediately)
Log into the game and walk towards the left where you should find some monsters
Within a few seconds the game should prompt you "You are being hunted."
Tag the monster (up to you if you want to kill it), kill assassin and walk back towards Ve'nari's Refuge
Logout and repeat

If you are in a party and all have eye of the jailer 3 (with "you are being hunted" debuff), they can all summon a separate assassin which will count to your achievement. You can fly through the achievement this way. Also, find a quiet place away from the opposing faction, as they can tag your assassin negating the kill.

Warning: Using the Bolvar to skip ahead to Korthia will result in the immediate loss of the Eye of the Jailer!

There's a much faster way now that 9.1 is here.

1. Get to Eye of the Jailer level 3+

2. Go to Korthia and head back to the Maw.

3. Once the "You are Hunted" message displays. Simply attack a mob nearby. *DON'T KILL IT IF ABLE*

4. Defeat the Assassin and then head back to Korthia.

5. Repeat.

Edit: This is VERY scalable with larger groups. There is no Loading Screens. Get a group of people, do your weekly soul collecting and head over to the Korthia border!

Is this achievement still possible to get after you "Blind the Eye"? or I Just @#$%ed it up by completing that quest. I was at 81/100 ....

for all the people worried if u can get this achivment after 9.1.
u can have som1 that hasnt done the 9.1 quests and hasnt killed the eye yet to invite u to a party and use party sync.
u will get eye of the jailor and u can go get rank 3 and kill assassins.

Just got the achievement just by stalking people that had a set of eyes over their heads while they try to collect the weekly souls. Only had 2 left before I killed the eye.

Warning: Post 9.1 Update, if you complete the quest Focusing the Eye it removes the Eye of the Jailer and you won't be able to accrue Assassins anymore. Be sure to complete this beforehand if you still want the achievement!

If you are Death Knight there is one easy way to do this achiev. Get eye of the jailer rank 3, kill assasin-then use death gate to leave maw, port back from acherus to maw using death gate again, wait for assasin, kill him and repeat :)

once you have blinded the eye of the jailer this achievement becomes impossible to complete on that character unless you find someone else that can still spawn the assassins...

Use a mawsworn soulseeker to spawn the assassins. When you run back into Korthia, it will de-aggro from you immediately.

I just did this with a friend who hasn't done Korthia into yet. He reached Tier 3 of The Eye of the Jailer and we arrived at the borders between The Maw and Korthia. After killing a mob he ran to the Korthia and back to reset Hunted and I was pulling mobs closer to him in the meantime. We both started at something around 60/100 and it took us roughly half an hour to complete the achievement

Did this achivement today and followed some peoples advices from what I have seen here.
But I will add some information that we tested out.

1. Be more than 2 try to get a full group. (goes faster)
2. Get someones alt that have not yet got into Korthia that still have the Jailers Eye left
3. Sync the questlog to the one that have the alt.
4. Go do the Maw dalies, and some of the bonus objectives so you reach tier 3 (together dont leave group)on the eye, to get the assasins to start spawning.
5. At tier 3 they will spawn on timer, every 5-6 min, in tier 4 it was down to every 3-4 min
6. We also found out that if you die, it spawns you an assassin as soon as you ress yourself.
Smartest way todo this, is actually to stand just outside the cave,(Venar'is) because you will ress just inside the cave and you have just have to run out.
At tier 5 you will die pretty fast due to stacks
7. If the person dies that spawned an assassin, the asssassin will go away.
8. After you finished leave the group and go to Oribos and your debuffs will go away, all except one. "Eye Of The Jailer" (stygia and reputation gains reduced by 100%)

We did 2 roughly 2 hours and got 70 assassins during that time. So more people = alot faster and everyone gets the count for the kill.

Hi!
Anyone who has finished Focusing the Eye, you can still do it afterwards. Just kill the Mawsworn Blackguard in the Maw. It worked for me.

I added it to the rarescanner and indicated if she found one.

I ran into this problem as well, here's how I finished it for my main (BM that had already completed the CoD campaign and had all Ven'ari upgrades)

1) Got an alt through the second chapter of the Chains of Domination campaign. This granted easy access to Korthia, allowed for mounting in the Maw, and removed the debuffs for Beastwarrens and other areas

2) Party-synched with the alt and parked the alt just on the Korthia side of the Maw/Korthia border near the Death's Advance camp

3) Took my main into the zone and got the eye up to tier three, then returned to where my alt was parked in Korthia

4) Zoned back into the Maw, waited about 10-20secs for the first launch of the tier 2 tower shackle...at which time it should also say you are being hunted

5) Aggro'd one of the fog walkers very close to the border. Simply getting aggro will spawn the Assassin, you don't have to actually attack the fog walker

6) Killed the assassin and then Feigned Death.

7) Walked the few seconds back over the border to Korthia, and as soon as the Eye vanished, I went back in. Repeat 4-7 until you're done

NOTE: Keeping the fog walker alive to re-aggro each run definitely saves some time, but for other classes it isn't that much farther to walk down to where a bunch of giant maw rats are (I did this before I got the hang of killing the assassin without killing the mob), the respawn timer isn't too long, within a few kills the fog walkers will be back up

Although the alt's Eye remained at tier 0 and was never actually in the Maw for the kills (sitting just over the border in Korthia), it still got credit for the kills toward its own achievement

As of now you have to kill Mawsworn Blackguards to complete this Achiev. So what worked best for me was a combination of the addons Routes (you also need Routes Import/Export if you want to import my route) and Weakauras, plus the use of Wormhole Generator: Shadowlands and Cypher of Relocation.

My Route (to import a route, open the Route Addon via "/routes" in chat and select "Routes" here you have an Import Textbox to copy+paste the following string:

Since i didnt wanna smash a macro all the time, i made a variant of a weakauro from Wassaa (credits to them!) which makes a thundering sound and hightlights the Mob.

When i reached to point at "/way 58.74, 54.12" i used either the Wormhole Generator: Shadowlands to "The Maw" or Cypher of Relocation and then the teleporter behind Venari to the Tremaculum. Depending what was of cooldown. Rinse and repeat the route. For every run i killed about 11-14 Mawsworn.
