To earn It's In The Mix you need to kill all creations from mixing pool in Maldraxxus.
Mixing ppol is located at coordiantes 58.50 74.15.

To create a mob you need to gather different ingredients from the mobs around (mostly south).
There is a world quest Mixing A Mess may be, but mixing pool can be used without it.
There are 3 different ingredients you can gather:

Viscous Oil - drops from Burning Extract and Colossal Plasma
Miscible Ooze - drops from Diseased Remnant and Infectious Monstrosity
Mephitic Goo - drops from Colossal Goo and Prodigious Animate

For killing all 7 creations you'll earn It's In The Mix. You only need to kill them, not summon.
Ingredients are not personal loot, they drop on the ground like a slime so anyone can interact to it it and bring to the pool.
Ingredients also can be looted multiple times and persons so the best way to mix all the creatures - find a group.

Pool of Mixed Monstrosities is located in House of Plagues, south of the Maldraxxus Plague Watch windrider.

Mobs in the area drop glowing objects on the ground after death.
It is not personal loot, everyone can interact with the object.

Miscible Ooze drops from Diseased Remnant & Infectious Monstrosity (Yellow slime giants north of the Pool)
Your objective is to pick up the item and bring it to the pool.

After you bring 30 items to the Pool, it spawns a rare
If you manage to bring the correct combination of ingredients it should summon 1 out of 7 rares for It's In The Mix achievement.
The main problem is that's it's group event and everyone can participate and ruin your setup.

Hints:

Achievement can be done in 1 day.
Pull mobs as close as you can to the Pool of Mixed Monstrosities before killing them,
This will reduce the amount of time you have to spend substantially

Most speed buffs work, you can even use mounts and they should speed you up a little bit
If you don't see the items on the ground after kills, complete the questchain in the area

To get It's In The Mix you need kill the all 7 rares. To summon these rares you need combined Oils in differente proportions.

Pulsing Leech: Viscous Oil > Miscible Ooze, Mephitic Goo. 30/0/0 is the best proportion to summon fast.
Gelloh: Miscible Ooze > Viscous Oil, Mephitic Goo. 16/14/0 is a good proportion.
Oily Invertebrate: 10x Viscous Oil 10x Mephitic Goo 10x Miscible Ooze.
Boneslurp: Miscible Ooze = Mephitic Goo > Viscous Oil 11/11/8 is a good proportion.
Violet Mistake: Viscous Oil = Mephitic Goo > Miscible Ooze. 15/15/0 is the best proportion to summon fast.
Burnblister: Miscible Ooze = Viscous Oil > Mephitic Goo 11/11/8 is a good proportion.
Corrupted Sediment: Mephitic Goo > Miscible Ooze, Viscous Oil. 16/0/14 is a good proportion.

Viscous Oil and Mephitic Goo you can get fast if you move mobs the most near to Pool of Mixed Monstrosities and turn multiple times fast.
If you be fast you can return 2x Miscible Ooze before the mob despawns.

I tried this one on retail today
i just passed by as the Pulsing Leech was up (level 55 rare)
killed him and did the event to spawn the Oily Invertebrate which happend to spawn as a non rare
also didnt drop anything except gray vendor item
can you only do one of those per day now?

Edit(11/26): so did a second attempt with the violet mistake it also spawned non rare
seems they only spawn rare if the one throwing in the last pot hasnt killed one of them that day
otherwise i dont know why this happens
(will try tomorrow to confirm)

Edit2(11/27): So was the last one to throw in a pot today and it still spawned as a non rare
so its probably either be lvl 60 or have the covenant with the maldraxxus faction to be able to do so?
if anyone could enlighten us please do so :)

This is next to impossible right now. Because there's a daily to throw slime in the pool, and no way to stop or correct it, people keep throwing in too much red or too much blue and screwing it all up. This is horribly designed.

some tips to help speed this achiev up

1. kill them as close to the pool as possible, it's even possible to get 30 ingredients from 1 kill if you're fast enough. example: gfycat.com/relievedfemalekitty

2. there's 1-2 yellow slime boys and 1 red slime boy south of the pool, both of these are kitable from their spawn location to the pool as long as you keep them in combat

3. the blue slime boys cannot be kited all the way to the pool, if you attack the blue elite slime boy when his patrol path is the closest to the pool you can pull him just up the ramp next to the pool.

4. focus on the yellow and blue slimes first because generally people leveling in the zone doing the daily will be throwing red slimes into the pool so if you do your red slimes the last that can't mess you up

5. if you're a priest you can kite the yellow slime boys from the north of the pool by mind controlling them to not let the guards kill them before you get to the pool.

(I do think it's possible to kite them without being a priest if you avoid the patrolling guard and stick to the right side wall to avoid the guard next to the the flight master but I haven't tested this myself, if the slime boy gets too close to the guards or attacks you the guards will kill it.)

Proudmoore people suck they keep focusing on the violet rare which can only be killed once. And never try to kill any others :( All I need is damn boneslurp

I can't understand why the other two color oozes are so far away from something anybody can add to. It feels like you need a full raid of 30 delivering all at once to ensure it doesn't mess up.

Finished this achieve by myself with no coordination. The best time to work on these is between 6am and 9am server time imo AND when the world quest or daily is NOT active. There are usually few people doing anything with the slime pool during this period. Focus on getting the yellow Miscible Ooze first, then work on the blue Mephitic Goo, and last the red Viscous Oil which is the easiest to acquire. I didn't announce what I was doing in chat because if you do, there's always some jerk that will ruin it on purpose. If you wish to better your odds, you can attempt to put together a group via the achievements discord.

Achievement is not really as hard as you might fear. Just make sure you pick a day when the related WQ is not up and make a group for it. Keep communicating with randoms through /s and General chat.

Accept that mistakes will happen and try to be alert on when you can change the target rare. For example if you're aiming for Boneslurp but too many blues get put in, you can change it to Corrupted Sediment instead. I think the hardest to do are Boneslurp and Burnblister and because of this you should start with these two.

The toy reward is mailed to you from The Postmaster after achievement is completed.

I have been sitting here for an hour and have only found 2 mobs that drop the yellow ooze. Not well thought out by Blizzard.

Why are the mobs that drop yellow ooze soooo far away? I feel like this is impossible unless you play at off hours on a low pop server or you organize a full raid to gather every single ingredient and then toss them all in at once. I guess you could probably organize one in chat, but good lord, Blizzard did not have to make this achievement this hard to accomplish.

Painful, would be infinitely easier if there wasn't a leveling quest designed to ruin your progress. A few tips that helped me:

Don't attempt if the world quest is up. Don't attempt at peak times, I did this at 3:30 am server time and only saw about 1-2 people per summon (each person gives you a panic attack).
If the summon needs yellow, get the yellow first. Then blue second. I never saw a random turn in yellow, but you can blink and see 10 more reds.
Do the most difficult ones (the ones needing a lot of yellow) first. If randoms mess you up, try to salvage it into another summon you need.
Get yellow from the north area, near Plaguefall entrance. They can be kited far, all the way down to the flightpoint.
Assuming you kited the mobs as far as you can, don't bother mounting up while carrying slime. Use any movement abilities instead, I even used glider when jumping down the hill. Mount up as you turn in and head back.

Absolute life hack - Diseased Remnant can be kited all the way to the pool (I kept mine in combat with low/no damage abilities). You can hand in ~10 Miscible Ooze from such kill solo. The rest should be very easy afterwards

If you're having trouble getting yellows to spawn in Plague Watch, there are a few Diseased Remnants and Infectious Monstrosities near the entrance to the Plaguefall Dungeon and you can carry 2-3 yellow slimes per mob back to the pool if you have flying.

My tips and experience if you are soloing:

Focus on pulling the big walking slimes (yellow and blue) as close as possible
There is one really huge walking slime that spawns and patrols around, try and wait until the pats close to the pool
They evade for some reason after a certain distance even if kept in combat
Focus on blue and yellow as people can mess it up with the red slimes
You can pull the nearby red slimes super close to the pool without evading
Towards the very back north west you have 2 blues 1 yellow
Yellow also spawn north of the pool down the stairs, but you’ll only get up to 2 for credit as they are far away
I suggest you do this very late at night when no one is around
Took me about 2-3 hours

i was doing this with others - and i had 6 of the 7 done - just needed burnblister - other people often messed it up but we persevered -

strangely when i killed Gellow for the third time the achievement completed and i was awarded the smelly jelly! never did kill burnblister!

not gonna report this bug :)

Finally finished this achievement after a ton of solo effort and begging questers to not just load up on reds.

For yellows, definitely search around near the PF Dungeon entrance. That is how I was able to get the Blue=Yellow>Red before questers just loaded it up. GL!

This one wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't for the stupid slow it gives you. Remove that and this could be done much quicker.

Make sure to kill any walking blob skeletons around the south area of the wrong colour, as they all have a chance to spawn as all 3 colours.

Dragonriding mounts do not get slowed like normal mounts, so it is much faster now
