I'm trying to get this achievement at the moment, during the "No Party Like a Trogg Party" Quest, but it is extremely hard. The debuff allowing you to clip a trogg on the ground and hold it there before dragging him with you is 10 seconds long, Bolas has a 3 seconds cooldown, and while you drag them (20seconds duration) you damage them extremely fast while moving.

I assume I'll have to clump some of them together, make sure there are no NPCs attacking them as well as playing characters nearby, bolas 3 of them and walk over them while keeping the other two nearby and not moving.

If anybody has any other strategy please feel free to share it.

Update: Just managed to get it by dragging them all in the area indicatedby my cursor (Screenshot) a few steps below the huge bell.

Use Bolas ability on troggs to drag them, the point is to drag 5 of them at the same time.
After using Bolas you have to ride over the trogg to throw a rope.
Troggs are taking huge damage and die rather quickly so you have to find a place with a lot of them.
I was able to do it in the north part of Norwington Estate near the dance floor.
You can do this achievement while doing No Party Like a Trogg Party quest in main Tiragarde Sound campaign A Sound Plan.
Or you can do it later, there will be a Trogg Tromping world quest with the same mechanics.

Near where you pick up Cooper, I was able to aggro 2 patrols that were just walking around without attacking anyone. With these 2 following me (not using Bolas yet) I simply moved close to where 3 other troggs were fighting NPCs, and got the achievement very easily.

So my recommendation to anyone trying to do this, is to run around and locate 1-2 troggs patrolling the area and try to do it nearby.

If you're worried about accidentally completing the world quest before you do the achievement, you can mount cooper, invite a friend, convert to a raid, that way you won't get quest % completion, so you can freely try as much as you want 'til you get it! Remember you'll only see troggs once you've got credit for the mount cooper part, which needs to be done in a party, then switch it to raid.

That was easily one of the most aggravating minor achievements I have ever done. Dragging the troggs kills them extremely quickly so you think, "Okay! I'll just aggro a group of them together!" But the DAMN npcs all over the friggin place keep shoving their gigantic noses into your business and steal the aggro away from you! I was just BARELY able to complete it right before one of the troggs I was dragging died, the achieve box popped and it died a split second afterward, I must have dragged 75+ troggs to their deaths before I finally got it. The immense irritation I experienced was definitely not worth the measly 5 points, I recommend skipping it unless you are an achievement completionist.

update: the previous version of this script will not work as of shadowlands pre-patch (9.0.1). it has been updated but not tested extensively.

in order to more easily track your progress on this and other bfa achievements that require that specific world quests are available, you can run the following:

you can run the lines individually, using Paste / CopyPasta, or with an extended macro using Macro Toolkit.

if you've already completed an achievement on the current character it will be skipped, otherwise the achievement name will be listed along with whether or not the required quest is available:
true = achievement is not completed, and the required quest is available and should be added to the world quest tracker
false = achievement is not completed but not the required quest available

it will also print the number of quests currently available, but if you've already completed all of the achievements nothing will be displayed.

it should be noted that i've only tested this on alliance, different quest ids may be required for horde.

I was able to get this done pretty painlessly right in the starting area. There were 3 troggs already busy fighting NPC's and I spotted a couple wandering around nearby. I aggro'd those 2 over then Bola'd them one at a time.

Be aware of the 3 second cooldown on Bolas.

Aggro as many as you can before using the bolas. Every time you move while dragging you damage them so you dont want to take them far.

Now that there are less people doing these world quests than a year ago, it's a little easier to get it done.
Simply bring Cooper to an area where there are plenty of Trogg's to bolas, and then try to get 5 of them connected.

I found the starting area to be loaded with Troggs so this is where I finally got the achievement done.

The World Quest for this achievement finally popped today.

I failed it. Now I got to wait x-days, or x-weeks for it to pop again. Oof.

It's annoying because the Troggs take damage as you drag them to find other troggs. Plus, the NPC's that are fighting off the Troggs actually do some "decent" damage to them. So make sure you find a bunch of Trogg's grouped together and use your on them ASAP without that much moving around.

I'm an idiot.... Lol.

To recap what a bunch of helpful people have posted into one list:

Wait for Trogg Tromping to be up.
Mount Cooper.
Create a Premade Group in the Group Finder.
Convert to Raid. Now you can kill as many troggs and take as long as you need.
Agro some solo troggs (ones not fighting green NPCs) just by walking up to them.
If you can't agro five, take the ones you have to some others that are not solo.
Once five are next to you, use Bolas on them one at a time. Since they are already on you, you don't need to ride over them, and they will instantly fall to the ground, roped but alive.
Success!

so ive been waiting for this world quest for over 2 weeks now and it still hasn't popped I just got the show off world quest for the first time in like a month I already have almost all of the world quest achievements

If anyone is doing this in 2023 at level 70 and killing them too fast.
I made it work by getting naked and getting rez sickness.
I was weak enough not to kill them too fast.
