Step 2: Find Jani in 12 Mysterious Trashpiles all over the Zandalar.
You need either to complete quests or bring drop items.

All the items drop from mobs in the area near the Trashpile.
I list just 1 option, but usually you can farm them from similar mobs in the area.
After you bring the item Jani gives you treasure chest (Jani's Stash).

I am noticing sometimes the trash piles are bugged, and after giving Jani the tribute, the chest won't appear. It takes about 1-2 minutes, but it will appear. Just hang out until it does.

Wish Granted!

For those wondering why one would bother with this achievement, here's why:
Once you have completed this achievement then the pet vendor in Zandalari Happy Holaua will have the battle pet Child of Jani available for purchase for the low-low cost of 100 Polished Pet Charms.

Fret not if you are Alliance! Holaua has no faction as of the making of this post and will sell to anyone, Alliance or Horde. While the trip up the road may be hazardous for ones health, the NPC's in and around Holaua's shop won't attack you.

If you find a trash pile before Jani has called out to you, you won't be able to loot it. It will let you interact but the only dialogue option Jani will have is 'Release me'. In that case, just wander off a bit until Jani's whisper shows up and then check back.

Anyone know of a tracking script so you know which you have completed incase you forget?

step 1 - complete intro qeusts
step 2 - kill stuff and loot special items
step 3 - jani immediately whispers you when you get an item
step 4- go to jani at the nearest trash pile in the zone you looted the item (going to a different location wil result in utter failure)
step 5 - hand jani the item
step 6 - collect riches
step 7 - do this many times
step 8 - get achievement which unlocks battlepet.

Something I have noticed, if you play a hunter... be sure to dismiss your pet BEFORE doing any of Jani's prank quests. Some of them will have your pet phase out for the duration of the quest, but for others, like The Great Hat Robbery, your pet can still accompany you, and will cause you to "die" every time you bite the caravan. It doesn't prevent you from completing the quest, but it can be a bit annoying to have to run back and forth each time your pet takes damage.

Even though this achievement shows up as Battlenet wide on each alt you log on, only the alt (or alts) that actually completed it can access the Child of Jani pet from the vendor, Happy Holaua.

I completed it on my Alliance hunter, only to realize that the vendor is located in Dazar'alor, The Great Seal which is the main Horde starting area. I wasn't up for a multiple death run through tons of guards and players while flagged to get to the vendor on that alt. I tried logging in my Horde hunter, but Happy did not have the pet available for him. I had to actually complete the entire achievement on him before she offered it up for purchase.

Even though it seems common sense that it wouldn't carry over battlenet wide after being completed once, there isn't any published info stating so and others may wonder about this as well.

TLDR: Compete the achievement on whichever alt you want to purchase the pet with.

Dis be a must do achievement for any rogue, Jani be the lord of thieves after all so he be ya patron loa.

*update* And it have an even greater bonus than letting you care for one our loa's pups. It lets ya have access to raising Jani's holy shrine pile in zuldazar which will let you scrap anything at the various junk piles around the map.

If you are Alliance, it is actually very easy to get to Happy Holaua without even getting pvp-enabled. Simply enter through the northeast entrance. The Royal Guardians will not pvp-flag you and they leash rather quickly. Once you've crossed the bridge you can go the rest of the way without aggroing anything. This was a lot less work than doing the achievement a second time on a horde character.

Did anyone else have trouble getting the Feathered Serpent Scale? I have killed hundreds of these things, but I can't seem to get this item. I don't know if the RNGs just hate me or if it's bugged. Do I need to be on a specific World Quest to get them? I feel like there's something I'm missing.

Don't be deceived by the low drop rates on many of the items that Jani is asking for. Once you have unlocked her quests, while it's nowhere near 100%, I was able to get the items to drop within about 10-20 kills max on the things that dropped them.

The low drop % is due to *every* loot on those creatures being taken into account, including people who are not on the quest and people who have already completed it.

Also, as the items don't drop until you have done the opening quests, make sure you don't kill multiple hours trying to get a drop before you have done either Pests (for Horde) or Pests (for Alliance).

If it's taking you hours to get the item, chances are you had already looted the item previously and put it into your bank, like I did with 2 of the items. The drop rate isn't that low, it will drop within a couple of minutes, if not, look in your bank.

This can easily happen if you completed the initial quest for Jani and then lost interest. I got 3/4 of the items while just doing WQs.

For anyone having trouble with any of the "quests" for Jani that involve not getting killed by spiders and guards I highly recommend using any Azerite gear with the trait Resounding Protection or if you are level 115 and under equip Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus if you have it.

The absorb will allow you to get hit at least once before failing the quest, if you can stack multiple absorbs you can do these quests with your eyes closed... almost.

In 8.1 you get to unlock Scrapping stuff on Her piles too, after you did this, by raising an altar for her (I think on the same place you did for one of the 2 you do while questing in Dazar'alor).

All of the trash piles and associated mobs are in quest areas so unless you are in a rush you'll find yourself getting these done whilst doing other things. Only difference is the quests such as Taking the Loa Road where you have to click on the trashpile to start it, it doesn't come from a drop. As you wander around the zones you'll sometimes see small green Child of Jani running around (the pet you can get at the end) - they are a sign that a trashpile is nearby, which also means that mobs in the local area are targets for an item. When you do loot an item you'll normally get a whisper in chat from Jani to "bring it closer", which is handy when looting multiple mobs at once lol.

Watch out for Nesingwary's Trek & Rootway. Those two piles are close to each other. Couldn't figure out why I couldn't hand in Feathered Viper Scale for a long time. But I was at the wrong Trash pile >_>!

When doing this achievement at Saurid Surprise, I found out that as a druid you can type /cast prowl on the parts where you have to get past the spiders to actually stealth. I'm pretty sure this works for other classes too.

It doesn't work for 'Taking the Loa Road', which has no phase-part/spiders. You can prowl but it just drops the disguise after a while.

Note: if you turn your altars to scrap piles, you can't complete your quests for Get Hek'd. you have to go back to Chronicler Ash'Tari in Dazar'Alor and ask her to switch it back to Gonk or Pa'ku. Then you can do the quests as normal. So yeah, don't convert your trash piles until after you have finished this achievement.

Once you complete this entire questline, in addition to being able to get the child of Jani pet, a chest will appear in the water under the bridge in Dazar'alor at approximately 46.41 29.80. Stand right on the edge at this point and you will be able to click on the chest without getting in the water. An item will be in it that you take and scrap. It gives you a quest to talk to Jani on the docks. Completion of this quest and you will be able to scrap wherever there are trash piles in Zandalar instead of only being able to scrap on the profession level where the original scrapper is located. Jani refers you to the chronicler in the last quest and you can also change the shrines in Dazar'alor to trash piles instead of loa shrines, where you can also scrap. Kind of handy!

If you want to unlock Jani's trashpiles, scattered around many places, including the docks, to be able to use them as Scrappers.

Have Get Hek'd in any character (usually your main may have it).
Do Nokano and Jani's quests starting from Pests (just 2 quests). This will unlock Jani's trashpiles to be interactable.
Do the initial Zul'Dazar quests, pick it up as the 'leveling' zone from the Zandalar Scouting Map (Great Seal room), go to Rastakhan, pick up the quest for the Zanchul area (for Wardruid Loti and Hexlord Raal).
Do all quests untill you go talk to the Loa you chose (Gonk/Pa'Ku), then back to Dazar'Alor to talk to the NPC from the loa, turn the quest and a statue for the Loa spawns.
Done, go talk to Chronicler Ash'tari near you, beside a Golem to change the Loa to Jani. Profit, now you can scrap all 'useless' gear at any Jani's trashpiles, including the at the docks area, instead of having only 2 options (the one at the profession npcs area and the other in Tiragarde.

I think it is bugged after the Shadowlands prepatch, trying to get the Golden Ravasaur Egg for days now but that item doesn't drop, can anyone confirm this?

Just to share my frustration after spending hours trying to loot the 4 missing items for the Achievement and then, in despair, going to the bank and discovering I had them safely stored in there from who-knows-when as I knew they were meant for something...

The title of this achievement is a pun on Get ED, a computer-animated television series about a genetically engineered teenage delivery boy which was very popular on Disney. Same as happens when interacting with Jani, Ed, the main character used to be sent in several weird delivery missions, mostly in door dash style, but along the way, he was challenged for dangerous enemies whose sole purpose was to prevent deliveries.
