I'm doing “Glory of the Legion Hero” on beta and this is the last achieve left for me.
https://www.twitch.tv/fragnance/v/76548167 - The guys get the achievement on 45:30. We did everything they did but didn't get the achievement.

We also tried:
- to find the spy on the first try
- to find the spy quickly, in less than a minute
- to brind the demon that drops the key right to the door
- to pick up the key without opening the door
- to overhear at the door without getting inside
- to pass the dungeon very quickly, like it's speedrun
- to overhear a conversation standing on the nearby balcony

No one of the listed options didn't work! If anyone knows, how to complete this achievement, help me! Please answer here or give me your contacts - i'll write to you myself.

Also we tried:
- Clear up all the trash mobs in the dungeon
- Not to scary any citizen (they run in fear when you pass near them)
- To scary all the citizens
- To collect all activated items in dungeon
- To loot the key, but stay away from the door so the dialogue couldn't activate
- To send invisible rogues and feral druids to come to the door
- To have "exalted" with Nightfallen

..And no result. Blizzard, I know you read it. Give us a hint how to do this achievement, or at least make the good and clear description in journal, so people can understand, how to complete it.

Ended up getting this achievement on live servers, while I cant say what exactly may have caused us to get it or if is just random as PSDHoff says. However, as a challenge we tried to find the spy by going off just one clue given by the first Rumormonger at the entrance of the building. Ended up finding the spy on the 2nd guess.

Upon approaching the door after killing the spy and looting the key, instead of Advisor Melandrus's dialog opening up with "Must you leave so soon Grand Magistrix" he said something different (I can't for the life of me find or remember the quote). After the extended roleplay the group got the achievement before the boss was active.

Tested for a few hours.

- It is most likely not random (none of 100 groups i asked had it)
- It is not from a speed run
- It is not from identifying spy on first try
- It is not from disabling all the pillars
- It is not from using all objects in the instance that are usable
- It is not from doing it with only 1 clue

If it is random, blizzard is %^&*!@#s. Requires more than 100 runs to guarantee.

Did this achievement today, No special tactics just don't open the door until all the RP is done once you've found the spy. If you don't kill the last boss the encounter will reset after ~30minutes of zoning out.

my group and i have been doing this for the past couple of hours reseting the spy and doing it again. For some reason we keep getting caught, we are literally tapping move to the toor till the rp goes off then dont move at all and keep getting found out, not sure how to stop that from happening. other than that its just RNG of what text you get nothing special you have to do from what ive researched

Edit: Can confirm it's RNG cleared around 8 times and got the same text where she says "there are people watching" on the 9th clear she said "You throw a party for vapid nobles"

This is a timed achievement where you need to find the hidden demon in the party, kill him, and then open the door to the final boss before they finish their conversation - probably starts as soon as you slay the previous boss. I'll update this post with the exact time if someone tests enough to find it. This appears to be slightly false, but I'll leave the below as it is still relevant.

Have a Protection Paladin in your group? If so this achievement ridiculously easy. A Prot Pally's Truthguard's secret passive will cause it to light up when it detects a hidden demon. Simply run around the room and your shield will glow upon your back, and you will receive the buff Truthseeker. Usually you'll use you Eye of Tyr to expose the demon, but in this case you'll still need to talk to him to reveal him. You'll usually find him in a group, so you'll still need to pay attention to the clues to find the exact one, but it still significantly trivializes the search.

I suspect that other demon tracking abilities will work on this, such as Elixir of Detect Demon and Track Demons. ~~It's also possible that Demonhunter's Spectral Sight may also expose him.~~ Tested with a Demonhunter guildmate. They were not able to see the hidden demon.

After spending a good 4-5 hours trying this achievement with all the different crackpot theories here, our group finally got it by;
- Doing the first boss as normal, all 5 beacons disabled prior to the fight,
- Using every item our group could (We were able to do 4/5) prior to the second boss,
- We had one person talk to each Cluemonger once per NPC and figured out the spy first try from there,
- We killed the spy as normal,
- The same person who took clues took the key and rp-walked in stealth to the door while the other 4 stood still at the demon corpse.

So what we got from this is that it's more than likely pure RNG and absolutely nothing to do with how it's done, will edit after more testing.

got this achievement 9/12

unsure if it's on a timer, so be quick.

1.) right after the second boss dies, have everyone grab their disguise and run in
2.) we got a good hint right off the bat with the first rumor npc, paladin (with truthguard) got lucky and had his shield start glowing on the first pack on the ground floor
3.) clue was gold belt, one person wearing a gold belt in that pack, spoke to her and killed the demon quickly
4.) interacted with the dead demons shoulders gave us the keys - we RAN (not rp walked) up to the closed, unlocked door, waited for something to happen
5.) 30 seconds of running around later, someone got very close to the door without opening it, which seemed to proc the conversation
6.) we listened, got the achievement afterwards, before even opening the door

Dont think this achievement is RNG based.

My personal theory: At the start of the instance there are some clickable pillars with guards around them. Some of that guards attempting to run back to the pillar and activate it, think this is the catch!

! Once they activate the pillar, they send a signal to the Grand Magistrix Elisande and she knows that there are intruders in the instance, aka achievement failed. We tried this method today by stunning/gripping/slowing that specific guards asap and not letting them reach the pillar - in the end achievement poped from the first time.

TLDR: Dont let the Duskwatch Sentry guards reach the clickable pillars.

I did about 9 runs where we just guessed it was random rng, but on the tenth run, we decided to follow a tactic that famous WoW-player and streamer Asmongold was using. It was what follows:

1. Stun/kill ALL sentries (there are some patrolling around), do NOT let them reach the beacons and alert any other guards.

2. Disable all beacons BEFORE pulling the boss.

3. After the second boss, have like 1-2 people that know what they are doing go in and take all of the clues available. You must get the spy on your first try, so make sure you are 100% certain that the spy matches ALL the clues.
Edit: Every member of the group can enter the building and search for the spy, the reason I said to take 1-2 people is so that someone wouldn't accidentally talk to one of the guests and get kicked out. (This mostly applies for pugs or groups where you have no voicecomm.)

4. Just grab the keys from the dead demonlord and stand outside the door. A different conversation will pop and you just have to stand there for ~30 seconds, and the achievement is yours. (Don't open the door until the conversation ends, most likely doesn't affect it, but for safety's sake).

5. Gratz, achievement is yours!

(This COULD just be a total coincidence that both my group AND Asmongold's group got it first try with this tactic, but I feel like it's better to have something to go after than just running and hoping for pure rng.)

UPDATE: There have now been several confirmations that this achievement is purely based upon rng, meaning that you simply just have to get lucky in order to get it. At the time of my achievement completion it was all just speculations, but now we have a stable source (Even had a post from a GM confirming it).

Just completed this achievment with a group of friends as of 15/09/2016 with the next conditions:

Deactivated all the Arcane Beacons (All 5 of them)

Killed all the Duskwatch Sentries that were in our path, without allowing them to do anything (Stunned)

Used poison on the first boss (Doubt that this affects the achievment)

After second boss, we got our disguises with Ly'leth Lunastre

We talked to as many Chatty Rumormongers as we could, and we got 4 Clues

Brought a protection pally to help find the right spy and make sure it was the right one, after we had read the 4 clues already, and had a good hint at which spy was it (The protection paladin's shield was glowing when we got near the spy that was a demon)
Talked to the spy, killed him and looted the key

Got near the boss gate while RP Walking without opening the gate (The one that looted the key leading the group)
The dialog played and we got the achievment

This is the dialog between Elisande and Advisor Melandrus when you succeed on the achievment is the next:

"Elisande says: You throw a party for vapid nobles even as rebels leave corpses strewn about our streets?

Advisor Melandrus says: I assure you, Grand Magistrix, the situation is being adressed. It will be a simple matter to track down a few random dissidents and--

Elisande says: Random? Do you not finding striking that each body found is decorated with a dusk lily? The same flower adored by Thalyssra?

Advisor Melandrus says: I... I'm not sure what you're getting at, Grand Magistrix.

Elisande says: Then let me be plain. You bungled your assassination of Thalyssra. In fact, she is very much alive, and is...

Advisor Melandru says: Impossible! My guards would never permit such an intrussion!

Elisande says: Yet another failure, Melandrus. Conside this your chance to correct it. Dispose of these outsiders. Imust return to the Nighthold"

My bud who was a protection pally at the time guided us through this achievement the other day. This is what we did:

- Started the dungeon by killing every scout on the way to the 1st boss.
- Deactivated the pylons along the way.
- Killed the first 2 bosses with nothing special.
- After the 2nd boss, we got our disguises, and the prot pally told us not to talk to anyone.
- He used the passive effect of his artifact weapon, which started to glow when he got near the spy.
- We used the symbol markers at the point where his artifact started to glow, basically triangulating the spies position.
-- We did this twice, and got it both times, only after guessing the correct NPC as the spy on the first try. I dont know if you have to reset after guessing the wrong one. I assume you have to reset.
- When we talked to the spy, it walked upstairs. It went different ways both times.
- Killed the demon and collected his key. We all ran to the door to wait for the achievement, which was earned a few seconds later. Wait till after dialog stops to be safe.

We just got the achievement.Here are the steps to follow because i am pretty sure it is NOT RNG

1) Make sure you get the 5 clues from the NPCs

2) Find the right person on the first try

3) Kill the demon and then only one person gets the key

4) Everybody else stays in this room, the demon room

5) The person with the key walks up to the boss door

6) DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR The achievement is to only listen to them talk. After a while in front of the door without opening it the achieve will pop for everyone

It seems this worked for most of the groups that tried it that i know

1. Kill sentries, don't let them alert
2. Disable Beacons
3. Guess spy on first try

I can confirm that you have to stop all the sentries and disable beacons BEFORE 1st Boss fight.
We marked sentries before kills.
We used DK to grip sentries into stun, then disabled all beacons.
Lastly we used all clues and guessed spy on first try.

This method gave achievement first try. 0 alerts, 0 mistakes.

Other night I spent over 5 hours doing instance resets which did not include sentry kills and disabling beacons and that did not give achievement. So this is not RNG based.

You have to Kill all of the sentry npcs without them hitting the beacons, after that make sure you destroy all of the beacons before the first boss. Kill the first boss then proceed to the second boss, make sure to have a paladin with prot spec so that their artifact glows near demons, this will help you to find the demon, make sure you get it first try, this is important.
After that slow walk up to the door after killing the demon and taking the key and DO NOT touch the door, wait 30 seconds or so and bam its done.

So, after reading a bunch about this achievement, came to the conclusion it was probably timed, and you can't let the sentries reach the pillar. All the other stuff seems irrelevant. Kill sentries before they alert anyone, and get to the conversation in under 30m and you'll prolly get it.

My group got it a few days ago after we decided a speed clear was probably it, and a second group in my guild got it on their first clear today by just making it a fast one.

We got this achievement today and here's what we did that we think it might help to get this achievement

1, Disable all beacon before you kill the first boss

2, We avoided interact with all the nobles that before the 2nd boss(The ones who will run away when you get close to them)

3, We get our spy on the first try

4,(Most Important) One person stand in front of the door when other 4 are killing the demon(spy). After that, the other 4 picked up the key. The conversation for the achievement appears and we got the achievement.

No. 4 has been tried with some of my friends groups. They said they got the achievements.

Also, we have people died during the 2nd boss and before. So I don't think they should matter if you died in the instance or not.

In the interest of information sharing - my group failed the achievement - here's what we did:

Completed the Waiting for Gerdo achievement. (did not disable beacons prior to fight)
Killed all sentries before they could alert anyone.
Got the party guest correct on the first try.

I suspect we only failed because we tried to do Waiting for Gerdo in the same run.

You need to decide which archivement you want to do. If you do Waiting for Gerdo, you can't do Dropping Some Eaves anymore. Because the first boss will activates all Beacons to call the watchposts.

Just got this achievement today with a guild group. We did the following.

Stopped all sentries from getting to beacons before first boss (used DK Death Grip).
Disabled all 5 beacons along the way before pulling Patrol Captain Gerdo.
Cleared up to Talixae Flamewreath as normal.
Our tank got kicked out of the party after killing Talixae as he chose the wrong Suspicious Noble, we only clicked 4 clues before we found the correct Noble.
After killing the transformed Noble, ran to the door to Advisor Melandrus' room with the key but didn't open it.
Waited for the conversation to start (took about 15 seconds).
Achievement was awarded about 40 seconds later.

We got this message when we found the correct noble:

Suspicious Noble says: Now now, let's not be hasty Devun. Why don't you follow me so we can talk about this in a more private setting...

Timestamps were as follows:

- Killed Talixae Flamewreath (2nd Boss)
- Chose wrong Noble
- Found the correct Noble
- Killed the transformed Noble
- Conversation started
- Got the achievement

The conversation between Elisande and Melandrus:

Just got this without expecting it on a Mythic+2 run.

Deactivated all pylons with no sentries activating them.
Got the spy on the first try.
Ran to the door, immediately opened and entered the room to wait for boss, achievment popped as they were talking.

RP walking to the door/eavesdropping from outside the room is not necessary.

Today we got this achi by accident, after choosing THREE wrong spies. That's right, we accused three wrong npcs of being a spy and STILL got the achi.

Which leads me to believe that the only two things that affect this achi are:

1. Disabling beacons / not allowing an alarm
2. Time limit

To add more, we OPENED THE DOOR and waited inside the boss area until achi popped - so the "dont open door" or "rp walk" are all false.

You DO NOT have to guess the demon on the first try. We also did not speedrun it, took us over 30 minutes. Here is what my group did.

1. We killed most trash before the first boss. Including the Sentries. We also disabled all the beacons without any guard reaching them. This included all 3 pillars around the boss, before killing him.

2. We proceeded with the dungeon as normal.

3. After getting all the clues at the party, I guess the guy wrong. I also got kicked outside and stunned for a while.

4. My group found the right guy. I clicked on him, and guessed him right this time.

5. We followed him to the balcony and killed him.

6. We got the keys.

7. We ran (NOT rp walked) to the door, with me being slightly ahead. The other guys were discussing loot.

8. After few seconds with my face planted against the door (WITHOUT OPENING IT), and not immediately, the conversation has started. At first I thought we messed it up because the beginning sounds similar, but she ended up discussing certain matters with the Advisor. Right before it ended we all got the achievements.

So, after doing the complete process twice (very simple), both groups I did it with did not get the achievement. That is 10 people that did not get it. Killed all the sentries and deactivated all 5 pillars. Found the spy on the first try and the npc became the Doom Lord to kill for the keys. Looted the keys and waited outside the door for the short conversation to end (it wasn't 30 seconds even). Waited an extra minute even to see if it was just bugged. Finally opened the door, killed the boss and got no achieve. It is completely rng because we did everything perfectly twice in a row and didn't get anything.

So I think we found the missing trigger for this achievement.

In the wrong dialog she says something about enemys at the doorsteps.

We tried Court of stars several times last ID but we never got the achievement.

Then I realised that everyone I know got this achievement on the first day of the new weekly ID.

We did it today and we got it. (Maybe because today are not that many enemys before her doorstep since it is a new ID?)

We disabled all beacons and found the spy on the first try. No RP-Walk or anything.

I'm pretty sure that the only things you have to do are:

Clear the dungeon on the first day of the new ID

Disable all beacons

Additionally the minibosses before the second boss never shouted "Intruders are here" after we killed them.

I did this 9 times without success.
Then I did it 1 time in a Mythic +6 group and it procced. We did NOTHING different. We even got kicked out for choosing the wrong spy.

This IS rng based. Good luck hunting it.

Do instance However you want, just keep 1 sentry alive and you will get. Dropping Some Eaves

1. Leave 1 sentry alive.
2. Do whatever you want, slow or fast
3. Disable all beacons.
4. Don't have to guess the spy on first try.
5. Collect acheivement.

Basicly, do the instance as normal, poison if you want, disable all beacons (but dont kill all sentries patrolling)
Imagine you have hired guards, you call on the radio for them to report in.... none of them answer cause they all are dead. OFC something has happend. but if 1 answers that they havnt seen anything. Then all is good :D

Did this 5 times with killing all sentrys and disabling all beacons (ALL 5 failed) (the sentry to the left at start that you can skip, left him alive the 6th time) (was tank and purposly skipped him) and special dialogue triggerd and we all got the achievement.

Probably able to do this in same run as waiting for gordo, just dont kill 1 sentry (beacons prob wont matter if its Gordo signaling them, he dies anyways and so do the adds he pulls)

Can confirm that this achievement is not on a weekly lock out I tried multiple times this week and got it today.

What we did that helped was either one or two things:

a. Send one person in to do the clues , everyone else stayed outside by the woman and didn't get a disguise. Remember to guess correctly on the first try.

b. RP walked after the demon was killed. I was a little ahead of everyone else and stopped outside of the door. I didn't move or touch the door.

To get all the information I've gathered into one post. Hope this help anyone else.

- As always, deactivate all pylons before the first boss is engaged.
- Kill all 5 sentries before they reach their pylons.
- We used buffs found in the instance before the second boss on every run, so they have no importance.
- We did not RP walk.
- We did use abilities during the selection phase, so this has no importance.
- Our successful tactic (if it can even be called a "tactic") was to have everyone stay on the balcony after the fight. I as a mage took the keys and went invisible and ran back to the door and that triggered the correct dialogue.

I've done the instance a total of 37 times to get the achievement and tried a variety of tactics.
If the invisibility tactic doesn't work often enough, I would just suggest doing it on repeat until you get lucky.

Also, a nice way to "farm" this is to leave last boss alive and leave the dungeon for 30 minutes. This will soft reset the selection phase and you can do it again.

It is not RNG, and here is what you need to do.

1. Kill all sentries before they reach the beacons.

2. Deactivate all beacons yourself.

3. Kill Guard Captain Gerdo.

4. Kill Flamewreath normally.

5. Talk to ALL chatty rumormongers, even if you have a demon hunter or protestant paladin that could identify the spy. It is absolutely necessary to talk to all rumormongers.

6. Kill the demon on the terrace and loot the key.

7. Wait in front of the door until you get the achivement. If your conversation starts with something about vapid nobles, and then about thalyssra, then you should be fine.

I resetted the instance and tried the achievement several times during the week so you don't need a new ID. no need to slow walk or anything like that. Just the above mentioned points.

Got this achievement during a Mythic +5 run.

Didn't let any sentries reach the outposts
Disabled all outposts
Guessed the guest on the first try

Killed the demon grabbed the key and DIDN'T hesitate to open the door.
The conversation started before we got the door open and they continued talking while we were in the room with them (Little bit annoying tbh since it was a mythic+ run)

For clarification we DID wipe once during the mini bosses before the second boss when we pulled 2 at once so that doesn't have anything to do with the achieve.

After numerous attempts at this achievement, finally got it done with a Keystone level 5. The only difference in this encounter that I would see AS relevant is the time-frame, it took us 22 minutes at the designated door where the Encounter Dialogue took place.

The steps we took in that encounter is as follows:

Disabled all beacons.
No Sentries have had the chance to place an alert. (Although not all of them were killed, some were sapped and not agroed in the process, and some were ignored completely without engaging them at all)
Killed first boss without killing any of the trash around him, and used a rogue with alchemy to poison his flask before pulling him.
We have gathered some buffs along the way, the Crit buff, the movement speed (None resulted in alerts when triggered)
Used only Enforcers to draw out the adds from the second boss. (Since we have not triggered any buffs that caused alerts to allow them otherwise)
Identified the spy from first try. Picked up the key and went for the door without unlocking and stood for about 5 seconds. A different dialogue was triggered.

There have been a lot of speculation regarding this achievement. I hope this narrows down it's conditions.

Here's some MASSIVE info from a great GM that I spoke to yesterday after submitting a ticket saying that I've tried EVERYTHING and still can get this achiev. This should really help:

I had a look into your issue and I can understand the frustration with this achievement :(

The only advice I can give is that from what I can tell this is heavily RNG weighted and we have some unconfirmed comments of this not being able to be obtained the same week as "Waiting for Gerdo".

As of right now these are the only advice I can give on this achievement apart from submitting a bug report so the Developers can look into this further.

With that said I would like to thank you again for bringing your case of this bug to our attention, as you can imagine there may be somethings wrong with the launch of a new expansion but we are working as fast as possible to get all of these issues sorted :)

In testing and Beta phases of an expansion we strive to catch as many of these as possible but unfortunately, until we get the large volume of players we get at launch, some of these go unnoticed and I do apologies for this :(

After 17 runs our group finally got this HORRIBLE achievement. We didnt do anything differently tactic wise on the 17th run. The ONLY different thing we did was run it on Mythic+ instead of Mythic. Got our achievement on the first try in +.

This achi was driving me up a wall and so I made a video of one of our attempts to get it. In this video we do not get the achievement. But we used the EXACT same tactics in our mythic+ run and in there we got it on the first try.

I did this achievement last night in Court of Stars +2. Here is what we did:

Killed all the sentries
Disabled all of the beacons
Triggered the miniboss encounters with the injured citizen, JC statue and an Enforcer
Went inside as a group and guessed the spy on the second attempt.
Killed the dreadlord and ran (no RP walking) as usual to the final boss at which point the alternative dialogue started. Someone even opened the door while they were talking.

I've attempted this achievement on regular mythic difficulty 15-20 times, but this was my second try on mythic+.

I can confirm what you have to do:

Get at the Arcane Power Conduit and disable it with an engineer/goblin/gnome ( It will disable the arcane constructs).

Then get to the boss and you should get the achievement.

Oh and we also didn't let the sentries ring the alarm.

My Dropping Some Eaves was achieved during a Mythic+. Some of my friends and guild members earned theirs similarly. You obviously don't have to try for the achievement the same way but, to me, it seemed "easy" to earn after numerous failed attempts because everyone was rushing to push for a good timer.

I managed to help several other people earn their achievement by doing the same thing that helped me earn mine. I don't know if these are requirements or not, but hopefully these tips can help.

We didn't kill every sentry - only those that we aggroed along the way.
Disabled every beacon (during my first attempt, I completed Waiting for Gerdo and didn't get Dropping Some Eaves. I'm not sure if not disabling the beacons affects your chances).
Collected all five clues and chose the correct spy (based on other comments, it appears selecting the incorrect spy doesn't affect your chances).
I left the room and ran to the door to the last boss while the rest of the group handled the demon. Once someone looted the key, I straight away opened the door, the correct RP proceeded and everyone got Dropping Some Eaves!

I tested this method a second time during a regular mythic (killed the sentries, disabled the beacons, chose the correct spy and ran to the door while everyone dealt with the demon) and everyone in the group unlocked the achievement.

Made an account just to post this, I've been having so much trouble with this achievement that when I got it, I had to post it to try to help those who are suffering and not getting this achievement. I'm sorry in advance if this format or etiquette is incorrect, first time poster..

This achieve is ONLY related to your current remaining BUFFS. After failing miserably countless times, and trying literally everything possible, a guildmate told me to click off all remaining buffs. Elisande apparently hears your buffs/debuffs running out, and stops the RP required for the achievement. To make sure, I clicked off all my hots, my Bone Shield, our mage clicked off his his Ice Barrier, clicked off everything. One person went up to the door, and the rest of us stood dead still hoping this works. It did. The RP ensued and we got the achievement.

If anyone can confirm this on their next run(s), it'd be appreciated! Good luck!

Edit: to add further info for those who are interested:
-no, we didn't go after nor get the first achievement - we disabled all five beacons
-we wiped countless times due to having fun and screwing around in the instance so deaths don't seem to matter
-we did not get all the clues and half-assed guessed (correctly) on the first attempt, we did not rush to the door to hear the conversation
-we just clicked off everything as soon as the demon went down, we did not RP walk to the door, as soon as everyone had zero buffs, we just ran to the door and stood still.

This is purely rng based.Just got it today after trying over 10 times.I was in a mythic +5 but im not sure if doing mythic+ will improve the chances to trigger the conversation.And yes,we disabled the alarms before the 1st boss and got the spy on first try.

Tried this achievement for the first time yesterday and got it first try.

We killed every single Sentry, all the beacons were disabled BEFORE the first boss was pulled.
We all stood outside (with disguises ON) and our paladin tank went in and got the spy correct on his second turn.
We all then went inside after our paladin was already on the mini boss (not sure if this matters or not he just didn't tell us until he pulled it)
After the mini boss/demon was killed, I picked the keys up while the 4 others stayed in that room and STEALTHED to the door, let the conversation completely finish and the achievement popped up before unlocking.

Not sure if this is complete RNG or not, so goodluck.

today, my group got this achiev and we were trying to get it, it was not a random attempt

so, here's what we did (Detailed)

This was on a Regular Mythic.

1. we killed Duskwatch Sentry and actived the arcane beacons as soon as we could (we didn't save all 5 beacons to active them all at once, we just actived them one by one as we were killing npcs, sometimes even in combat)

i active All of the beacons, just in case. probably it doesn't matter who click them.

2. all arcane beacons were desactivated Before the first boss fight, (also, we didnt poison the bottle on Gerdo)

3. we called every Add on the next boss By Killing Felbound enforcers. not by clicking stuff.
- maybe here is the RNG part? cus on previus attempts to get this achiev, we killed enforcers and some of the screamed "intruders" or something like that.. also, the guy that the healer can help, screams "intruders" too (everytime, so we totally skip that guy). that's why we just killed Felbound Enforcers.

im not sure if that matters, but if the whole achiev goes around to reach last boss without being detected and some npc scream intruders.. it may screw your attempt.. maybe?

4. guess the spy on first try (dont know if true or not, but it's not hard to guess the guy on first try, so we just did it that way)

5. Dont open the door and got the achiev.

Maybe it isn't RNG. The difference when achieving the achievement is, that there is a special NPC in the last room. I did two pictures of it. If he is present, you get the achievement. I don't know if you can actually trigger him with any special routes / kills. We did nothing special, disabled only 2-3 towers. I only pushed with speed totem to the door to open it faster, while my team was still fighting the boss. After the door was open, and everyone was in the room, they got the achievement.

This NPC is actually a new Raidboss in Nighthold ( Spellblade Aluriel ).

Did this today on non-keystone mythic. Fourth attempt.

1. Disabled all beacons, killed all sentries before they reached beacons (including those running for beacons that had already been disabled).
2. Had a rogue but did NOT poison first boss.
3. Did not do any of the optional things that trigger red emote alerts prior to second boss (e.g., messing with bazaar goods, healing that injured civilian who runs off shouting)
4. Asked all questions at party, used Truthguard to be extra sure, got it right on first try
(FYI, it was a long-sleeved guy with hood on bottom floor - LH side, can't remember the last condition)
5. Got key, ran (not walked) to door, waited outside (did not open it)
6. Achievement speech occurred

On each of the previous runs someone from the group guessed wrong at the party and we did not get the achievement. However, we also did try interacting more with the environment on unsuccessful attempts (poisoning the vial, healing the civilian).

If there is RNG involved here (as it appears a GM suggested - see previous comments) I wonder if it has to do with which partygoer is randomly chosen to be the spy. The first time we did everything the "right" way the achievement popped.

Hope this helps those of you still in need of this achievement.

Hi guys,

I've just realized it is not actually RNG based. Based on all the comments I've read we've just tried a tactic which worked first time. Basically what you need to do is:

1.Kill Sentry and disable all beacons
2.Guess the demon in the room before last boss
3. Drag the demon to the door without opening the door and kill it.

The idea is to assist the conversation before it starts. So when we killed the demon we had like 5 seconds of downtime, silence basically and then she started talking. So I believe most of you got there after the conversation start or something but we got it first time we've tried with that tactic.

I repeat ! Do not open the door, just listen. Enjoy and give feedback if it works for you !

Throwing this out there, i ran this many times and done every tinfoil hat method under the sun. They say it's RNG, and maybe it is. But the run i finally got it on, we killed all the sentries hella quick, before they even got close to the beacon. We then deactivated all 5 beacons before pulling the 2nd boss. After, we guessed right on first attempt(having a prot pally made it extra easy and comforting.)

We casually walked up to the door after the demon, we didn't race up or anything, we got there after Thalryssa finished her dialogue, and then we got the achievement.

This has been a recount of my experience.

Just done it and have some patent that might work. Not sure if every condition must be fulfilled, but I have done CoS 7 times earlier and ALWAYS something from major condition wasn't done right and I didn't get achievement until today.

Major conditions:
- don't raise an alarm (obvious)
- disable all pillars
- kill second boss after clearing his Demonic Emissaries one by one
- don't enter party until you get disguise (sometimes people forget it)
- guess demon on first try (obvious)
- walk to the last door to begin Ellisande conversation, but do not open until dialogue ends (achievement pops then)

Minor conditions (I bet they don't count, but we did that way):
- kill all sentries (including one standing on the door before the bridge)
- don't poison first boss
- don't interact anything before second boss (bags, civilians, etc.)
- kill all (4) Felbound Enforcers
- person who talks to the demon loots the key

Let everybody know if it works, it will confirm if it's really RNG-based or not, because I've included all variables that can count. Good luck!

I believe my group has found out what you have to do to get the achievement.

We were doing CoS runs for this achievement as a 3-man group (Prot Pala, Havoc DH, Ret Pala). We finally got the achievement after doing the following:
-Kill all sentries before they raise an alarm,
-Disable all beacons BEFORE engaging 1st boss (Patrol Captain Gerdo) - we also poisoned his flask,
-Then we did nothing special before 2nd boss,
-Got all 5 clues and guessed the spy in the 1st try,
-After killing the spy, we went to the boss and stood at the top of the stairs towards the last boss, but DID NOT open the door,
-We waited until the RP played out between Elisande and Melandrus and then opened the door.

I hope this works for others as well. Good luck!

I came back to write a description of my experience hunting for this achievement. For many this will be their last achievement for Glory of the Legion Hero as it does have RNG based qualities. This did take me 4 attempts to get it, varying every time, and requires the instance to be on Mythic difficulty. You can complete it more than once a week by resetting the instance. You will no longer get loot for any boss kills. Although, you will get artifact power on the last boss. The amount of attempts to get this achievement will vary for everyone, I'm sure. I will let everyone know how our final attempt went and the following steps we did to achieve this:

Step 1: Deactivate all 5 Arcane Beacons (Towers) Note: For the 3 next to the boss, you can deactivate them without pulling a thing.
Step 2: Kill all Duskwatch Sentries that are on the path. There should be about 4 of them all right around the beginning before the bridge to the boss. (Could be 5 not sure). Do not let any sentries activate ANY alarms. This will fail the achievement.
Step 3: Kill first boss as normal. We tanked him by the bridge.
Step 4: Progress onwards and kill the second boss.
Step 5: When the second boss dies, MAKE SURE everyone grabs the disguise from the lady in the middle of where the boss was stationed.
Step 6: Everyone goes in gets all five clues, find the spy and everyone follows to kill the mini-boss demon. We did not guess on first attempt, if that eases things.
Step 7: Have everyone stay on the min-boss corpse (Keys not picked up yet). 1 Person goes to the door (warrior tank in our case). Anyone waiting on the corpse pickups the keys for the door after the person gets to the door. Dialog starts.

If there is any other dialog but this one, open the door and try again later. It is based on luck since it is a Random Number Generator (RNG) doing all the work in the background. The dialog required is:

"Elisande says: You throw a party for vapid nobles even as rebels leave corpses strewn about our streets?
Advisor Melandrus says: I assure you, Grand Magistrix, the situation is being adressed. It will be a simple matter to track down a few random dissidents and--
Elisande says: Random? Do you not finding striking that each body found is decorated with a dusk lily? The same flower adored by Thalyssra?
Advisor Melandrus says: I... I'm not sure what you're getting at, Grand Magistrix.
Elisande says: Then let me be plain. You bungled your assassination of Thalyssra. In fact, she is very much alive, and is...
Advisor Melandru says: Impossible! My guards would never permit such an intrussion!
Elisande says: Yet another failure, Melandrus. Conside this your chance to correct it. Dispose of these outsiders. Imust return to the Nighthold"

1. Disable all 5 beacons and dont allow sentry go to them.
2. Tank boss on the bridge after kill him do nothing, wait when one man go out and said on red something about that u are to loud and u have to be quiet. Just dont rush door before he dont go out yell to be quiet (red color) and give him to go in
3. on 2 nd boss is normal but dont use special additives to pull bosses just kill 3 adds.
4. after 2 boss u have to get disguise(EVERYONE BEFORE GO IN), dont rush without disguise.
5. U need to take spy on one shot. Thats why, DH is best choise: get 5 clues and DH have to use spectral sight to see spy.
6. Then u have to kill this spy take keys and stay before doors.
7. If conversation is diference but it is this same u have do something wrong.
tip : do it slow and all together dont rush everywhere

JUST DID IT HERE'S HOW WE RAN IT:

We killed nearly all mobs. Stuff like the inquisitor on 2nd boss etc. We didn't fail any patroles, did all 5 beacons. Over all we did it carefully and slow.

We had a Demon hunter do the spy part. We had our healer stay by the door to last boss, the 4 of us just nuked key boss after DH was done.

1st try we failed, then 2nd we did it....!@#$ this achievement ^^

Hey all!

So believing this achievement is RNG based and after farming Court of Stars (non-key / +s) for many times and not getting it, I decided to read up on strategies on how people got it and try different things.

This is what I did and got 2/2 of this achievement back to back:
- Kill all Duskwatch Sentry before they get a chance to ring the alarm.
- Destroy all 5 beacons before first boss.
- Guess spy on first try (From the replies, it looks like you do NOT need to guess the spy on first try, but I still suggest you do it quickly.)
*** While we were killing the spy demon quickly, I ran straight to the door where the final boss is before the demon is dead (around 30%) and stood there ready to open the door while 4 other party members finish it off and pick up the key right away.***

Now I know some people have gotten it without the first 3 steps like not destroying all beacons and guessing spy on first try. I'm not sure the last step which I emphasized with *** has been proven wrong. I did get 2/2 with it, so try this. This definitely needs more testing with or without the other steps and let me know if it works out.

Maybe I just got lucky both times and it is pure RNG after all, but it's still hard to believe this achievement is 100% RNG. I just wanted to share it since my guildie and I have been banging our heads on the desks trying to get this. I hope it will help others! Good luck.

So I tried this achievement today with my guildmates. Got it on the 3rd run. Here's what we did:
First attempt
1. We killed all 5 sentries, but one died when he was about to cast his summon next to disabled beacon.
2. We disabled all 5 beacons.
3. Flask at fountain was poisoned for first boss, but he died before he finished drinking it anyway.
4. We got almost all buffs spread along the map.
5. We pulled and killed one demon along with 2nd boss. Other 2 were pulled using Enforcers.
5. All clues, first attempt.
6. All of us nuked demon on terrace and then fast to the door.
7. Failed.

Second attempt
1. We killed all 5 sentries properly.
2. We deactivated all 5 beacons.
3. Flask at fountain was poisoned for first boss, we let him drink it.
4. We got almost all buffs spread along the map.
5. We pulled and killed one demon along with 2nd boss. Other 2 were pulled using Enforcers.
5. All clues, first attempt.
6. One person stayed at the door while others killed demon on terrace. Then fast to the door.
7. Dialog started when rest of group arrived.
9. Failed.

Third attempt
1. We killed all 5 sentries properly.
2. We deactivated all 5 beacons.
3. Flask wasn't poisoned this time, we let 1st boss get the buff.
4. We skipped all buffs.
4. All demons were killed away from boss. Each time Enforcer was used for pull.
5. We got only 3 clues, first attemp (yay for Truthguard!)
6. All of us nuked demon on terrace. Then person who got key went with RP walk slighty ahead of rest. One person stayed at terrace.
7. Success!

After those runs and reading comments I have 3 theories why 2 first runs failed:
1. Flask was poisoned (medium chance).
2. We got buffs (very small chance - afair when I did it with pug some months ago, we got some buffs).
3. Last demon was pulled along with 2nd boss (high chance).

I hope this will help other get this achievement.

Alright after finally finishing this damn thing today I decided to add my own two cents in hope that it will help others.

So we run CoS+3

-Disabled all the beacons
-Killed 4 out of 5 sentries
-Guessed spy on first try
-Tanked spy in the entrance of the terrace then I grabbed the key and run alone toward the door while using invisibility potion and opening door. And what do you know it actually worked. Now I am not sure if it was thanks to the potion or RNGods were smiling at me but for those still pinning after this damn thing hope it helps and good luck.

(After 7 hours of failing to get this achievement on mythic) Ran 1 Mythic-Keystone, breaking all beacons first, spotting the demon accurately and got it. Do the steps on a mythic keystone and you'll get it.

Got the achievement today after weeks of farming.
We destroyed all the towers.
Killed all sentries.
Did not poison first boss (When he dies normally you get a Suramar Citizen yelling about a party)
Killed the second boss with 0 buffs.
Had all group members talk to all chatty nobles(Had 4 people in the group)
Guessed the spy on the first time and killed the demon infront of the boss door.
Not sure if it was a RnG blessing or not.

OUR ACHIEVEMENT / SOLUTION

First - Destroy every beacon between the start and the end of the dungeon. Should be around five of them total. Also kill all the sentries.
Second - Do not interact with any intractable items throughout the dungeon. Only progress through the killing of the enemies to pull bosses before flameweaver.
Third - Properly guess the spy on your FIRST TRY. Do not guess wrong.
Fourth - Place one player on the balcony on which the spy will come and spawn, place another player at the door to the last boss fight. Kill the spy.
Fifth - DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR. IN ORDER TO GET THE ACHIEVEMENT, STAND AND LISTEN TO THE ENTIRE CONVERSATION. DO NOT OPEN THE LAST DOOR UNTIL ELISANDE DETECTS YOU AFTER HE DIALOGUE.

NOTES -
IT IS NOT TIMED BASE
IT IS NOT ABOUT OPENING THE DOOR FAST - THE EXACT OPPOSITE
If this works for others, then it is not RNG based.

I understand that there are a lot of upvoted, green posts saying that this achievement is pure RNG, but I can confirm 100% that it is not. I have just discussed with a guildie and witnessed him help many people in our guild get this on the first try. Whenever he is in the group and we are doing mythic + in Court of Stars we also always get the right dialogue as well.
He is a protection paladin and has dealt with deactivating all beacons before engaging the first boss. Also before deactivating each beacon, we made sure to kill the sentries without letting them get close to the beacons. We poisoned the first boss and continued as normal to the second boss. Before entering the room with the spy, we all made sure to equip the costume and revealed 2-3 clues and the paladin's shield revealed the correct spy on the first try. After revealing the spy and killing the demon, we did open the door, just as Elisande started the proper dialogue.
I also want to add that throughout the entire dungeon, nobody has ever died.
People can get very confused about this achievement; however, it is not RNG, just requires a perfect run. Hope this clears some doubts! Happy hunting!

Just got it with 4 friend . Remember , it's not base on time , not need to rush

- Deactive all tower before the first boss
- Don't poison the first boss
- Have a DH or Prot Paly to track demon , so your group can found him on the first try
- Open the gate and wait for achievement pop up after they finish RP

Hi friends. I've combed this page looking for more concrete information on this vague achievement, including talking with a GM who quoted that "it does seem that there is a hint of randomness in there".

The only thing that is consistent with every person getting the achievement is this one thing:

Deactivate all 5 beacons without letting a Sentry cast Sound Alarm or letting the boss cast Signal Beacon with active beacons.
(Patrol Captain Gerdo will cast Signal Beacon regardless, upon reaching 75% health)

My only theory is that if they activate the beacons, they send a signal to the Grand Magistrix Elisande and she knows that there are intruders in the instance.

Proof debunking other theories:
This comment and quite a few others debunk the "getting spy on the first try" theory.
This comment shows that it's not related to a speedy run or poisoning/not poisoning Gerdo.
This Youtube video shows that it doesn't matter if you open the door too early.
This counterpoint Youtube video shows that opening the door and being inside of the room is not a requirement either.

If you did disable the five beacons and didn't get the achievement like me a handful of times, the rest is again, down to "randomness".

The correct dialogue will begin with:

Now this is my story. It's really rng-based achievement.

1. We didn't deactivate 5th beacon, someone pulled the boss, we died. Then we killed boss with poison.
2. We used traps on demons.
3. Guessed spy on the first try, cause i'm a prot paladin.
4. Suddenly right dialogue has started, i stopped my party from opening the door.

I don't know what to think, i tried all advices from comments earlier with no results.

Hi!

If it's RNG based or not, can't say. But me and the missus went in and 2-Man the dungeon on Mythic (Warlock 908 + Hunter 909 at time we got the achievement).

We followed some tips by the people that has commented in this section.

We didn't allow a single Sentry to reach the Pillars to sound the alarm.
We disabled all 5 pillars.
We did not poison the bottle for the first boss, so we killed him the regular "standard" way.
We spoke to all 5 dudes that gives a hint of what the spy has, then made sure to "first-try" the spy, which we did.
We picked up the key and went to the door before the last boss, we didn't click it. We just stood there and they started talking the conversation that is needed for the achievement.

PS: We wiped 2-3x times while killing trash, so it's not time based at least.
PSS: We are both gnomes :)

Despite the talk about this achievement being RNG based, its not. After running Court of Stars on heroic with a tank paladin, I decided to run it again on Mythic for this achievement. Paladins have a talent or shield that allows them to see demons. Demon Hunters have Spectral Sight which they could use after all 5 clues are up, to see which one is the demon. I was specifically looking for one or the other do help us with this achievement. Found a DH who had done this before, and was happy to help us with it.

Once the demon/spy was found, everyone except myself followed him to kill him and get the key except myself. (DPS was good enough that we didn't need all of us there, and we all agreed to it ahead of time.) I stayed near the door to the last boss. Once the demon was down and the key obtained, I stepped up to the door without opening it. The others in the group soon joined me. The new RP began. Once it ended, we got the achievement, and I opened the door. The boss went down fast.

As a side note, if you want to get Waiting for Gerdo, do it in a separate run. The strategy for that one is counter to this one.

This IS RNG based , at least its either RNG based or bugged. Ive done this achievement on mythic , mythic +1 all the way through to +13 I have cleared all sentries and all sentry towers , Guessed the spy correct first try and guessed it wrong once/twice/three/four times just to try and see if there is a pattern. Ive tried it by using none of the Triggers for the adds on Talaxea and i've done it using all of them , I've done it using a combination of each as well. I have run this dungeon over 20 times under perfect and imperfect conditions. There is literally no correct way to do this. May the odds be ever in your ferver.

The worst part is blizzard refuses to elaborate to even confirm or deny this is RNG.

An achievement is not an achievement if its 100% luck based or broken.

Just got this achievement in a random heroic after following every tactic listed above, to no avail.

Since it was not a mythic, we did not go for the Gerdo achieve, and did not disable all the beacons.
We burned Gerdo, moved upstairs, cleared some trash, and downed Talixae.
A Ret pally in the group specc'd Prot and found the spy, but that didn't matter, I don't think. We'd had enough clues and another party member was standing next to the right NPC when he activated his shield.
Burned down the spy after the disguise was dropped, and - here's the key - we opened the door and interrupted the start of the conversation between Elisande and Melandrus to trigger the achievement.

I'm fairly certain you have to be in the room at the beginning of the conversation.

I got this on first attempt so I do not think it is RNG based if you do it right.

The main thing to do is stun and kill the 5 sentries before the 1st boss before they can get to a tower and sound the alarm, and must also disable all the 5 towers, before killing the 1st boss.

The 1st sentry is at the start of the area just outside the entrance door before the 1st bridge.
***The 2nd sentry is patrolling down below on the left immediately after the 1st bridge,
take the 1st left down the stairs after the 1st bridge to where he patrols.
Note: This sentry is probably missed by most people.***
The 3rd sentry is on the right just after the bridge.
The 4th sentry is at the far side standing in an entrance way.
Th 5th sentry is also near the 4th sentry, patrolling up and down the ramp.
Make sure you disable all the 5 towers along the way, 3 before the boss and 2 at the boss.
We cleared all the trash near the boss also.

We killed the 3 Enforcers to pull the 3 elites away from the 2nd boss and then killed 2nd boss.

We all got a disguise, got all clues and then used my tank paladin Truthguard weapon,
which glows when next to a demon, to quickly find the group the spy was in.
Got the spy on the 1st try by using the clues, followed the spy, killed the demon, got the key,
all went to the door, waited outside the door, got the correct RP dialog 1st time,
and got the achiev without a problem.

Make sure you get all 5 sentries and all 5 towers before the 1st boss and it should work ok imho.

So..after reading all the comments, watching many videos on how to do this achievement and running Court of Stars on Mythic and Mythic+ just to get it, believing it's just about luck, I said to try it on Heroic difficulty as some people mentioned. I post this comment at 23/08/2017, patch 7.2.5.
In order to get this achievement, WHICH IS NOT RNG BASED, you must do the following:
- Set difficulty to Heroic;
- Kill all the sentries, deactivate all 5 pillars before Gerdo (first boss);
- Poison the potion that Gerdo will use during the encounter. (What I believe is that prolonging the fight with the first boss creates a lot of noise and this alerts Grand Magistrix. What happened to me is that after I killed him a NPC was yelling to keep the quiet because they were trying to have a party. Maybe this happens all the time and is the first time I notice it. However, try to be as stealthy as possible);
- If you are a demon hunter or a paladin is easy to guess the spy on first try. As demon hunter gather the 5 clues then use Spectral Sight in order to see the demon;
- After killing the spy, grab the key and wait in front of the door, the conversation will start and then you get the achievement.

To mention is that, if you die along the way it doesn't count towards the achievement. The whole dungeon is a mission to infilitrate and assasinate and you must act like it.
Also pay close attention to the yelling that will be after you kill Gerdo. Maybe that assures you that you haven't been spotted yet.

This works on heroic even though tooltip says Mythic. After so many m+ runs, I tried to solo heroic as 930 bm hunter.

I never realized there actually was 5th sentry out of the way on the stairs to the left. That was the only difference I can think of compared to my previous tries. I disabled 5 beacons, killed 5 sentries. I died couple times, so dying is ok. I did NOT(could not) poison the first boss. I guessed the spy on first try and got the achievement.

However I still think this achievement is random because with a different account, I got this achievement during a m+ run where we did not disable all the beacons nor killed all the sentries. And I just saw many people get it in m+ runs. That was during legion launch though, maybe they did fix it so 5 sentries/beacons work now

Just got this achieve after a few different attempts using different strats on here.
CAN CONFIRM YOU CAN GET IT ON HEROIC. I went and did a duo with my Disc Priest friend.
What we did to get it was:
1. Kill all 5 sentries (we missed that sneaky one on the left stairs near the first beacon).
2. Turned off all 5 beacons.
3. Killed Gerdo and didn't poison him.
4. Killed the Enforcers instead of using professions and breaking things.
5. Guessed the spy on the first try.
6. Picked up the key and waited at the door for the dialogue.

Other attempts we didn't kill the sneaky sentry on the stairs, clicked the door straight away, or poisoned Gerdo, and we didn't get the achieve.

I just completed this achievement few minutes ago in heroic mode
I soloed as a protection warrior with the healing bracers and really good gear. These are the steps I followed:
1.Make sure that you kill ALL 5 sentries. I killed 4 and went to double check, and I found one of the sentries that was patrolling down the stairs towards the docks. Kill all 5.
2.Deactivated all 5 beacons as I cleared adds around them.
3.Killed the first boss without poisoning his flask, let him drink it and gain the benefits.
4.Killed the enforcers to lure out the 2nd boss's adds and didn't use any professions or instakill mechanics. (by professions I mean those buffs that you gain by clicking on stuff before the 2nd boss)
5.Obviously killed 2nd boss after that.
6.Talked to all chatty guests, and got ALL the clues for the spy.
7.Looked at all guests for about 10 minutes to make sure they match the criteria and got the spy on the FIRST try. Take your time with it and make sure you don't fail it.
8.Killed the dreadlord on the balcony, took his key and went to the door. DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR!
9.Stood behind door and waited a few seconds before the achievement appeared.
10.Profit.

I don't really want to ask for vote ups, but this way is a 100% sure way to do it and it would be helpful for other achievement hunters if this would be the first comment they see.
This achievement is NOT RNG at all.

Not so sure it's completely RNG anymore...did it twice today, once solo and a second time with a guildie, on heroic.

We killed all Sentry before they got to the alarm, disarmed all the alarm towers, then killed the first boss like normal.

On the second boss, we could only get two buffs, killed the three boss adds, then the boss.

Got the hidden demon guy on the first try, and then at the door we got the long speech.

Patch 7.3 on February 16 2018.

I got this achievement SOLO on HEROIC difficulty.

After a friend who I trust as competent and honest told me he got it on Heroic running the instance on an alt I decided to try because I can solo heroic easily and quickly.

I entered the instance and killed the sentries without allowing them to set off an alarm. I disabled the alarms. I continued to the party and collected all 5 clues and then guessed the spy on my first try. I killed him and walked to the door, I did NOT open the door. I just stood outside it and let the dialogue proceed. At the end of the dialogue I got the achievement. Was my first try on heroic and alone but about my 5th try overall, all previous tries had been in groups on low Mythic difficulties.

I want to emphasize here that I got this on Heroic because I think that's a big deal to people still working on achievements this late in the expansion because you should be able to solo most heroics on characters with decent gear and a little self-sustain and being able to spam it solo is so much easier than finding groups that want to do it. It might even be possible to do it on normal (some non-combat achievements can be done on normal such as "you used to scrawl me in your felt tome" in BRH which I solo'd on normal repeatedly to get all the pages) but I did it on heroic so I can't speak to anything below that.

Alright, pretty sure I've got this figured out after seeing so much confusion in other comments. I doubted RNG. Got it our 2nd try.

We just did it on Mythic.
Kill all sentries without them setting off an Arcane Beacon.
Disable all Arcane Beacons before engaging Patrol Captain Gerdo so he doesn't set off an Arcane Beacon.
Correct spy guess first try (no hurry).
One player immediately ran to doorway once Spy revealed, while others kill Spy Demon (don't open door to Elisande). Then the rest of the group ran to me behind the door, then boom, achievement popped.

This kinda makes sense if you think about the context of the achievement itself. Our first try we failed, did the above except I opened the door immediately.

I heard new text/conversation between Grand Magistrix Elisande and Advisor Melandrus that I hadn't heard before, then bing, achievement.

After all this achivement might be big RNG here is what i tried and how i got it:

- 1st of all followed the previous guides killing all the duskwatch

- 2nd i disabled all beacons before pulling first boss let him to get buff etc

- 3rd killed all the 2nd boss adds normally and didnt use any skill specializations.

- 4th guessed the spy demon multiple times with out casting out or in. As paladin used truthguard to point out right one pretty fast. Sometimes took noble addvice sometimes didnt.

What i made different on the run i got the achievement was that killed only one duskwatch (one in the middle of the bridge) Rest i just cc:d with repentance. Thou later on though that could have get past him without killing easily.

As paladin repentance is your only viable cc that doesnt make duskwatch do any alarm. If you attack them at the moment ever with 957 you cannot singleshot them down even on hc which is where i ran.

And last i did talk all the chatty noble at the party in the run i got it Not sure thou does it make any difference.

Guys I have contacted a GM about this, he said he could only tell me that it was indeed RNG based, but did not comment on other stuff like disabling beacons, killing sentries, etc. But anyway, I got the achievement later on, and here's how;

What my group did was, we disabled 5 beacons and killed the sentries, BEFORE pulling the first boss. Moving on, we killed the second boss and went into the party to find the spy and we did that on the first try. One of us was waiting around the big door to the final boss while we were killing the spy, and after the spy dreadlord was dead, the conversation began.

If your RNG checks out, you hear a different conversation than usual between the advisor and Elisande. If you hear the conversation starting with the advisor saying 'Must you leave so soon Grand Magistrix?' that means the RNG did not trigger and you need to try again.

I still dont know if disabling beacons, killing sentries and one-shotting on the spy were necessary but since I got the achievement, they might worth a shot.

Soloed on Heroic with ease.
Got 5 beacons down without allowing sentry to access, Then killed first boss
Managed to get Spy on first go (Paladin Protection Artiact will glow when you are nearby)
Then pulled the boss to the door and killed him, looted the key and waited for dialogue to finish (did NOT open the door)

After 20+ runs it appears that the trigger event is killing all 5 sentries: There is one around the docks that is easily missed.
You can also do this on heroic

EDIT: No longer need the world quest to be up. Have been fixed. Just do the "perfect run" and you will get it. Have tested it.

So after reading a lot of the comments here and tried all of them. I landed in a group with a russian player. He decided to check the russian Wowhead for leads.

The achievement is linked to the world quests in suramar!

I ran CoS 20 or so times killing all 5 sentrys, destroying all 5 beacons before pulling boss. Finding Spy on first attempt with no luck.
I also tried going without destroying any of the beacons. Destroying them during the boss fight etc etc. Nothing worked.

I came back the next day when one of the world quests the russians was talking about was up. Got the achievement 2/2 runs. Gon experiment a few more times after posting this.
Edit: Done the instance 4 more times.
Once without destroying the beacons, achievement failed.
Once without finding spy on first attempt, achievement failed.
twice doing the "perfect run" and the conversation popped both runs.

I did the exact same thing as I did the day before. The only difference was the World Quest.

So the world quests the russians mention are as follows:
Sick of the Sycophants.
Consolidating Power.
Unspeakable Collaborators.
Stelleris Shakedown

I had Sick of the Sycophants up when I did the run.

I need to do some more testing before confirming anything. And if you have gotten it without the WQs up let me know.

Run down of my 2 runs getting the achievement. I did it on heroic. once in a team and once solo.
Kill all 5 sentrys.
Destroy all 5 beacons before pulling boss. (I let him drink his potion, dont know if this effects anything)
Find spy on first attempt.
Did one run with the door closed and one with the door open, same conversation.

Last Edit: I've now run it 6 times. Every perfect run the achievement popped. It is NOT RNG You must do the perfect run with atleast one of the world quests up!

Ok, just soloed this achievement as a Rogue. I can't tell if the achievement is RNG or not, but I got it on the first time I tryed soloing it. It was also not the first time I tried, only the first time solo.

Here's what I did:

You can get it on NORMAL MODE too.
Before pulling the first boss, DISABLE ALL 5 BEACONS. Kill or CC the sentries if needed.
Do not interact with anything, just kill the demons and pull the second boss.
Get the spy right on first try.
Kill the spy, smack your face at the door but do not open it.
You should (hopefully) get the achievement.

Some details about step 3. On the second boss "room" there are lots of interactibles around. Not sure if they matter, but when I tried to heal the wounded guy, he fled screaming "INTRUDERS!" so I guess that also matters. I reset it just in case, so I don't know what would be the outcome.

Between the first and the second boss there is a building. If you walk around in stealth, you will not alert the citizens inside it. Not mandatory to get this achievement as I did alert some of them, but I thought it was neat detail they've added.

Also there was a comment saying you need certain world quests to be up, I had no world quests up for CoS and none of the Suramar WQ had the names mentioned in it.

The "right way to do it" as the GM said, is to diable all 5 beacons before pulling the first boss and without the alarm being sounded. Then you get the achievment!

Following these steps will increase the likelihood of you getting it the first time.
Our extensive testing suggests this has a 100% success rate if correctly executed while the required prerequisites are met.

This has been tested through 40 consecutive runs, and has since been retested spread out throughout a week's time.
All runs failed despite doing "perfect" runs every time, until this was tested while one of the below World Quests were up. We observed that when one of the World Quests were active the achievement would always pop, provided the runs were "perfectly" executed without mistakes.

Steps for our observed 100% success rate:

It is REQUIRED that one of these World Quests are up before attempting this.
As long as you know one of these World Quests are up on any character with them unlocked, it doesn't matter which character you do this achievement on.

Enter the instance on Mythic. Heroic reportedly also works, but Mythic is recommended as Blizzard may correct this in the future.
Kill all 5/5 Duskwatch Sentries. There is one patrolling the docks that you are likely to miss. Make sure they do NOT trigger the alarm when you engage them.
And disable all 5/5 Arcane Beacons before engaging first boss. These are big glowing pillars and are hard to miss.
Kill the first boss, Patrol Captain Gerdo. Whether if he drinks or not is 100% irrelevant. I did not test whether if poisoning his drink affects this, but just don't do it and you should be good.
Move on to the next area and kill 3 Felbound Enforcers. Each time you kill 1 the boss will send out one of her personal bodyguards. Kill the bodyguard and move on to the next enforcer. Rinse and repeat until the boss is out of bodyguards, and then proceed with killing the boss, Talixae Flamewreath.
Talk with Ly'leth Lunastre before entering the party to get your disguise. If you don't you will be kicked out and that is the equivalent of a wrong guess on the spy.
Speak with all 5/5 Chatty Rumormongers and note down their clues (addons like BigWigs and DBM should simplify this for you). When you have all 5 clues take your time and find the spy based on the given criteria. It is crucial that you get the spy on your 1st attempt! Guessing wrong will decrease your chance of the achievement dialogue to proc, but it will still be possible.
Talk to the spy, and if correct, they will ask you to follow them to a quiet place. Once attackable go ahead and kill the demon and pick up the key it drops.
Walk over to the big door before last boss and the achievement dialogue should trigger. Once they've finished talking Dropping Some Eaves will unlock.
If the dialogue has started it is 100% irrelevant whether if you open the big door or not. Opening it will not spoil the achievement.

Soloed this achievement on my Shaman 11/07/2018, easy peasy even for a crappy OS.

After about 10 attempts, I finally managed to narrow down the list of criteria for this achievement.

For desprate ppl, I hope following these steps will end your Totally Spies torment;

1. Focus on killing all 5 Duskwatch Sentries first, ignore beacons untill done killing.,
When you kill the Sentires make sure they dont reach the Beacons, or the achievement fails.
I used the notification in chat, to keep track of the number of Sentries I had killed.
Smth about the sentry having spotted you. Has an image of a bell in front of it, but that could also be cus of Elv UI.

2. Deactivate all 5 beacons in any order of preference, I just started from the beginnning and worked my way back to the first boss.

Perhaps its possible to kill the Sentries and and deactivate the beacons in a different order. I however prefered to do it systematic by killing the sentries all 5 and afterwards deactivate alll of the beacons. When done with the beacons,its time to deal with the Boss.

3. Nuke the Boss down at a steady paste and allow the boss to transition. He will take a potion or smth and will get some buff. Once he got the buff I nuked him down.
However I doubt this effects the eaves drop achievement, just to make sure he wont bug out on you.

4. Just walk into the next area and look for Enforcer mobs, they were automaticly shown as yellow dots on my map. Just a hint, dont try tanking this boss, shes a true truck and hurts pretty bad.
Just kill one enforcer, wait for the boss to send one of her pets. In case she comes running to the scene her self, do NOT kill her. This couldve been the only reason I did not get my achievement, as I did get the achievement the run after this one. Just keep on killing an enforcer a time untill all her pets are dead, I already had them dead on the first 3 goes as she only sent her pets this time. Its not suuuper hard.

When you encounter the boss after killing her pets, she also saying smth like Ill do it myself. Which I hadn't seen before and also seemed to me like a confirmation, that something got crossed off the list.

5. Lastly there are always 5 Nightfallen with a single clue about a spy at the party. You need all the information they profide, so write down or remember all 5 clues. The NPCs with clues have a dialogue cloud above their head and refer to one of the brighted NPCs. The clue is usually a single gearpiece, colour of a gearpiece, equipment for example a pouch and the gender.

Any combination could be present, if theres no gender clue you'll just have to inspect some more NPC's. No worry there is no time limit here. So take your time and enjoy the party. Pretty certain of this as I afked for 5-10 minutes during the run, but did get the achievement.
There is only one NPC that meets all the 5 requirements, so honestly it shouldnt be hard. Never happened to me that I chose the wrong spy. Chosing correct spy on first attempt it an absolute must and requirements for the achievement. Choose wrong and the achiement will have failed.

Again there is no time limit, so read well. Some clues can be tricky, like; She hates wearing gloves, this means that she is NOT wearing them either. Since I thought this could also be interpreted as the guest having heard the spy compain about having to wear gloves, after all cant leave finger prints right. Chosing wrong will teleport you outside of the building where the party is being held, if that happends you can walk walk and reset.

6 Walk upstairs with the Nightfallen that will transform into a demon once outside on the balcony. I slowly pulled him backwards while continuing to dps him. Untill I finished him off while already hugging the wall. Then grab the keys the demon drops and just rub your body against the door in a Shakira and Beyonce like way, just to be sure.
At this point I just leaned back in my chair and prayed to RNGsus. After the dialogue ended I got rewarded with the achievement and then I opened the door. I guess you can finish off the demon, but youre pretty much done at this point. Congrats, I hope.

P.s. regarding the WQ influence specculation, I did not have any WQ active during the time I spent working on this achievement.
Im 99,9% certain that if you work through these steps systematicly, that you will be awarded this achievement.

Hope I didnt leave out any important details and you may soon be rewarded 10 more juicy achievement points.

10/11/2018: Done while World Quest: "Court of Stars: Bring Me The Eyes" was up.

Killed all 5 sentries while doing the first two beacons.

Finished last 3/5 beacons before engaging the boss (with few mobs).

Slow kill on first boss, he took his potion at 20% health (maybe not mandatory but i wanted to be extra safe).

Killed all 3 Felbound Enforcers, one by one by baiting them, as usual (i've interacted with items on the ground wondering if they were useful in some sort, they were not.).
I've done a run a while ago killing Talixae with an add when a World Quest was active and got no achievement so my guess is that this is actually a mandatory step.

Killed second boss alone.

Took the disguise, 5/5 Chatty Rumormongers, spy first try (i took my time).

Kill miniboss, loot key, went to the door without opening it, waited a couple seconds in confusing silence, new dialogue came up.

I found out that after killing 1st boss, script of Suramar Citizen changed.
If you do not satisfied the achievement, Suramar Citizen above the stair says "How do you get here? "
* I'm not english WOW player so I translated in my ways.
but If you done it quite well then he YELL " Be quiet, we are going to have a party! "

This achievement can do it on Heroic, so it will be so much easier checking the citizen's words because he is just after the 1st boss and you can just reset after killing the 1st boss.

I did it killing 5 sentries , disabled 5 beacons several times but it seems that conditions are RNG

2 main things you must know before attempting to do this:

1) Can be done on Heroic. I literally just did it there.

2) The time before you pick the keys and get to the door is CRUCIAL. I can't stress that enough. If you are too slow, you wont get achieve, regardless of how many wardens you have killed or how fast did you caught the spy. Fortunately for you and me, Dreadlord can be kited all the way to the door and it will not ruin the achieve - checked by me.

P.S. Having active quests inside the dungeon does not affect it, you also dont have to do any quests outside.

Just something I noticed today when I got the achievement on Heroic.
When I killed the enforcers none of them yelled "Intruders are here".
Reset to Mythic and again none yelled like they did on all my failed runs.
I did everything from posts and there was a WQ up today, there were not any
up on my failed attempts.

Just some info nothing more.

I just completed this achievement after several tries. None of the world quests in the stickied post were up. I can confirm that the deciding factor was pulling the General (guy who drops the key) to the final boss door, killing him on the steps, immediately picking up the key, and standing right outside the door. The dialogue then triggered for me for the first time and I got the achievement. Killing the General outside the final boss door was the ONLY thing I changed from countless previous runs. I disabled all five beacons, killed all five sentries, and guessed the spy on the first try. Thank you to the previous posters who mentioned that the General could be pulled to the door! I highly recommend this crucial piece of information be added to the stickied post--and maybe revise that post altogether, since active world quests in Suramar don't seem to matter at all.

The requirements for this achievement are:

Don't let any of the 5 Sentries complete their Sound Alarm cast
Disable the 5 beacons before engaging the first boss
Kill all 3 demons separately before pulling Talixae
Guess spy on the first try

This achievement has been confusing for the community ever since it was introduced, however a recent fix to a Dungeon World Quest (Court of Stars: Wraith in the Machine) made it obtainable again.

There are no rng elements to this achievement. It does NOT matter:

how fast you clear the dungeon
what Suramar World Quests are active
how you do the trash for the second boss
how many times you talk with the Chatty Rumormongers
whether or not you RP Walk to the door
whether or not you kill the Dreadlord next to the door

Paladins may have noticed that Truthguard is will start to glow when you get near the impostor guest back in legion. However, I just had my normal (bfa) weapon glow just by having it transmogged into Truthguard. I did not have Truthguard equipped or in my bags and the shield model on my back would glow when I walked near the impostor. Not sure if this is intended but it is a nice bonus. I really loved the RP that Truthguard could detect the hidden deamons and the fact that we don't have to give that up is a fun surprise.

Advisor Melandrus has 2 different yells at the end, this shows if you sneaked in successfully or not and in turn if you are eligible for the achievement or not.

The Idea is that you are sneaking in perfectly so Melandrus / Elisandre don't learn you're there.

If he yells:

How dare you interrupt your betters!

The sneak was successfull (he didn't know you were coming)

If he yells:

Finally. I'll make this quick.

The sneak failed (he knew your were coming and waited for you)

As of 8.2.5 I did all the steps mentioned in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_ZiLRRhqfY and got my achievment.

Note that in the step where you have to kill the fellbound Enforcers you need to kill 3 of them each for 1 of the demons next to Talixae you will find them 1 by one and they will not all of them spawned, so take your time as i did and wait to kill all of them although i dont know how much of a requirment it is.

be SURE you track and check your achievement after each attempt, you might have gotten it and not realized it.

i got it today 2/15/2020, and it didn't pop up on my screen like achievements usually do. i was about to do a fresh run, but i happened to look at my achievements and saw i'd completed this. weird but true, it might have been a glitch or something, but no achievement flash or notification.

not sure whether i completed it during the previous Heroic run or my last Normal run, but in any event, i'm certain it can still be done on Heroic as of today. possibly on normal, but i'm not 100% sure.

I was finally able to get this achievement on Mythic today! I killed all of the sentries I saw, deactivated the pylons, and killed all three of the mini bosses leading up to the third boss.

It's still possible to get it in heroic version (got it just now). What I did:

Heroic difficulty, solo as 120 DH.
Killed all 5 sentries before first boss and didn't let them cast anything.
Deactivated all 5 beacons before first boss (I did step 2 & 3 at the same time).
Killed first boss (he didn't drink).
Killed enforcers before second boss to kill the demons separately.
Killed second boss (none of her demons present cus of step 5).
Guessed spy on first attempt.
Dragged the attackable spy to the door for last boss.
Picked up key and stood by the door without opening it. Waited until talk was done (maybe ~30s)
*Achievement done* :D

In my failed attempts I did the same except I had not killed all of the sentries (1st boss didn't get a cast off), I had not killed the demons separately (2nd boss) and I had not dragged the attackable spy to the door to the last boss.

As a side note: I saw the emotes "you don't belong here" etc after first boss inside of the party building but I still got the achievement. I also forgot to kill 1 enforcer but it evidently didn't matter.

This achievment is very much obtainable on heroic got my mount today on heroic difficulty dont let the description fool you

If you have a prot paladin, you can use your artifact weapon to find the hidden demon among the guest. It will glow once you're close which makes finding him easier.

Ok you all, I finally got this obnoxious achievement. I did the requirements: kill all the sentrys, destroy the signal beacons, pull Talixae apart from the other demons and kill her last, guess the spy first try.

After more than 40 tries I got so frustrated I decide to kill everything in the dungeon. AND THATS when I discovered when you kill everyone in each of the lower platforms around the Talixae bunch, the other three, one at a time, come and find you. I killed them all and then Talixae was all that was left. killed her guessed the spy killed the demon and Bob's your Uncle we got the achieve. BTW the convo is COMPLETELY different when you do this I guess a simpler way to say this is DO A FULL CLEAR!

Got this on my second try. The only difference between runs was that the first time I lost track and didn't kill all the sentries. Plenty of people have written steps, but I'll write some anyway, in case it saves someone from having to do this multiple times.

1) Mythic difficulty.
2) Killed 5x sentries before they cast anything, disabled 5x beacons.
3) Nuked Gerdo.
4) Killed an enforcer, waited for one of the demons with the Talixae to come check out the commotion. Nuked the demon. Repeated this 2 more times, until Talixae is alone.
5) Nuked Talixae
6) Got the disguise, talked to all of the gossips for 5 pieces of info on the spy. Identified spy correctly first time.
7) Nuked spy.
8) Took key, immediately ran to door where Melandrus was and opened it.
9) Nuked Melandrus.

When you open the door, the dialogue indicated that they didn't notice me (despite being right there). If you've ran this dungeon before, you'll immediately notice it's different. After Elisande left is when the achievement popped up for me.

I didn't kite any of the bosses anywhere, or wait for any particular cues. I killed the bare minimum and generally tried to run it as fast as I could.

Got this achievement today. Requirements still the same:

Kill the 5 Sentries and do not let them cast
Sound Alarm
Disable the 5 beacons before engaging the first boss
Kill all 3 demons separately before pulling Talixae
Guess spy on the first try

Apparently can be done in Heroic even if it's specified to do in Mythic (I did just now).
I didn't disable the 5 beacons before the first boss (i disabled 4, the last one i disabled later), but i actually killed almost instantly boss and sentinels on the way. Don't know if this somehow counts.
For the second bosses i did one at a time with the mechanic of killing a specific mob and wait for them to separate.
Spy guessed on first try.
The only thing i did differently than the other times is that i waited like 2 seconds before opening the last door, and that seemed to make Elisandre do the speech (i waited the end of the speech with the door closed).

Confirming it works on Heroic (I failed in mythic when I missed an enforcer, so went back and tried on heroic), and also my Protection Pally friend came along with "Truthguard" - the shield lit up when close to the spy (it was very obvious when it lit up). I still got all 5 clues first though, since the spy is clumped up with 3 other people.

I thought it would be worth noting that you can't complete this achievement and Waiting for Gerdo on the same run, but you can do one on Mythic and the other one on Heroic.

Getting Past Gerdo: For Gerdo, just pull carefully on your way to him and note the Sentries, making sure to kill them first without pulling the boss. I disabled one beacon, found the nearest sentry, melted them, and repeated. There will be 5 sentries in total.

Sniping Talixae: For Talixae, this part wasn't super obvious. There are "Felbound Enforcers" that spawn one at a time, shown on your map with a gold dot. Pull and kill one away from Talixae and she'll send one of her buddies to investigate. Repeat until all 3 cronies are dead.

Handling Sneaky Dudes: Truthguard (in pally's Prot spec) still makes the spy section absolutely trivial. (Submitting screenshot for what it should look like.) I do still recommend you talk to the rumormongers anyway as I didn't see the specific spy highlighted any differently even though Truthguard was indeed freaking out. The suspicious nobles tend to be in large clumps, so better safe than sorry. If you don't have Truthguard, make super ultra triple sure you understand the clues being given as failing to pick the correct spy the first time will cause you to fail the achievement.

The Conversation: Finally, do grab the keys from the spy BUT do not click on the door. Stay nearby and there's a big RP section. You'll know you did it right when Elisande specifically mentions dusk lilies and Thalyssra still being alive. Stay put until Elisande disappears and you will get the achievement before pulling Melandrus.

Hello! Thank you all for helping! I just completed this achievement on Mythic. I kept failing it even though I completed all the mentioned steps. What I learned later was, both achievements cannot be done in the same run.

Explanation: The first one:

Waiting for Gerdo

, requires you to kill all five Sentries first. Then, you have to engage the boss and wait for him to call for backup Signal Beacon. Once the guards have appeared, you can either kite the Boss and Adds to all 5 beacons to shut them down depending on your character level/endurance or kill the adds right away and then drag the boss to each beacon. Side Tip: Gerdo will also have a count of how many beacons are still activated attached to his name tag.

Summary: You cannot complete both achievements in one run because the first requires the FIRST BOSS to be alive and the beacons to be shut down during his encounter and the second requires all five Sentries dead and the beacons to be shut down BEFORE engaging the FIRST BOSS.

Location of Sentries:
1st one is near the first beacon
2nd one is patrolling the docks to the left of the 1st Sentry area
3rd one is patrolling in the courtyard area right after and just behind the 1st one
4th one is standing in the doorway next to the 2nd beacon
5th one is patrolling the bridge with two mobs right behind the 2nd Beacon

That achievement can be completed on heroic, as of 9.2 Shadowlands patch. What I did was:
- Kill 5 Sentries asap
- Turn off all the 5 beacons
- Kill demons separately
- Guess spy with a first try

Can still be completed on heroic difficulty (even after having done Waiting for Gerdo on mythic). Stickied comment still seems to be all that's required.

Per comments on that sticky, I did NOT click on the door until the achievement popped from the extended dialogue. Not sure if that's required.

I've been trying this since reset, and on all 5 toons I've brought in I cannot talk to the chatty rumormongers. I can't complete the achievement because I have no way to guess the spy reliably.

I can confirm that Truthguard glows when next to the spy when transmogged to my shield, I went prot just in case too. However, there is a down side to this, it will not identify only the spy, but the group that the spy is standing in, I.E. there are 4 in a group, so you still need to get the clues to determine which is the spy, but this worked very easily for me, I finally got it :) Once you get the keys to open the door, make sure that you do not open the door, let the dialogue between Advisor Melandrus and Grand Magistrix Elisande happen and the achievement will be granted once their dialogue ends, cheers!

Good lord... Sometimes WoWhead is just wrong, people. It seems all of these comments are pure speculation or it's truly RNG based. After many failed attempts I said screw it, I'm not paying any attention to WoWhead. So what did I do? Ignored everything. Didn't deactivate the beacons, just went stealth and assassinated what was in my way. Only thing I made sure to do was kill the demons before I killed Talixae. That's literally it. Guessed the right spy (because it's easy to do and it didn't take that much time), killed him, grabbed the keys, waited at the door (accidentally opened it too soon but apparently it didn't matter), got the achievement. Seriously, it's not rocket science, not sure why people had to do a rain dance to get this one.

I was able to complete the achievement even though the Suramar Citizen yelled: Hey, keep it down out there! We're trying to have a party!
I killed 5 Sentries along the way, then disabled all 5 beacons. I then killed the first boss, and then killed the 3 mini bosses separately from Talixae. I guessed the correct spy, killed the demon by the locked door, picked up the key, then went and stood by the locked there when the RP dialog started. I waited for it to stop then got the achievement. Opened the door and killed the boss.

Can confirm achievement can be got on Heroic. Mythic didnt work despite me doing exactly the steps, so just figured try it on heroic and it worked. I followed the steps listed in the sticky comment

As of today, patch 10.2.6, I attempted this achievement on 3 toons, and the last one worked because

1. Kill all 5 Duskwatch Sentries first, then to disable 5 Arcane Beacons
2. Kill 1st boss
3. Pick up whatever buff is for your toon around 2nd boss
4. Lure out 3 demons one by one, must kill just 1 at a time
5. Kill 2nd boss
6. Talk to all attandees to get all 5 clues and pick the right spy first try
7. Kill the demon spy, pick up key, run to the door and listen, do NOT door yet!
If you hear Elisande starts conversation with "You throw a party for vapid nobles even as rebels leave corpses strewn about our streets?"
Then you are on the right track, do NOT open door and wait for the conversation finish, you will see the achievement pop.
